I’m a big fan of Cheez-it crackers but the Extra Toasty are next level delicious. The cheddar cheese flavor is even more intense and crispy. We always have a couple of boxes on hand because the entire family loves them. They are a quick snack that is satisfying. I will continue to buy and recommend to others. Some have described them as “burnt”. I wouldn’t call it a burnt taste. It’s a more intense cheese flavor and crunch. They’re delicious.

First off glad these have less fat, but Cheez-It crackers aren’t apples and oranges. You’re not in this for the beta carotene or vitamin C. Yet these do serve a purpose. For our family, it’s a movie time favorite. Last night we watched US Marshals on Netflix, and this was our snack. These are enjoyable, although admittedly they aren’t the most exciting grub. They are good, but not great. Still glad to get them, especially if on sale. This last week they were, so got some. These have a pronounced cheddar flavor. Plus some salt, and who doesn’t like the orange square texture? They’ve been around countless generations. You can find them anywhere. Plus occasionally there are coupons for these. Glad to have enjoyed them, and will certainly once again.

I have purchased this product a lot over the years. My kids have always loved cheez-it crackers. I love snacking on them myself. There just so crispy and crunchy. You can really taste the cheese in these crackers. I like that they are baked crackers. I recently found this 6 pack at my local Ollie's for under $2. I thought that was a great deal. I really like these individual packs there great to pack for your kids lunches or for them a snack too.

To be honest, these are fine. I like Cheez-Its and this meets the assignment. I like the extra cheesy ones better, but these come in a big box with 45 little serving size bags inside. That's two months of school lunch. If you're studying at home, open them up on top of your keyboard. The crackers are big enough that they won't accidentally slip between the keys. If you're watching tv, you can open two bags. Eat one during the show and share the second bag with your furry friend (dog or weird bearded man that is taking up the other half of the couch). If they have a flaw, it's that they're not the cross-word version of the crackers. Those taste exactly the same, but you also get a game with your food.
Have you ever eaten popcorn or crackers and ate one that was slightly more cooked than the rest? It's a whole new level of delicious, right? That's not these. These are burnt and flavorless. ZERO flavor except burnt bitterness. These sucked the life out of my mouth leaving no moisture in their wake. All with no discernable salt on top of the cracker. The cheese flavor I expected was non-existent. In my opinion, an incredibly bad product. Not one person in our household, even slightly, enjoyed these. Returning them.
Like many others who have come here to say the same thing - I have long loved cheezits, but they now have no flavor and also lacking salt. What has happened? Feels like the recipe was quietly changed. I'm on my third family sized box purchased in the last several months and I am sad to say I won't be buying more. They are so bad that they just sit in the pantry and get stale as nobody eats them. That NEVER used to happen. PLEASE bring back the old recipe!
My experience with Cheezits began in 1939 when I transferred to a school where I had to buy my lunch. A small box of Cheezits was part of my lunch every school day after that until my family moved and I no longer had that choice. Through the years Ihave continued to enjoy then but never as tasty as those early years. I recently bought two (12.4 oz) boxes at my local market (dtd sep0523pa1) when they were on sale. I always keep looking for the taste of those early years but these latest ones are just too far removed from the early taste to stomach. They no longer taste good and I'm torn between resigning them to the garbage man or maybe a compost pile. I'm 90+ years old and very disappointed that something I once enjoyed over a long span of years has gotten so far ... I guess if you've never tasted the real McCoy, today's product is good enough, but thats' not for me. So sad!!!
Originally, my favorite flavor Cheez-It was Zesty Cheddar Ranch Grooves. They were the best until they completely changed them. My new favorite flavor was Pepper Jack as they normally have a great taste to them. That is, until I opened the most recent box that I purchased (See attached photo). I actually refrained from buying them for a while for this exact reason. I get it that times are tough for everybody but if you’re going to increase your prices, I as a consumer expect a better product than this. This is flat out unacceptable! I’m done buying Cheez-Its for a while now as burnt crackers tend to be a new trend.
I used to love the White Cheddar Cheez-Its and would buy one or two boxes each time I grocery shopped. But the past 4 or 5 boxes of White Cheddar Cheez-Its have been overly baked and hardly any of the delicious flavor of white cheddar. They taste like boring saltine crackers now. Why are they being burnt?? Devoted consumers to this product do not want burnt and flavorless White Cheddar Cheez-It's, we want the delicious crackers we once loved. Sadly, I'll not be purchasing these anymore.
Not sure what changed within the ingredients, but Cheez-its no longer have the addictive, cheesy, delicious taste that our family used to crave and enjoy. Cheese-its were ALWAYS available in our home as a snack growing up and everyone loved them. They were a real treat eaten plain as well dipped in whipped cream cheese & chives. Yummm! I wish Cheez-its maintained their original recipe. The last few boxes we purchased have been bland, and the texture seems to have changed as well. Cheez-its are no longer a ‘must have’ on our family’s grocery lists. Please go back to the original recipe. This new version is not good.
