I had not bought new foundation for over a decade. I went into Myer with no idea of what I was looking for and no brand preference. The staff member directed me to the Clarins counter and we tested a few shades. We found one that suited my skin and a purchase was made. As we age, we need to invest in our skin, but this bottle was not overly expensive and it lasted me a year. I wear make up 2-3 days per week. Would recommend to others but take the time to find the right shade for you.

I have many pricy foundations and nothings works for me. The only one works for me is the MAC foundation but it oxidize like crazy and makes my skin break out. This has good coverage, doesn't oxidize, doesn't make my skin breakout. I have many acne scars and it covers all. And it looks like you have no makeup on but makes your skin looks amazing. It has a semi-Matt finish. Easy to apply. One pump and blend with a sponge that's all you need. Very very happy purchase. My skin is sensitive combination acne prone skin

The skin illusion velvet doesn't last very long and doesn't provide coverage. It is light and looks nice for a little while only. I've been a loyal Clarins customer for many years and the last two to three years, I'm very disappointed with the foundations. The new foundations can't be compared to what you had two to three years ago. After a lot of research, I've found another brand. I just thought to try the new skin illusions, but ended up disappointed again.

A fantastic foundation, great coverage, light texture for a natural look, plenty of foundation colour choices which is great. I like that clarins has a more honey yellow tones rather than pink gives a more natural glow and appearance. I’ve been using clarins for over 20 years & I love the quality, fragrance free and their products work well for my sensitive skin.
I absolutely love this foundation. This blurs imperfections on my face and gives me a flawless beautiful finish. It’s super flattering and lightweight to wear. I only need a few drops which I blend with my fingers and it evens out my skin tone, gives me a nice natural matte finish and controls shine. It’s quite hydrating and never goes cakey, it’s not thick and ageing like some foundations , I love that it’s light as I find that is more flattering as I age. It’s great value at under $55.00 because it lasts for ages. I will be buying the clarins skin illusion velvet again, absolutely beautiful

I went to David johns to try out some foundation and I really like this Clarins foundation. The price is reasonable and it effectively covers all my uneven areas. It gives me a flawless effect. It’s not too cakey and it lasts over 6 hours. I love how light it feels on my skin but yet giving me the perfect amount of coverage. The only thing is I wish they had more yellow undertone range so I can get the ideal shade for my skin. If they bring in more shades for yellow undertone this would be my favourite foundation ever
Love it, best foundation I have used. It goes on evenly and stays put all day. No more smudges on clothes or mobile phone screen. It is a light natural finish that doesn't dry my skin

I have both Skin Illusion Velvet and Skin Illusion SPF 15. I use the Velvet version when pairing with day cream that has SPF, and the SPF version when pairing with day cream that's without. I find both textures to be comfortable to wear. Absolutely the best light foundation ever!
