Having bought a new Zipcore iron set, these wedges were added to give a full spread from PW to LW and to match my new irons. The clubs perform great, any issues are past the shaft end of the club and not with the club its-self. Feel is good, distance control and separation between my 4 lofts of 48, 52, 56 and 60 degrees are perfect. Very please and

I play the CBX 2 52° and I love it. But since that model, these wedges have been getting heavier and heavier and the leading "edge" has gotten ridiculously round. I see why this might high handicaps, but the leading edge in the CBX 4 is practically unplayable. The CBX and CBX 2 had the V-Sole, which I love. But in this latest model they've added another surface under the leading edge, creating a sort of double V-sole (I guess that's a W-Sole). The problem with this is that it lifts the leading edge even FURTHER off the ground - for a wedge that already has an enormous sole. So you can't even play shots properly with the face square, at least not without moving your hands way forward and manipulating it - which defeats the whole purpose of the easy-to-use wedge. I appreciate that I am not really the target buyer for this club, but the CBX 2 is a near-perfect design. All the forgiveness and consistency on full shots, but you could play plenty of different shots around the greens with it around the greens, from a lot of lies. This latest iteration seems to be designed solely to hit full or nearly full shots to a green from pretty lush conditions or rough. And they're heavy. Every one I've tried has been at least 3 swing weights heavier than my CBX at the same length with the same DG 115 shaft. I could see a 60° wedge feeling a little heavy - but not a 52°.On the positive side, it's great for full shots and long pitches from soft conditions - it hits the same consistent flight window as all the CBX wedges do that I've played - and distance control is just a breeze with these wedges. It feels good, and I like the design of the back.Get that leading edge back hugging the ground a little more on the next model and lighten it up, so I can get some new wedges - I'm wearing out the grooves on my CBX 2s!

This wedge is a sleeper pick for many, but should be at the top of everyone's list to at least demo. Its versatility is remarkable. Tight lie on the fairway? Check. Heavy rough and you just need to gouge it out, but still retain some spin? Check. Greenside bunker, shortsided? No problem. This wedge is a cheat code!

I am a mid handicap golfer who can play “well” and over the year have always used a Vokey or Cleveland traditional blade for wedges. If I am in a stretch where I can play more and my handicap is lower, that’s fine, but these cavity wedges are so much more forgiving. They give me the confidence for those tricky 40-50 yards partial shots. Unless I magically get more time and drop back below a 10 handicap, I see absolutely no reason to not have a comfort wedge in my hand versus a temperamental tour wedge. The only caveat I will give is that I play in the South where it is wet and soft. I am not sure you would see as big of a forgiveness difference in the West.
Look, I'm a weekend golfer. I'm 36 and I've played since I was in high school. I'm nowhere near scratch and it's been hard on my ego to get rid of blades this year and since that's done wonders to my score I thought well, lets toss my tour wedges in the garage and gives these a go. I have no idea how I lasted this long without having these in the bag. There's no offset, they're slightly larger than your typical tour wedges but hardly noticeable. These things BITE BITE BITE hard. so the added forgiveness combined with how much these spin is such an amazing combo, I can't even explain to you how this has helped my game. I would recommend these 100X over. If your short game is lacking in ANY department, these need to go in your bag. I've had the callaway CB wedges as ... MoreLook, I'm a weekend golfer. I have been using Cleveland wedges for about 35 years. I have never really even thought about using a different brand wedge. I ordered my first ever 60 degree Cleveland wedge with 0 bounce for tight shots and flop shots.Several years ago when the CBX first came out, the 60 degree wedge came standard with 10 degrees of bounce. I loved the concept but I was concerned I would blade it. It ended up being everything Cleveland Golf had promised and more and I loved it.Since I almost always use my 60 degree around the greens and I practice with it very frequently, I started getting in the habit of replacing it every year because the grooves do start to wear down. This year, the CBX 4 came with 12 degrees of bounce. Again, I was concerned about the bounce and again, I have been pleasantly surprised. One specific example is hitting up hill pitches into Bermuda grass grain. Even with the old CBX, those shots can be very challenging. It's day one with the CBX 4 and I noticed an immediate improvement. The club really shots seemed to do a much better job of gliding through even against the grain. Still a challenging shot but significantly easier to tackle.I highly recommend the Cleveland CBX 4.Note: the standard grip is fine but I prefer a Winn Dri-Tac midsize grip. Thus, my "con" regarding the Cleveland grip. It's personal preference for sure.Get a CBX 4! I would be surprised if you don't love it!
Purchased these in place of the RTX6. Love the look at address and they have a great feel on well, and not so well struck shots. I got a 48, 54, and 58, and they are all quite versatile with shots from the fairway, rough, sand, and around the green. I thought they may be too bulky at first with the cavity back but I was wrong. This is a solid wedge design that I would certainly recommend.
The CBX4 replaced my older CBX wedge which I simply wore out. This model is much better. On short shots with clean lies the ball pops up and lands softly with little runout. On longer shots it hits and bites quickly. What is most impressive however is how it plays from the 1 to 2 inch fescue that surrounds the greens at my home course. The club glides through the taller grass with ease offering you excellent feel and controllability. Flop shots are almost easy. It has impressive stopping power even when the grass is wet.
I really don't know how it works, but I've never hit a wedge so cleanly, so consistently. Out of the rough? No problem. Cuts right through. Tight lie in the fairway? Get ready to clip it tight. Bunker? Just swing and let the club take care of the rest. It has the same, easy-to-use performance in every condition. I am really impressed with this wedge and cannot recommend it highly enough.
I am a 6 handicap but I play in both tight lies and very fluffy lies. The wide sole and bounce on these clubs help on the tight lies. The larger face helps on fluffy lies. Exceptional accuracy and forgiveness on the 80-110 yard ranges. Bought a second set for my vacation home. 54 and 58 degrees is what I bought. Up and down 5 of seven first time out.
