I read the instruction manual. Who does that? Me. I learned a lot. I also learned that my cupcakes cooked at the back after than at he front. So it’s good to check these things out. My partner cooked a roast the other day. The entire skin was crackle!!!! Amazing!!! No complaints from me. I love that it has its own grill section.

Pros - Good quality build and installer had good knowledge of product.Pros - After turning off solid hotplates they retain their heat for some timeCons - No light to show if any hotplates are on (better still lights to show which hotplate is on).Cons - Solid Hotplates take a long time to heat up compared to coil hotplates. New solid Hotplates don't get as hot as previous coil hotplate unit that was replaced.Overall - Good unit and works as designed. Oven feature that leaves the light on while cooking is a good idea.

The Chef 54cm hotplate works well and does what it is supported to do.The oven has both a RED LED to tell you it is on and the light showing you inside the oven while it is on.Solid hotplates are great especially for spills.Only downside is the is no light to tell you the hotplate is on. Better still some ovens have and individual light for each hotplate. Safety wise this is a drawback. I have now instigated a regime of placing a whistling kettle on the hotplate after i finish using it, just in case i leave it on ( which on i have done so on two occasions)

Lopsided oven shelvesWobbly and dangerous front trivet. Apparently its designed for woks, but not everyone uses a wok! Wasnt told that although the stove and oven are gas, the grill is electric. On that note, there is only one height level in the grill and very flimsy arms to hold the tray. They fall out easily and are so hard to put back in. Have only used soap and water for cleaning stovetop, yet some of the coating has peeled or faded. Will be replacing.
Cooker was for my elderly parents. Ease of use was most important along with a gas oven. The most difficult thing for them is the way modern stoves are lit - you have to hold the gas button in and press the ignition button at the same time but once they mastered this all was fine. Mum is able to cook well with it and she loves it. The oven has a fan and there is also a separate electric griller. The stove top is very easy to clean as once you remove all the burners it's a flat surface that can easily be wiped.
I just had the oven/stove installed - it looks good but is of very flimsy construction. When pushing the unit in place over a vinyl floor (with some floor resistance) both rear legs base bent because its so flimsy. This done some damage to the base that we managed to partly bent it back in place. You can lift the front but unfortunately this cannot be done to the back as you push the stove in. This happened with the floor fixing bracket in place. The floor fixing bracket needs redesign as it does not work with a vinyl floor. The electrician and I tried installing it but at the end gave up as the unit could not be moved to the bracket and the more we tried the more the rear legs bent. I will see If I can order replacement rear base and legs and have it reinstalled in ... MoreI just had the oven/stove installed - it looks good but is of very flimsy construction. Not my first choice, but I was limited due to the narrow size of the oven and the fact I wanted duel fuel. Turns out this oven is duel fuel. The grill is electric and not gas. I'm not a huge fan of silver appliances, every tiny splash from the hotplate shows up. Ain't 'body got time to clean that often. And something inside rattles when I use it, which is annoying. For this amount of money, it's worth spending that little bit extra on a higher-end brand.
The service and price all very good. But, the product itself a bit disappointing. Only used for a week after installed, the black rack on the right side already tilted! Luckily, we haven’t thrown away black racks from old appliance. So we are using the new black rack on the left and our old black rack on the right side. Also noticed the product quality is not good as my old Chef appliance. Hopefully, this one will last over a decade like my old one.
Installed with the rear floor plate and a front bolt that are needed to stop the oven tilting over, we had 2 issues that required Electrolux technicians before we could fully use the stove. Firstly the two left burners would light but not stay on. Turned out the sensor wiring had been done the wrong way round so the safety unlit gas cut off engaged. Secondly the oven fan, which worked when the oven was cool, rattled badly when the oven got hot. Turned out the fan was not attached firmly enough and had to be 'snapped' back on. One other odd feature found while having the oven slipped in and out from the wall for maintenance was the adjustable legs would spin against the floor plate and hence make it difficult to level. It all works very well and the customer service, delivery and installation were seamless. We are happy as we wanted to upgrade our oven and this one so far has not disappointed. The only criticism of design is that I wish it had two large burners at the front and the smaller ones at the back. We need to be mindful of the pots were are used to on the old oven not mixing up the new burners. The wok burner heats up well. I like the electric ignition too - be mindful of its cord connection though as some additional powerpoints may need to be installed to allow for aesthetics (we need to divert a powerpoint from the range hood connection via inside the kitchen wall to make the cord look "pleasing") That may not be an issue to anyone happy to use a double powerpoint, mini ... A shout out to the customer service at bayswater good guys. not only did they honour the deal that was due to end the day after we actually purchased, but their customer service, delivery time and installation were fantastic. so good, we bought a fridge and range hood too. Springvale goodguys take notice as although you are less than 2km from us - your poor phone service to my partner who was inquiring about this product cost you a massive retail sale. It pays to be polite and not rude!
