Christian Dior Addict - 100ml Eau De Parfum Spray.

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

But really I wanted to come here and give thanks and my 5 stars to Beauty Affairs! In this current climate (covid) it’s been tough.... Classic perfume. Great as an evening fragrance. It is important to say that I’m reviewing a 2014 version because the old one has a difference in the pyramid. The new pyramid includes: Mandarin Leaf, Orange Blossom, Jasmine Sambac and Bourbon Vanilla. I hear 3 stages of this perfume. In the beginning I hear a bright mandarin note, a little later vanilla appears but it’s not a confectionery vanilla, it’s sweet and spice vanilla. And at the end I hear notes of ice cream :) It’s very warm and soft at the end. Very long lasting on clothes. Before buying this perfume, I sprayed it on paper strip at the store and put it in my purse. The next day I threw away the paper strip, but my purse continued to smell like Dior Addict for weeks.

I bought Addict and was excited to see it was still offered blindly online. When it arrived I couldn’t believe how heavenly it was. We had plans to meet friends for dinner and in the car he asked “what is that perfume you’re wearing , now that smells really good, don’t wear anything else. “ I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten and requests on where do I get that! It is that wonderful!! I rarely do reviews and I’m not getting anything for this. I just wanted to say you will be thrilled, it’s in a class of it’s own. Deep and complex

This fragrance was at the top of my wishlist for months, but I'm not a fan of blind buying fragrances - they're so personal - and the pandemic was making it difficult to find a place to test it! A new Sephora opened up around the corner from me, though - just in time for the sale! I was in the store for something else completely and behold, they had exactly one bottle of Dior Addict left and a tester. I tried it and decided immediately that it had to come home with me. It's a strong, complex, mysterious, enigmatic fragrance; on my skin, it's strongly floral, with just the slightest tang of citrus (I'm normally not a person who likes citrus scents, but here it blends nicely with the floral notes). I am so happy to have a bottle of this back in my hands I started wearing this in 2002 when it was originally formulated and released. I bought it without testing it it quickly became my signature scent. It was absolutely in love with it like it was made for me. I received so many compliments every time I wore this. I had more than a few people tell me that they tested the scent after I told them the name and it just didnt smell right on them. That it smelled intoxicating on me and somewhat off on them. My point being, I am so happy with this new formulation. The design is somewhat angelic with wings on the box bottle, with it being named Olympea it is fitting. I also love the touch of rose gold on the bottle being a lover of the recent trend and this is also present on the box packaging. It is a stunning perfume all round and ticks all the boxes, it would also make a lovely gift. I will definitely be repurchasing this little gem once it runs out and cannot wait to see what other fragrances Paco Rabanne will bring out.
