XD-I'm not writing home about watching Netflix and YouTube on this Chromebook. The washed out colors make it lackluster, frame rates are frequently dropped, and there was some kind of glitch that caused the video to flicker which made it miserable to use.-The track pad...I don't know what to say. There's just something about it I don't like. Maybe it's the material coating it. Petty, I know, and if that was the only issue I was having, I'd overlook it.Despite how I may have made it sound, this is a good Chromebook, I just don't think it's for me. It costs upwards of $400 (for a poor starving writer, that's a lot of money) and I expected a better screen, but it's being outperformed in almost every way by the Acer Spin 11 I was upgrading from (which you can hopefully see in the comparison photo I added--the Acer is the smaller Chromebook on the left) I will most likely be returning the HP Chromebook and look for something with a screen I don't feel like I'm constantly at odds with.

It crashed 4 days after I bought it so that was a huge disappointment to start. I was able to get up and running again after watching YouTube. I'm use to Windows so now using Chromebook it has been a big adjustment for me. Then you have to add extensions for just about everything you want or need......which is a pain and annoying to me. The camera is NO GOOD it's super low quality but the microphone is very sensitive and sounds good/clear on playback. Many of the programs dont fit the screen correctly when flipped to tablet mode. The purchase was rushed for this distant learning for my son due to the COVID-19 so would I buy it again? NO! Which is sad because I really like HP products. My daughter loves her computer. She says it is fast and the ability to convert to from a laptop to tablet is great! I’m actually happy with the value of this computer. I made sure to option for the Pentium processor instead of the Celeron although I had to wait to have it delivered at the store. I think it was worth the wait. The appearance of the computer is really nice I would recommend getting a cover right away. This is not a gaming computer or anything like that but for an elementary school kid this is plenty. They can access google docs, slides, and practice their typing skills. I would recommend this over a tablet.

I purchased this to support my college’s students (I am Director of Online Learning at my college). I’m used to working on high end PC’s and MacBooks. Our college deployed Chromebooks to our students. This is a bit higher end. It’s really not too bad. The touch screen is nice. I loaded a 256GB stick in it. If I need to grab something quick or test out our Lock Down Browser. The monitor isn’t bad. The keyboard is Ok. $400 bucks for a Chromebook is a bit high, but I can’t complain. You won’t be disappointed.
ok so when I first turned it on it had some Chrome OS error and I had to watch YouTube to Reset this thingafter that it Booted up with no issuesIts good for the price.. I been using a Ipad for quite some time so have to get used to Laptops again 😬the picture could be lil better but that's on the $$ to upgrade so its fine . Loads pretty fast

This is going to replace an older Windows 10 desktop device used by my elderly father-in-law who's been the target of social engineering hackers 3 times over the past 9 months. IMO Chromebooks and ChromeOS is the very best way to begin to eliminate this problem.This device is perfect for him as 99% of his computer use is reading/responding to email and browsing the Web. Device startup is almost instantaneous, battery life is adequate for his use. We also moved him from an @comcast.net email account to a @gmail.com account which dramatically reduced the amount of spam he was receiving. This is my first Google laptop so it's idiosyncrasies was something to get accustomed to, but it's amazing! It's as fast as any work supplied laptop I've used in the past and the touch screen option is fantastic. You can easily turn it into a tablet and it's still slim! I wish it had more than one USB port but I just ordered an extender and that works fine. The screen could be brighter, especially in a well lit room/ office, but it's a small issue that I can get over. Do not hesitate to buy this. You'll love it. Now, if only it came in rose gold, all would be perfect!

I went to the HP site to register the chromebook and it said the warranty had expired. I finally got an answer from HP as to why it says that. They said the warranty had been activated before. In other words the chromebook had been sold before and was refurbished. No where on the walmart.com site was this chromebook identified as refurbished. No where on the box was this chromebook identified as refurbished. I thought I was buying a brand new, never before used chrombook.
