I do love the flawless finish of this powder, it does make my pores look amazing. However the con is that this powder oxidizes and with the limited shade range it can be hard to find your shade. Due to it oxidizing, it doesn’t really brighten my under eye area, but it is great for a natural, or light makeup day. For me, this powder doesn’t replace my laura mercier, I find myself using that more, so if you use the laura mercier translucent setting powder, stick to that!!! However, it is great for touching up your makeup throughout the day, and controlling oiliness. If a $60 CAD powder for touchups is financially reasonable for you, then all the power to you!!

Oh goodness. This may be an unpopular opinion but I do not think this is worth the price. I wanted this for my under eyes and as a setting powder for my dry sensitive skin but I did not like this. I usually use Laura Mercier translucent setting powder but had heard so many good things about this I decided to give it a try. It did not blur my under eyes the same way. It worked okay for the rest of my face but nothing mind-blowing like the reviews on You tube say. I would say this is an average-setting powder. Three stars because the packaging is beautiful and I think that is what you are paying for at this point. If you need a basic setting powder there are better options out there. Maybe this works better for those with oily skin but for my dry skin it just didn't ... MoreOh goodness. This may be an unpopular opinion but I do not think this is worth the price. So I caved in after telling myself it’s insanity to spend almost 50$ on a powder- but here we are. This product feels like velvet In the pan and is just buttery soft. It sets my eyes beautifully. My only complaint is the price seems a bit unjustifiable (I mean if my girlfriend found out I spent that much on a powder she’d ask me if their was gold in it) which sucks cause I really love this product it’s just not wallet friendly for me in this economy. On the other hand I am a bit confused about the shades- I’m olive skinned but still fair- but shade 1 looks very white- and in the pan shade 2 is a bit darker but applied to my skin it pulls a little orangey or darker than it appears In pan- I might exchange it for shade one but it’s so hard to tell what your actual ... MoreSo I caved in after telling myself it’s insanity to spend almost 50$ on a powder- but here we are. So I try and make the right choice before leaving the store, however this one’s hard to tell if your not tan but also not super white. So just test them out in store and walk around for a few minutes cause I did notice the color shifted darker or pulling an orangey tone where as it’s lighter in the pan- but I only swatched shade 1 & 2 in the store quickly shade 1 was pasty but had I left it on long enough it would’ve oxidized to my True Tone, I might be able to make it work but just be aware the shade in the pan is deceiving. This is the softest powder though and it does an excellent job of blurring and setting. I only took a star off cause it’s so expensive, also I thought the packaging wasn’t plasticky and metal since it is a luxury item. I see why this product is beloved in the community my store can’t keep any of her products in stock, it goes by so fast

I absolutely love this powder and I recommend anyone to buy it. But- I have an issue with the component! I dropped the powder once while it was closed onto CARPET, and normally this wouldnt really affect any pressed product, but with this one, the powder part completely came out of the tin, broke, and I had to pick it up and put it back in and try to press it back in. It’s so sad because I wasted so much product. And this has happened twice! I have so many powder products, bronzers, blushes, other powder foundations/ pressed powders that have never done this when I drop them. I hope they look into this! It seems like an extremely fragile product. But I still really love the finish of it! I just know to be extremely careful with this product now 😅
Honestly, it depends on where and what you use it for. I have average/normal skin. I’ve used this to set my cheeks below contour, eyes and forehead. It really does give a flawless finish if I use it below (not u see, but BELOW) my contour. My skin looks great down there. On my eyes it’s meh. Nothing spectacular and pretty average. On my forehead it’s a clumpy mess and I’m not oily up there either. I have a really relevant frown mark that shows if I make a face and it DIGS into it and stays there. After about 20-30 min ny forehead looks super powdery and dry. I tried it different ways for a month, but ultimately I don’t think it’s worth purchasing again.
OK, am all about trying to recycle when possible so this REFILL seems like a good idea, right? WRONG! Just got it and tried to remove the existing insert from the compact. IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish without destroying the plastic housing holding the used one. Tried popping it out. No success. Used a razor blade to gently pry it away. Nope. Used a thin screwdriver to pry it out. No way! Finally, used a tiny surgical stat to pull it away and, of course, that was unsuccessful!! What gives with this brand, which is one of my favorites?! PLEASE, Charlotte Tilbury, don't produce unusable products unless you have practically attempted to use them. Maybe I'm missing something, but have a graduate degree in Nursing & know all kinds of shortcuts to problem solve things like ... MoreOK, am all about trying to recycle when possible so this REFILL seems like a good idea, right? Whatever, sending it back and had to order an entirely NOT necessary new compact at more expense. Poor Nordstrom paid shipping both ways and now are shipping out a new product! Insanity!! WASTE makes me feel angry as a consumer and this product should get the 2023 Award for the Worst Impractical Makeup Product of the year.
I am so happy i bought this product! Just WOW! IF you buy this product, apply under eyes you can instantly compare to the other side and wow. Makeup looks flawless/filtered as marketed. I will be a new loyal customer for this product and will recommend it to everyone. I have used Laura Mercier, Urban Decay and By Terry Powders in the past. This is definitely a nicer finish and i love the packaging and how sleek it is. Perfect to pop into your handbag, no worry about spillage. I haven't had the product fall out of the compact or move around like the other reviews.
I originally bought a travel size of this powder; Thinking I bought an off-shade - I purchased a full-size one. I wanted to like this product, I tried it so many different ways. But Is it just me, or does this turn any foundation you are wearing orange? I couldn't figure out why my foundation was oxidizing so badly, and then I switched back to a different pressed powder and realized it was this powder changing me into a tangerine. I didn't have overly high hopes for this, as I find this skin product line to not be anything overly remarkable, But this was just straight-up disrespectful. Why is the white finishing powder turning me this orange? It also settled in all my facial creases and after a few hours, I looked like I rolled in all-purpose flour; but faked ... MoreI originally bought a travel size of this powder; Thinking I bought an off-shade - I purchased a full-size one. This was just not my cup of tea. Sorry, not worth it and I'm debating on returning it. After all the rave tik-toks and "must have" videos, I was expecting this to be a holly grail.
i wish i could give this 3.5 stars. it is such a beautiful powder, but ms tilbury decided to cheat us with the amount of product!I love this powder tons - i panned it in about a month and had to find a replacement. nothing really blurred my pores and gave me that stunning finish like this one did.comparing this to other finishing powders, it is a fair price. the laura mercier powder is 50 dollars now (one of the pressed versions) the Lancôme is around 50, and the bobbi brown one is 45. i have not tried all of them, but have found that for a finishing powder this is pretty darn average. although it is expensive, it isnt disporportionately expensive or unjustifiable.pros:- goodbye pores!- beautiful semi matte not flat finish- not luminous or sparkly, just ... Morei wish i could give this 3.5 stars. it is such a beautiful powder, but ms tilbury decided to cheat us with the amount of product!I love this powder tons - i panned it in about a month and had to find a replacement. nothing really blurred my pores and gave me that stunning finish like this one did.comparing this to other finishing powders, it is a fair price. the laura mercier powder is 50 dollars now (one of the pressed versions) the Lancôme is around 50, and the bobbi brown one is 45. i have not tried all of them, but have found that for a finishing powder this is pretty darn average. although it is expensive, it isnt disporportionately expensive or unjustifiable.pros:- goodbye pores!- beautiful semi matte not flat finish- not luminous or sparkly, just natural looking- holds makeup well and keeps the blur going throughout the day- great for travel and very classy looking- feels like you are interacting with a luxury product (mostly metal, sturdy, silky powder)- adds a smidge of coverage and polishes a makeup lookcons:- pretty expensive- non refillable (would love an option for this!)- not clean (may not be a huge deal depending on who you are)- tends to oxidize foundationi do want to talk a bit on that - if your foundation is a shade too dark and you set this all over your face, it will make you orange. i only use this in my t-zone and it works beautifully, but one time i used it to set my entire face and my sister told me that i should not leave the house because of how orange i looked (in a nice way lol).depending on your needs, this is going to be a great powder for you. it pans relatively quickly but you can get away with only using a little.i love sing this with a flat top kabuki brush, and really buffing it into my pores.tldr: this powder is amazing, weigh the pros and cons but if you can afford it try it out.
This is my go to setting powder, I have dry acne prone sensitive skin. This makes me look so soft without being overpowered and cakey looking. Plays well with cc creamAnd full coverage foundation. Doesn’t irritate my skin and sets my under eyes beautifully. I use a powder puff for application but if I’m rushing and just want to quick set I go in with my it cosmetics all over powder brush. If I want a lasting look I use Charlotte tilbury setting mist and melt everything in together and actually makes my foundation stay in place. I use to have Laura Mercier setting translucent powder but after looking on COSDNA I found that to be one of the biggest reasons I was breaking out.
