my 2 aussies love this toy. They are both active swimmers and look forward to going to the storage shed and getting the toy when we are at the pond. It floats great. We used one toy for the entirety of last summer. Which is not a complaint all toys must come to an end and this toy provided a lot of stimulation for our dogs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. great job Chuckit!

We love these! My dogs will swim after these all day! I want to preface with I only allow my dogs to fetch them because it’s a floating toy and is not meant to be chewed. It would not last long if it were left to be chewed. With that said, I had my first one for 3 years before the stitching finally started to come undone and we use it at least once to twice a week. They hold up great for fetch!

We own a multitude of Chuck-It toys (Ultra Ring, Flying Squirrel, Rugged Flyer, Air Fetch Stick, Tumble Bumper and just about every ball). Everything has been great until now. I bought this on 9/14 for swimming in Lake Michigan. Sadly, after only 5 visits to the beach, it's falling apart. Both ends are coming unstitched. The thread used is obviously too thin and weak. For the price, this should last longer. Hopefully, I can stitch it back together with an upholstery needle.

Love this bumper. It’s really visible and floats high on the water making it easy to find even in choppy water. I was afraid because it was foam I wasn’t going to be able to throw it very far but the material is dense and the rope makes it easy to get some distance on it. I saw some reviews complaining that it doesn’t hold up to chewing. I have no doubt that if I gave my young Brittany this bumper to play with in the house he’d destroy it in a New York minute but I’m pretty sure that’s not what it was designed for. For play time in the lake, river or pool it can’t be beat.

On days that we don’t hunt birds, we walk for 3-4 miles on gravel roads in all four seasons. While I walk, I throw a bumper for her at least 75 times per walk. The bumper gets used very hard. I have tried a lot of bumpers and none have lasted more than a few days except the Chuckit! Alas, even the Chuckit! fails after a few weeks at its sewn seams. No problem though, a few wraps of colorful duct tape and the bumper holds together for several more months. If you have a water dog like my Golden, this is a great toy. She gets excited by toys but nothing compares to this water toy. My dog isn't a chewer.She doesn't chew the foam middle or rubber ends but if I leave the rope in a knot she wants to chew on that for some reason. I just cut off the knot, melted the end with a lighter and she leaves it alone. Great toy for water fetching.
This was a big disappointment! My dog loves to fetch so thought this would be really fun for the beach. Within 10 days the seams on the cover were splitting the foam and the top popped off. My lab LOVES this toy. Sadly they don't last very long. He has gone through 4 of them in under a year for various reasons. Either the stitching comes apart on the middle cover section or the end caps come off. One of them we just used duck tape to wrap the entire toy so he could still play with it. I wound up sewing blue jean material around another one to keep it in use. He only plays with this when he is outside playing fetch. None of them were torn up from excessive chewing type damage it was all simply they fell apart. I just wish it was made better so that it would last longer. :(

They are quite light, dry quickly, and are more enticing to the dogs(both retriever breeds) than plastic bumpers because they are soft and easy to grip in the water. I find them way easier to throw far than tennis balls because of the attached string. I have found that they hold up very well however, they are not a chew or tug toy. My dogs chase them, bring them back, and then drop them at my feet. I wouldnt recommend it for dogs that are much more destructive than that or do not follow direction, because they could be destroyed in seconds. I like the orange color best because it seems easier to see in the water once the color starts fading. My dog really loved this toy- briefly. I say that because the stitching between the blue and orange parts came apart really fast and he just ripped it up. I love that it floated as he's a big water dog, but when playing fetch, even before i can get it away from him, he just easily pulled it apart. The foam inside is quickly exposed and not really good to keep playing with since he just tears chunks off it as soon as fetching. if you have a dog that NEVER tried to tug on it, you will probably be ok.
