It's Brilliant. It sends the ball much farther than the smaller old ball thrower we had. You had to use that over arm which is more tiring on you. Well made , so easy to use. It goes so far with an underarm movement. I bought the whistling balls and these go better than the tennis ball one. They also have holes in them which is good as the dog can breathe through them. It is good fun and wears the dog out in about 30 minutes of chucking the ball. Worth the extra money

I was skeptical because I can throw a ball. But there is something about the ChuckIt that my dog likes.. I think it's the big arc. And my arm is good for several dozen good throws, but with the chuckit, the dog tires before I do. Also, it is far more consistent aim and distance than my own arm.There are several sizes to choose from, however I only recommend the 2.5" (tennis ball sized). The included chuckit ball is low quality. My dog had it destroyed in uner 15 minutes. But the other balls are sturdy and will last. Be sure to buy one of the others. Plus this one takes standard tennis and lacrosse balls.I had a 3" one, and the 2.5" throws just a little farther.

I wouldn't use any other launcher. The cheap ones are just too flexible. This one is fairly rigid and you can really launch the ball with very little effort. The ball that comes with it is genuinely very tough and lasts well, unlike those supplied with cheap launchers.

These work great for throwing the chuck it Ultra balls when playing fetch with your dog! Don't buy the generic ones they break very easily and don't last. The ones made for the chuck it balls haven't broken in about 6 months of use, The generic ones didn't last a month before the ends broke off of them and they aren't that much cheaper either! So spend the extra couple of buck snf get the real thing not the generic ones!
We bought this for our Hungarian Vizsla and we literally use it every day! Great to use on a hill and throw the ball long distances to tire him out and use up all his energy. It is good quality and if you lose the ball like we did, you can use it with a regular good quality tennis ball from kmart.
Disappointed it came with tennis-ball ball -thought it came with the rubber one. I went out to buy some which are great, bouncy, chewy, very hard wearing. The launcher is a very tight fit, requiring an energetic flick to release the ball. I suppose that uses a different set of muscles from throwing. Ball doesn't go far and the curve of the handle directs it to the ground very quickly. I shall persevere!
This product and the Chuck-It orange rubber balls are the best products ever. they are tough and allow for hours of play. my pup (a 3 year old boxer/pointer mix) loves the orange chuck it balls. She loves them so much that she snubs all other balls. The large ball and launcher are best for her (she is 70lbs). She loves to fetch and the launcher allows for extreme distance without applying much effort plus i dont have to touch the slobber ball! LOVE THIS PRODUCT
My previous Chuckit Launcher was the model down from this one and was fine until it encountered a Lhasa Apso puppy who proceeded to gnaw on the launcher cup, my fault for leaving it momentarily unattended and at the mercy of puppy teeth! This one is even better than my other one and came with a Chuckit Ultra Ball which itself is also far superior, however, as with anything dog related, is not Puppy-Proof
I have had my launcher for about 3 weeks. I have a two year old, very active, German Shepherd mix who loves to play fetch. I have a large back yard. I am 75 years old and "chucking" the ball to the back fence was very difficult for me. Now, clear to the back fence it goes....and my arm doesn't get tired. What a happy dog I have!
We have a Chuckit Sport Launcher and this one; you'd be surprised what a difference that extra grip makes. Would highly recommend purchasing a longer handle as you don't need to be bend over or crouch as much to pick up the ball and these also fit medium Chuckit Fetch balls.
