Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick - Mark of A Kiss - 3.5g

I received the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick and the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat, both in the shade Icon Babe, from Influenster and Charlotte Tilbury in exchange for my honest review. I’m not a big lip liner girl, but these two together are just perfect!! The shade is absolutely beautiful and the lip liner is super subtle and glides right on! The lipstick is such a pretty yet subtle shade, I believe it would work for many different skin tones. It’s not nude and not pink but somewhere in the middle. And because of the shimmer, in some lighting, it actually looks really glossy while in other lighting, it looks like a satin finish (I’ve attached some pictures). I did notice that the lipstick did feel a bit “gritty” - but that’s due to the glitter/shimmer in the lipstick. It didn’t bother me, but may bother some. Also I removed it with a tissue and a ton of glitter was left behind (see above picture). When using a makeup wipe, the glitter does not get left behind. Although it felt gritty at some points, it doesn’t feel gritty going on. It’s really smooth and actually feels a bit hydrating for a lipstick! Usually I need a gloss on top or chapstick underneath my lipstick, but this lipstick feels and looks good without either. The packaging is absolutely beautiful, just like all of Charlotte Tilbury’s packaging! Another winner from Charlotte Tilbury!

I purchased Rose to Fame, Icon Baby, and 90's Pink. Rose to Fame and 90's Pink are very creamy long lasting (for a cream lip) and very close to my natural darker mauve lip color. Comfortable and look really gorgeous on. I dont really need a lipliner with these two. Now for Icon Baby. It took me a long time to decide between Candy Chic and icon baby and im a little disappointed. While Icon is a really beautiful color (think pillow talk just a bit warmer) and the lippie looks lovely on, it has this micro glitter in it. Which is fine. I dont mind a shimmer done right in a lipstick by all means. But! Its a little bit gritty. Its not bad at all that's not even my main complaint about it. I can deal with that. This happens when you wipe or dab your mouth or talk! So trying to get the little glitters off destroys your makeup. And youre left with glitter bukkake on your face. And when you go to remove the icon baby, the glitter is still on your lips it doesnt budge! And its drying its glitter. Im not exactly mad at it, its a very fine glitter, and its very pretty on the lips. But it would have been nice to know that this shade was a different girl than the others so I could've made a better decision to my lipstick desires. I wouldve got Candy Chic or Red Carpet Pink and I will. I will still wear Icon Baby but with caution. Charlotte, you need to properly advertise your glorious lipsticks when theres a weird glitter in ONE shade out of 5. Because you cant see it in the photos either. My only gripe is that. Otherwise the other 2 are fantastic. So if you dont want glitter on your face steer clear of Icon Baby for the lighter pinks and get Candy Chic or red carpet pink instead. This formula and the new pinks are 5 star but i had to knock a star off for no mention of that glitter in icon baby and the problems its caused.

Can't recommend it, despite the good aspects...

As I already own (and love) CT's lip liner in the 'Pillow Talk' shade, I figured I would love this too. Wrong! Even though it's highly pigmented, it just does not deliver in any other way. I find it very drying, it doesn't last long on the lips (a few hours at best) and starts to become patchy and uneven, despite taking care to eat/drink very mindfully in a (vain) attempt to make it stay on longer. I didn't find the lip liner to be this drying, even when used to fill in my lips and will probably just stick to using that in place of the lip stick. There's Vitamin E in here so I'm genuinely surprised it's this drying, usually any lippie that contains Vitamin E doesn't leave my lips feeling dried out. Genuinely moisturizing, but not sparkly, lipstick!

A lipstick that claims to be moisturizing that is actually . . . moisturizing!This is a great lipstick, which doesn't surprise me as I've been happy with almost everything from Charlotte Tilbury!It's quite moisturizing (as mentioned), is not shiny (if you like a lip gloss look, this isn't what you're looking for) and has very good staying power. Glamorous creamy red for a flawless matte lip!

I was so excited to receive this Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Hollywood Vixen because I’m obsessed with lipstick and liner and wear it daily. Applying lipstick daily is like breathing; so when you get a magnificent one, you delight in it. This red is the PERFECT vibrant red for full, bold lips. I’m not usually a fan of red though because I feel it washes me out; but not this beautiful color. It’s more of a cool toned red that brings life back to your face. Holy grail shade

I almost didn't buy this shade, because I was afraid it'd be too dark or vampy. But I've bought two at this point - I've never repurchased a lipstick. I think the description of this is 100% accurate - the tone is cool, but it has a bit of rose thrown in, so it doesn't look dead on the lips. This doesn't have any brown tones - i feel like it's so hard to find lipsticks without brown/beige/'neutral' tones in them!I wear no or minimal makeup on a daily basis, and i almost always feel like a clown when wearing most lip colors. But i am wearing this every day, both with no makeup and with a minimal makeup style. It's so beautiful. I love it with a very light application and with more of a full application. Then i rub my lips together in a way that slightly pushes the lipstick outside of my lip lines, which gives my lips a slightly larger look but in a very natural way.

If you're not that into nude tones and want a pretty MLBB look (light application) that you can build into a deeper color if desired, then I'd say Rose is a safer buy. 90s is warmer and does have a nude vibe, though it is still a pink - i think it'll look best on me when i have a bit of makeup on. I LOVE everything about this lipstick. I got the shade Icon Baby and one thing to note that surprised me as it is not advertised for this shade, is that it is a shimmer/sparkle formula. I was expecting it to be like the other Satin Shine lipsticks so this surprised me when I first used it. However, when the product goes on your lips it gives the most beautiful, juicy, healthy shine. You cannot actually see any shimmer or glitter in the finish even though its sparkly in the tube. When it hits the lips, there is no grit or glitter whatsoever just a gorgeous luster. It wears very nicely throughout the day, no chapping, drying or flaking. In fact, I like the wear on this shade better than the typical Satin Shine lipsticks.
