Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison - 50ml Eau De Parfum Spray

Ok I do really love this. I always seek for the original formula, but unfortunately I shouldn’t have done that with this one. I sprayed it in the store and was hit with a beautiful well-blended jasmine scent that had very long lasting power. But the bottle was boring and I wanted the white cap version, so I got it from a private seller. Unfortunately it has gone slightly off, especially in the top notes like fragrances usually do. I’m hit with alcohol and almost like a sunscreen smell. Im really sad about it because now I don’t want to wear it, and when I do, I get nauseous. I don’t know what to do as I’d really like to have it in my collection, but it’s so expensive to buy new. This is a straight up femme fatale scent. This scent is for a woman who is mysterious, sexy, and leaves a her mark when she’s gone. If the poisoned apple in Cinderella was replaced with a plum it would be this perfume. It’s fruity, musky, and has an wet earthy quality. The berry notes are prominent and mingles magically with the ethereal note of incense. The dry down is my favorite that’s when the cozy warmth of the Amber, and Vanilla kicks in and it starts to get more cozy and sensual This fragrance preforms beautifully in cooler weather. It’s a powerhouse when it comes to longevity and sillage. I get 8-10 hours of wear on my skin, and it’s eternal on clothing until I wash them. This is a classic must have for every fragrance lover. This is still one of the sexiest perfumes I’ve ever smelled. It’s an amazing clean woodsy jasmine. It works any time of year, night or day. The clean, but also woodsy notes make it very versatile. There’s no sweetness to this at all, which I love. It just seems to exude confidence that it doesn’t need sweetness to be sexy, flirty and feminine. This is the first bottle of perfume I fell in love with and saved for. I saved for 6 months before I got my own bottle. Over a decade (almost 2) later and it is still my favorite. I barely wear it bc I associate it with date nights and holiday dinners but I will never be without a bottle. It’s the most stunning fragrance from Dior IMO. And it’s one of the most unique mainstream perfumes on the market.

First time I ever walked into a Sephora I was maybe 20. Maybe a little younger, we didn’t have one in our city. And it was before social media etc. so there wasn’t much word of mouth about it. But it was like walking into a cathedral 😅 I’m not super religious, at least not Bible religious. And Dior’s Hypnotic Poison might have been the first perfume I smelled in there. Because I love the color red. And I loved how it looked like an apple. But I’ve honestly never bought a perfume that was prob over $40. It’s just not in me to do. I’ll clearly buy rollerballs of an expensive bottle I’ll like, but it wasn’t until recently that I saw they had it available. Think I got it from Sephora online. My mom has been spraying this Huda’s sis Kalali or whatever that everybody raved about that I thought smelled godawful. I mean everybody’s nose smells things differently but…anyway. I gave it to my mom thinking maybe she’d wear it once in awhile…didn’t have the heart to tell her that she was killing me every single day she wore it. Until the other day I just had to say something. A little roll will do you w hypnotic poison. It was worth the 20 yr wait.

Dior Hypnotic Poison 100ml - best price EVER!

My all time favourite perfume which I only get for Christmas or my birthday, and I no longer buy it from anywhere else! Chemist Warehouse offer the absolute best price on this very expensive and quality fragrance (gorgeous bottle with the most delicious scent within - not sure what “notes” it contains, but in my opinion I think vanilla is the strongest one of the bunch), yet always package it so well for safe and speedy delivery. Whenever I wear it, Hypnotic Poison always gets a lot of comments on how amazing it smells - and it lasts well into the night after wearing all day! Thank you so much…I’ll be back as soon as I need more…or want to consider another alternative perfume to wear (not that I’ll ever stop my serious obsession with this one)! Definitely powdery smell. It's sweet. I got a compliment my first day wearing it. He said it smelled good and expensive. Before I bought it, other reviews said people always want to know what they're wearing so they can buy for themselves, and this has been the case for me. I Love it, just wished it had staying power like bright Crystal Versace. It seems to soak into the skin so you don't smell it as much as when you first spray it on. 10/10 otherwise. The notes listed on Fragrantica for this fragrance are accurate, & it's what I used when making a decision to buy. More so for date nights. Wouldn't recommend for places you have to move around a lot. Better if you'll be standing still or if you're neck/wrists/arms will be exposed. Highly recommended this fragrance

My absolute favorite

This is my go to perfume right now, I just love it! At first it smells a little like root beer, but in the best way. And when it dries down it's very vanilla. It's light and sweet. "Perfume-y" smelling perfumes (like a department store perfume counter smell) are not my thing, and this is a unique scent that doesn't smell like a typical perfume. My only issue is it doesn't last 😥 With my Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille I spray twice, and with this I spray about 4 times 🤣 hair, neck, wrists. I wish they would come out with an eau de parfum, not toilette, version of this. And I've tried the Dior hypnotic poison EDP that's no longer sold in the US and the scent profile is completely different. I started wearing this in 1998 when it first was launched. I was buying my Chanel 5 and was given a sample card with ot sprayed on it. I stuck it in my phone case and everytime I was on my phone I smelled it and fell in love with it. I wear nothing else. I get at the very least 3 compliments every single time I wear it. Men have writen it down women as well. I have tried others but my children say no way are you wearing anything else because anything else is not thier mom. This is me. So they keep me stocked up. I wish they would have more collections though I notice other colognes have have gift collections but this does not for some reason.al vanilla scent. I will forever write this reviews until they change the formula back to what it use to be. I will never forget what this scent use to do to me and everyone around me. It would stay on forever, even after I washed my clothes and it would take up a whole room just how i love it. They messed this up SO BAD to the point where it does not even last for 3 hours straight. This scent holds SO many memories for me since it was the first ever perfume I had purchased with my own money when I was 15 . Do not waste your money on this. I know I might come off as super dramatic with this review but I'm actually so heartbroken about the fact how much dior ruined this scent.
