Hands down my favorite go to cleanser! I use the TTDO balm as my first cleanse with makeup and use this (1,2 formula) as my second cleanse. It is so creamy and luxurious feeling. No suds or foaming at all which I love for my dry skin. My skin never feels stripped after this. Just soft. When I'm not wearing makeup I use this as my only cleanse to simply take the dirt and sunscreen off. This is definitely a staple in my skincare routine!

I bought this product in hope of finding a cleanser that didn't leave my skin dry or irritated but could still remove my daily spf. The retail worker in the store assured me it would remove any makeup or spf at the end of the day. I used it a couple of times and noticed my skin still felt greasy, not knowing if it was still my spf on my face or a residue from the cleanser, I pushed my concern aside and used it again the next night, wanting to trust in the recommendation I received from the staff member. Unfortunately the day after the second use I could see so much congestion in my skin as well as redness and some irritation due to product that had been left on my skin. Wanted to love this but unfortunately I can't really use it knowing the effect it had on my skin ... MoreI bought this product in hope of finding a cleanser that didn't leave my skin dry or irritated but could still remove my daily spf. I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed with a cleanser before. It specifically advertises that it removes makeup, yet after 4-5 washes I still have lots of residue of foundation and eye makeup on my face. I’ve gone through almost 1/4 of a bottle because of this and I’ve only used it twice. Has quite a waxy texture so it more smears your makeup all over your face rather than actually removing anything, instructions say to use just massage onto your face and rinse off but a wash cloth is definitely necessary to properly get the product off. It also has somewhat of a sunscreen smell. The only positive is that it does leave the skin feeling nice. Honestly don’t bother wasting your money on this, there are much better cleansers out there.

This stuff is absolute garbage. Complete waste of money. It does NOT remove makeup at all. After washing my face with it twice, I was left with makeup still all over my face. I don't even wear heavy makeup; no liquid foundation, eyeliner, or waterproof mascara (I wear non-waterproof). It couldn't even remove my powder, much less anything else. Clinique should be ashamed of itself. I don't know how anyone at that company could possibly use this product and actually think it works. It you go ahead and try it for yourself, just be sure to use a cotton ball with some toner afterwards, and you'll see just how much makeup is still left on your face. At least Ulta has a great return policy.
As a lifelong Clinique skin type 2, I purchased the 1 & 2 formula with the purple lid. I wouldn't call it a milk but a cream. It does a fantastic job at removing light makeup and sunscreen. If you prefer a sudsy experience you might not like this. I apply a dab the size of a quarter, massage into skin, and then use a warm, wet cloth to remove all traces of cream. I found that using just a warm water rinse left too much of a film. I didn't like this cleanser as an eye makeup remover, but I have TTDO Balm for that job. For my everyday, work-at-home face, this cream cleanser works great, leaving my face completely nourished, never stripped, even if I follow the wash with the 1.0 Clarifying Lotion.
This is an amazing product IF you use it right. I slather it on my face and wipe it off with a clean warm wet rag, including my eyes. It wipes absolutely everything off with no dryness. Then, I use my 1.0 alcohol free toner and my skin is ready for my treatments. If you like the sudsy experience this is not for you, but if you skin is dry and sensitive, you'll love it. In fact, changing your cleansing method from water activated face wash to cream cleanser will change the state of your skin (I was taught this by a very good esthetician), and she was absolutely right. I don't think people use this product properly based on reviews, so here's my two cents!
I've read a lot of reviews and see that many say this product does not work. I use this product every day with a silicone facial scrubber and this takes everything off of my face! After cleansing my face with this product, I wipe my face with a white facial cleansing pad with a small amount of the clinique clarifying lotion #2, and absolutely NO dirt/makeup comes off of my face - as if it's been perfectly cleansed with the facial soap. The pad looks bright white as if it's brand new when I'm finished. I will never use another facial cleanser as long as I live. Very good for sensitive or dry skin! Pair this with the Clinique moisture surge hydrator - your skin will be extremely smooth and hydrated!
I was recommended this for combination oily skin and to remove makeup. I find it a hard product to lather and there is not much room for movement around the face, even when I use amount of 20c coin piece which means you use a lot of it. It's expensive too ! Also dried out my skin. After using all that product there is still makeup left afterwards when I used the toner with a cotton pad (I only wear powder). Pretty annoying when it's such an expensive product. I get much better results with my Qv face wash in regards to makeup removal and hydration and it only costs me 19 dollars for 500 ml.
What a great idea but dissapointing result. As a clinique user for many years I was excited to try a new system of all in one make up removing and cleansing. I always get 'told off' by my mum for not removing my makeup so thought this would be a winner. The milk seems to do next to nothing. When I apply it as directed, to dry skin it doesn't lather or go slick or oily, and it seems to make a paste from my makeup and mascara. After rinsing with any temperature water (I've tried everything I can think of!) I still have a goopy residue of schmeared mascara and concealer /foundation on my skin. So much so that if I even run my fingernails lightly over my face, makeup is caked underneath.I wear very little makeup, usually mascara, blush and concealer and have no idea ... MoreWhat a great idea but dissapointing result. Since the eye makeup remover lotion was reformulated a very long time ago, I stopped being able to use it.The new ( early 2000's)version burned my eyes, so did Cetaphil cleanser, so you understand how sensitive I am! At that time, I had been using the Comforting Cream Cleanser to take off my face makeup. I then realized that it also made an amazing eye makeup remover, even better than the lotion specifically for eyes, and Cetaphil, because it lifted off waterproof mascara and everything else when just massaged into the eyes and then removed with a wet cotton ball, and the face was tissued off and then gone over with the Mild Clarifying Lotion (only one that was alcohol free and tolerated by my skin, and also discontinued for quite awhile!!). So when I saw this released, I was sure that it was finally the replacement for the long gone Comforting Cream Cleanser. I bought it immediately! Even in the extra mild version, it burned my eyes and didn't remove makeup nearly as well as my old favorite! I know that I am unusually sensitive, but there must be products on the market, especially by Clinique, which was my mother's go to brand, and I was introduced to it when there were virtually no other fragrance free products on the market! News of a bonus week was like a holiday for me! Today there are many FF and "clean" products available across all price categories. However, I still have not been able to find a cream cleanser that removes all makeup without causing irritation or a greasy residue in my eyes (Take the Day Off Balm, I am talking to you!). If anyone knows of any dupes for the Cleanser or Mild Clarifying Lotion, Clinique reps or fellow consumers, the info would be greatly appreciated.
