I really like these dog nail trimmers for small dogs! I think there are 2 styles as well as differences in size for small large dogs. These are the guillotine style. They are the best trimmers we have used on him in his 11yrs. They get the job done safely quickly! It still takes 2 of us to hold him down. They are less traumatizing then others we have tried. I would buy these again!

My labs nails are so thick and every clipper we found never worked until we came upon these! They are a little pricey but it's worth it if your dogs have thick nails, and tend to split with the cheaper ones. They grip very nice in the hands to get a good grasp also. Definitely love these from CHI brand, we found these at petsmart for 19.99$.

Gets the job done quickly and makes it very easy!!! Literally took 3 mins to clip both my large dogs nails!!!
I was worried that I would get plastic junk buying them unseen. They are not junk. They cut my labs nails fast and easy. The locking mechanism is not easy to take off. Thats why they are not rated a perfect five.
i have tried several types of nail clippers for my Yorkie and have found Chi brand is the only one worth buying. They are sharp and make quick clean cuts painlessly without splitting or breaking the nails .
Works well for dark thick large dog nails. My Lab-Mix hates nail trim and these made it very easy and the nail guard made them safe, too.
