I used these for the first time ever and I am never going back to another gel or bean. It supplied me with the correct amount of sugars to keep me going until my next block at the next mile. I only needed have my pack (3 chew blocks) for my run. I was able to easily have the open pack in my pocket for easy feeding while running but I opted to take them out and have them in my water bottle pouch and they were just as easy to access! No stomach upset No weird mount feel Just amazing flavor and great texture and no caffeine needed. Pure love!

Black Cherry Clif Blocks are my favourite long run fuel. Sugar and caffeine; what's not to like. Non-sticky and easy to pop in my mouth, I let them dissolve slowly and feel my pep and motivation return. Honestly, I think they are what got me through a very wet 54 km event recently when everything else turned my stomach. An integral part of my long run nutrition!.And thumbs up to Sports Fuel - great service and such fast service. I don't know how they do it.

My 10 year old son bought the black Cherry ones of these ....and ate several and got sick. He thought they were just lollies. I can't believe rebel sport let him buy these . Disappointed in rebel sport . Surely these would have same rules as sale of energy drinks. Appreciate money back ifi return what is left.

I never really liked the texture of gels even though I found a good flavor. These Clif Energy Bloks are awesome! I decided to chew 2 bloks every 20 minutes (instead of 6 every hour). And, I alternated the Black Cherry with caffeine with the salted watermelon with 2X sodium. I'm 63, and ran 17.5 miles at an 8:15 pace and felt like I could have gone much longer. And, I felt way better after finishing, and the next day, than I normally do after a long run. I'm never going back to gels. These are a game-changer for me!
We’ve used Clif Bloks a lot over a number of years. Love them, especially the Citrus (Lemon/Lime) and Orange flavours. Ordered the Orange which were in stock according to the website but then got an email about five days later saying they were out of stock and would I like to order something else. The Black Cherry was the only thing left that was remotely appealing. We’d not had them before and found them so-so in terms of flavour.
I was training for the wine country century with friends and in the middle of our 40+ mile hikes I would have 1/2 a chew and would get a great mental boost and a bit of a high. Definitely enhances cycling. I'm very caffeine sensitive (coffee usually makes me nauseous) so I usually did 1/2 or 1/4 and it didn't make me nauseous. I suppose I could eat 1/4 of the blocks even more caffeine and that would be even more price efficient. Would totally recommend for any long ride; game changer to have a reliable pick me up. A lot of bang for your buck. Would bring other food / non-caffeinated chews to have along these. I like cherry and these tasted good. I'm not sure why one would eat non-caffeinated chews if you could have these.
When the weather turns hot and humid, sometimes you do not feel like guzzling any kind of fluids. Clif Bloks energy chews, margarita flavor are the perfect addition to any ride. The chews provide instant energy, provide sodium to alleviate salt loss through sweating , and trigger a thirst demand. Not too sweet or salty - perfect just like drink it is named after.
I cannot hike or bike unless I have a Blok! I'm addicted. I only need one Blok to go many miles. I will die if they're ever discontinued. I discovered them by accident. One of your reps gave a box to the owner of the sports shop where I worked in Aspen. (2011 or 12). He promptly tossed them into the trash. And I took them out and never looked back! They are getting hard to find in stores. Please, Clif, keep making these. Thanks for many years of good energy. I also love Clif Bars. Amazing energy bars!
I'm a blooming mountaineer, and as I've been doing longer and more mentally/physically involved treks, I definitely noticed that I wasn't getting the nutrients that I need during, so I started looking around at different energy chews to try. To be completely fair, I thought that these would be bogus, but I was pleasantly surprised! These gave me a good amount of energy throughout my trips without keeping me from being able to sleep/think clearly/function normally like other caffeine products might. I am a lightweight and don't take more caffeine than is in a cup of black or white tea, so I took these as needed, rather than per hour as the package suggests, and that worked fine for me. I am a lightweight and don't take more caffeine than is in a cup of black or white tea, so I took these as needed, rather than per hour as the package suggests, and that worked fine for me. They helped my body warm up in the cold, helped give me a steady release of energy, and also noticeably aided my body's recovery (less muscle/joint aches, less sore and sensitive lungs from altitude differences). My only warnings are these: I noticed a bit of muscle burning (but not enough to be a concern and did not inhibit my activity at all) due to the potassium content. Also, immediately after eating a chew during the break, I would get a bit nervous in between taking the chew and moving again. So if you're susceptible or concerned about either of those things, there they are. Another thing: these things definitely froze when I put them in my pack, so I now keep them in my fleece layer pocket, so keep that in mind if you're gonna be in the cold! Otherwise, they are pretty great and I definitely use them and all my long ventures!
I got the salted watermelon ones. On the one hand all of the flavors are weird and gummy. On the other hand, I strongly believe that they are useful to mitigate heat stress in hot weather so I like to have them (or other energy chews) in my pack. The gel cubes are easy to eat and fast-acting. They are not as bad as those really awful gel squeeze packs.
