Christian Dior Higher EDT Spray 100ml

My boyfriend has a lot of colognes, he's a colognaholic. However, I always ask him what he's wearing when he is wearing Higher Energy. I had never heard of this one before I met him, since he's bought it abroad. I don't sense any spicy notes, just the first things that jump right at me: lemon, lemongrass and lime. It's a very "green" scent. One lippie off since it is indeed not very unique, many colognes out there play up on the freshness factor, however, it is still a great cologne. One time on a night out, I smelled him and told him that he smelled really nice. This’s one of a few times I have been led me astray. This is beyond disappointing it very upsetting anytime I think about the money spent on this rubbish. This smells nothing worth the price; it smells like strong men soap; actually, the smell reminds me of dial soap brand. The bottle look cheap even the box that it came in was just typical; this was all wrong. I gave it to my mom; she however likes the smell but she complained that it never last.

Timeless perfume, for all time of the year, its beginning could be attractive for the young, although its end, drying or "drydown" is classic. Moderate stela but good length at the skin level. I was pleasantly surprised by Samsara, it's a vintage style powdery resin-amber with some soft sweet peachy fruit and yellow floral nuance on the dry down that is pretty distinctive. I'm sure an older woman in my family used to wear this when I was young back in the 90's because it feels pretty nostalgic to me. I'll keep it in my collection for my op-shop outfit days. If you like bolder scents and have an affinity for vintage aesthetic definitely give Samasra a try.

I will start off by saying, Samsara is a timeless classic that I truly believe has a place in everyone's arsenal of fragrances. Samsara is truly a shining gem. This is the fragrance I pick up when I want to feel otherworldly and put together. The sandalwood truly shines and makes me feel as though I'm glowing from within. This pairs well with all kinds of weather as well. A fantastic all rounder and a contender for a more unique signature fragrance of that's what you seek. The newer bee bottle is actually on par with the vintage bottle in terms of sillage and longevity so there's no need to worry about that. A masterpiece.

Dior Higher

Top notes are Pear, Basil, Lemon and Peach. Mid notes are Cypress, Rosemary, Cardamom and Pepper and Base notes are Musk and Cedar. Its classed as a woody/aromatic/fruity scent but I don't get too much of any of these. All I know is this is a wonderful fresh scent. Most fresh scents are citrus in nature with either bergamot or a heavy orange smell to them, NOT this one. This is absolutely delightful. Like you just got out of the shower kinda fresh. its not over powering but doesnt last too long on the skin, needs re-applying every couple of hours. Perfect for warmer weather as it smells like a warm Summers Day. Great fragrance!!

Fresh and classic fragrance

I absolutely love this fragrance for my husband - as does he. It is quite hard to find so I was thrilled to see John Lewis carrying it. It is very fresh, but not citrus-y, and very masculine. The scent stays for quite a while but isn't over powering. Hard to explain and impossible to forget, I LOVE it!

Weak and not long lasting

I purchased this by accident as I thought that I had ordered DIOR HIGHER ENERGY! I only realised it was the wrong one once my husband had opened and sprayed it. It is a nice smell but very weak and doesn’t last very long therefore I wouldn’t buy it again.
