This is for people looking for a "true" clean out the pores mask. I no longer have oily skin in my older years but still have some problem areas, particularly the entire nose area. I put this mask all over my face including the jawline but avoided the neck area. This gave a very deep purification without irritating my skin in the least. Just one warning: use a dark washcloth if you use one. I used a lighter colored one and it got permanently stained. This mask is the real deal. Another hit by Clinique.

This charcoal mask is nothing like the discontinued pore refining solutions version!!! I have sensitive skin with broken capillaries on my cheeks (not rosacea from a car accident) that become extremely visible and angry after using this 2-in-1 mask. Please, please, please bring back the pore refining solutions charcoal mask!!!!

Think about it for a second. Why would a brand have two products called "2 in 1 charcoal mask + scrub". If you bought this thinking it was different than the City Block mask; that's on you!!! Like cmon use your brain. It has the same ingredients, they just rebranded it. As far as the mask, it's amazing. Pulls everything out of my pores without being too intense or drying. The built in scrub makes sure you get everything off and it isn't hard to wash off like many other clay masks. Ive bought this so many times and will continue to do so.

Great product! It's easy to remove (just water will do), and it doesn't leave my sink or bathtub black. I would only use enough to go on whatever area you're applying it to. I generally put enough moisturizer on my fingers to do my whole face, but the mask will dry out if you don't apply it quickly. I use it weekly, sometimes on my whole face and sometimes just in my T-zone. I've used Clinique products for over 10 years and am just starting to buy for myself, and this is another product I love.
I needed a new mask to replace one that was discontinued and decided to give this one a try. I use it once a week with great results! I like to put it on and then jump in the shower to shave my legs while it dries. Then I apply water and use as a gentle scrub before I rinse it off with my facecloth. It helps with blackheads and large pores. I highly recommend!
I had to quit using Origins Charcoal Mask since I'm allergic to Propylene Glycol ingredient in it. Had patch test at derm doctor. This really cleans my face especially nose. Glad it doesn't have a scent perfume. I'm dry but blackheads on nose are deep. Have trouble with tight pores.
I've been using Clinique products for years, and nothing truly helped my oily skin long. However this stuff is a miracle worker. I used it has a mask and left it on for about 10-15 mins, then wash it off. Came off very easy with water. 24 hours later and my skin didn't get oily, very surprised! Love anything about it and will continue to use this weekly. I will say that directly after, my skin did look a little dull but after I moisturized my skin was fine. But I took a star off for it. Thankfully the dullness didn't come back the next day. Finally something that works and controls my oily skin.

So I am wondering if they've remarketed and labeled to show no fragrance and stating all about clean ingredients. The previous product worked well to detoxify and minimize my pores without being too harsh, causing additional trauma to my skin, or increasing redness. This new product is a physical exfoliant which means the gritty pieces scratched my skin and exacerbated my rosacea.
