One of the best mask/transfer proof lipsticks out there. Non drying. Flexible finish (matte color, or use with the clear gloss end for glossy finish, or blot down for satin). Moisturizing with the gloss. Doesn’t move with almost everything other than very oily food and needs to be taken off with oil removers. Slightly less opaque than the Dior ones. Very flattering shades. 43 - Sensual Rose - Purplish soft red 48 - Soft Rose - Desaturated deep rose. I like to use this dabbed with my fingers so it’s less dark and gives a mlbb color. 180 - Passionate Red - It’s very pretty but kind of dark on my skin 47 - Daring Red - Stunning shade of rich red. My fav for my complexion. For foundation shade I wear Dior Forever in 1N and Estee Lauder DW 2C0. Will be posting swatches ... MoreOne of the best mask/transfer proof lipsticks out there. Non drying. A classic long-wearing lipstick with two formulas: The long-wearing lipstick is applied first, left to dry and then the translucent gloss is thinly applied for a well-groomed shine and feel. Not much different from other two-phase lipsticks from the drugstore. The color can be applied very precisely and does not fade you can see it on Daring Red For me, the difference lies in the texture. This is so light, you don't need any color for the entire lip. The color covers very well, even with two very light tones and that - only with a thin thin layer. The word fluid hits her perfectly. This is not the case with . Once applied, even the lightest of Merry Rose held up to six hours of burgers, fries, syrup, and popcorn without fading, slipping, crumbling, or feeling dry. For me, this was a whole new level of quality when it came to long-wearing lipsticks

I purchase this lipstick from Nordstrom after hearing Erin Nicole TV, Sabrina from TheBeautyLookBook and Stephanie Marie rave about the formula. I have Intense Caramel which is a beautiful natural warm pinky beige. It has a hint of vanilla scent that doesn’t linger but WOW it lasts!! I hate liquid lips except for the NYX XXL but this is truly a high end gem product! Erin says you must use the included gloss Bc other glosses won’t extend the color as well. I totally get that because the gloss is a super shiny formula and somehow lasted thru mask wearing and a full Indian meal. Your lips feel so hydrated the whole time. I touch up with the gloss 2x during the night to add moisture. Yup it’s $40 but yup it’s worth it 100000%. Nothing lasts like this with this amount of comfort.

I have had eczema nearly of my life and these have been a gamechanger for me. They NEVER break me out. My lips look full, moisturized (as long as I put the gloss over it), and "put-together" with these products, especially at work! I only need to re-apply twice at most after eating and drinking. My favorites are Tender Beige (flattering rosy beige, mainly neutral), Intense Caramel (which is slightly pinker and has some shimmer compared to Intense Beige), Soft Rose (which looks like a medium-deep mauve beige on me), Light Brown (1990s-esque medium chocolate), and Soft Coral (the perfect, sunniest red-coral). Strawberry Red is the pinker version of Soft Coral; I have even tried Timeless Beige, which is pale compared to Tender Beige but looks amazing and blendable with a mauve, beige, or brown lipliner for versatile looks. Sensual Rose is a mildly muted creamy rose red, while Bright Raspberry appears to be its magenta counterpart. Merry Rose is a frosty pink that is nearly white; Milky Blueberry is very "purple-toned" while Intense Blueberry has hints of mauve, gray, and burgundy. Chic Rosewood is quite mauve depending on your undertone, and looks like the Le Rouge Duo of Chanel's Rouge Coco lipstick in Mademoiselle. I work in healthcare; I swear I don't for Chanel! But for someone with severe skin issues, these have been a dream for me, and I have gifted them to loved ones. What I do is apply the lipcolor first, wait 2-3 minutes, then put the gloss on top for a lasting look.
I own eight of these. In order to avoid transfer and patchiness, it's important to follow correct application techniques. Do NOT moisturize your lips first. Make sure your lips are dry and exfoliated. Apply even coating. Not too thin but these cannot be built up either so thick enough to be opaque on first application. Do NOT press your lips together to try to disperse color. Allow to dry and you must use gloss to seal in color on first application. Gloss doesn't stay too shiny so no worries there. Do NOT press your lips together throughout the day to try to disperse color as you would a typical lipstick. This will cause the product to break up and look patchy. I also mix colors to create a custom color but needs to be done when first applied and very quickly before it dries down and before gloss. It will stay on and look beautiful all day.
Absolutely love this lipstick, but am very disappointed that you no longer carry the color that I like best, Light Rose #40. According to the sales person in Walnut Creek, CA, you have been out of it for a long time, as with most of the Roses. She said they were the best sellers. Also I was aghast at the price increase. As for the lipstick, since I have discovered it. I have really liked it a great deal. I love how the color actually stays on, even after eating. Cosmetic companies always does this with things people like, discontinue products or the price jumps so high.
I was looking for a transfer proof, long lasting lipstick in a bright pink shade and trusted the several makeup blogger influencers who claimed this was the absolutely best formula ever! There shows were sponsored by Chanel so I should have known better. This product went on patchy and i had to dip into the tube 3 times to even get color on my lips. Then after about 2 minutes it dried (as I expected) but soon started peeling on the inner corner of my lip. I added the gloss as instructed and it looks great for about 5 minutes and then started to come off my lips. The color admittedly did not fade, but was peeling and patchy on my lips. I can't really send a picture because it looked so bad but if you are thinking of purchasing this product, be prepared to be ... MoreI was looking for a transfer proof, long lasting lipstick in a bright pink shade and trusted the several makeup blogger influencers who claimed this was the absolutely best formula ever! Not only because the product was such poor quality but because i had to order it from Nordstom in the US at additional shipping costs since I live in Switzerland. Last time I purchase Chanel I am afraid. Thank you for reading my review. I am sure it will not be published, but appreciate the opportunity to share my experience.
I bought the shade Merry Rose (and I also have Darling Pink). I have dry lips and live in a dry climate (CO) so I was worried these would be uncomfortable. With the gloss on top it feels great! These two shades are very light and natural. I have light-light/med skin tone and prefer subtle lipcolors for daytime. These are perfection with peachy pink blushes. They wear beautifully. I did not think I would like them this much. I want to buy backups so I don't run out because I notice these keep selling out.
Not sure what to say and am confused how some people have given this a 5 star rating. Certainly this doesn’t just work horribly on my lips. I have used Chanel for over 20 yrs. Love the makeup so never dreamed this product would be any less exceptional. It is 100% horrible. Unless you have the smoothest lips without a crack, crease or dry area this product is worthless. It is sticky and feels like a wax coating on your lips. When you apply the clear coat it accentuates the creases and cracks and feels like lipgloss over sticky wax. Save your money. My product went straight into the trashcan.
I mix 40 light rose + 69 tender beige on the back of my hand and apply with a brush to exfoliated clean bare lips. Let it dry 2 minutes, then apply the gloss. Do not skip the gloss or it won’t perform. It last forever! This photo was taken after lunch! I use the blue Garnier micellar water to get it off.40 Light Rose - medium warm muted coral-pink69 Tender Beige - medium neutral nude-brown397 Merry Rose - light neutral pink-beige (honestly streaky and too light, for mixing only)172 Light Mauve - medium cool lavender-pink40 Light Rose + 69 Tender Beige = my favorite everyday combo! 397 Merry Rose + 69 Tender Beige is a great nude.
