This foundation ( wearing # 61) in my opinion is my number ONE luxury foundation that is TOTALLY worth the $80 I spent on it. When I first heard of this foundation, I though to myself that I’m just paying for the name CHANEL. However, I was totally WRONG! This foundation is the perfect foundation for acne prone skin, it is oily free and have acne fighting ingredients that prevents you from breaking out unlike other foundations. All time favorite foundation!

This foundation is my holy grail. It's got a natural looking color (rather than orange/pink), it looks skinlike and glowy, and is even more transfer proof than Estée Lauder. It's long wearing despite seeming like it shouldn't be. The cons are that this only has a medium coverage, has fragrance, and is expensive, but the fragrance doesn't bother me despite being sensitive. The look and performance of this foundation makes it worth rebuying for me. What I usually do is apply 1 layer of this all over with a buffing brush, then dab some extra on red blotchy areas, then pack the NARS soft matte complete concealer on any leftover bumps or spots that need more coverage. These products combined give me the coverage I need while still looking like I barely have makeup on. ... MoreThis foundation is my holy grail. This foundation is in my top 5 foundations of all time. I have over 40 foundations at home, I’m a makeup junkie and can honestly say this is one of the best on the market. On the higher end side compared to others I have but I will gladly pay the price. This foundation is absolutely medium to full coverage. Any comments saying it’s not full coverage obviously does not know how to apply makeup. Anything thicker than this will settle into fine lines and crease and fall apart around the nose. Highly recommend!

I use this foundation every day and it doesn't feel or look heavy/cakey. I love that I don't have to try hard to blend it into my skin, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing foundation even after many hours.I do think it's easier to apply using a brush vs a sponge or beauty blender, especially if I need two coats for a night out. I wish Chanel made more shades for fair neutral olive skin tones. I currently have to mix two shades to get the perfect tone.I've gone through multiple bottles of this. I highly recommended if you're wanting a medium-full coverage foundation that doesn't feel heavy! For reference I have sensitive/combination skin.

My new HG foundation!

I've been using this foundation for over a week and it has seriously given my old HG foundation, Estee Double Wear, a run for its money! I have combination skin with some breakouts and discoloration. I need something that will be long-lasting, keep my oiliness at bay, not break me out, but also make my skin look luminous. This worked like a charm. My t-zone has stayed matte with no weird streaks, even with the mask on. I don't even have to really do midday touch-ups anymore. I also like how my skin looks very natural. When applied, it feels pretty light compared to the DW. However, you can build it up and it will cover everything you need it to. On the other hand, the DW feels heavier and is super matte, almost flat-looking, and would cake/emphasize some texture. Not great, but good...

Chanel products have always intrigued me and was excited to try one of their foundations. I wanted the le tient velvet, but it's being discontinued so thought to go with this one. It has great coverage and color match, but the finish was underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, it has many attributes of a good foundation. Nothing cakey or inconsistent about the wear or coverage. Feels good on the skin. It just doesn't 'wow' me as it did other reviewers. My skin seemed dull and lifeless in comparison to other full coverages like estee and Lancôme. I won't send it back, but wont repurchase either.

I could see this one being one that might trigger a migraine; however, I did notice the scent faded pretty rapidly in my opinion. It's not a deal breaker because of how gorgeous the foundation wore on my skin, but I would not be upset if they removed the fragrance altogether! Definitely worth the extra cash if you feel like splurging on a foundation, but if I found anything cheaper that was comparable, I would probably go with that option over this pricey formula.

Safe for Sensitive Skin & Great Coverage!

As someone with sensitive and dry skin prone to breakouts, but also desiring good coverage, the hunt for a quality foundation has been disappointing. This one has renewed my hope. For dry skin, I would recommend using a good moisturizer before application. The coverage lasts a long time with only minimal touch ups needed to eliminate oils, and this does not irritate my skin. Provides excellent coverage without looking caked on. I love it. Only con: for those of us with warm/yellow/olive undertones, the closest we can get to warmth are the golden shades and these are still too rosy to be a perfect match. Hoping they expand the shade selection, but overall I'm very pleased with the performance of this!
