I’ve struggled trying to find a great face wash! I’ve had acne problems for years and after 2-3 years of searching for a face wash to serve my sensitive skin I FINALLY came across Clinique for Men charcoal face wash! Within a month my skin has cleared up to almost near amazing! So if you have sensitive skin I advise you to go give this a try!

City Block/ Charcoal Face Wash

So, ever since I've been running out of the City Block Charcoal Cleansing Gel, which I've been using for almost a year and half; and I couldn't find it anywhere in stores. It seems clinique has changed/repackaged? a few things recently, a few which where things I used. I kept looking until I went to a clinique specific boutique at The Bay and they told me that THIS charcoal face wash IS the previously known city block I was looking for, just repackaged. I read the ingredients, they're exactly the same. The Butylene Glycol is like 2 ingredients down where it was..but I think the effect is miniscule. Every other ingredient is there, exactly in the same order. I just wanted to put it out there, if anyone will read this :)

Clinique Exfoliating Scrub Missing You......

This has been my go to since the Exfoliating Scrub for women was formula changed. Neither one alone gives me the good scrub that I am looking for with my oily skin. I know using both will be short lived...too expensive and takes up 2 spaces in my make up bag. Please, please, please return to your original formula for Clinique Exfoliating Scrub. My skin deserves and misses it something fierce!

Foams up like a dream!

I received a small travel size of this in one of the gift sets that I bought. I tried it and to my surprises it was amazing stuff. It foams up better than any of the other cleansers (and I like the other cleansers). It's very calming and moisturizes without leaving a film or oily residue behind. It really does help to remove excess oil without stripping skin. I think this could be my winter cleanser, as I get drier then and need something gentle but effective without being too emollient.

Gives a deep-down clean

The Clinique For Men™ Charcoal Face Wash has become part of my daily skin-care routine. It leaves my skin thoroughly clean, and feeling healthy and supple. It's great to use before applying Clinique For Men™ Anti-Age Moisturizer and Clinique for Men™ Anti-Age Eye Cream. I recommend this product.

Good cleanser

I bought this for my husband. He's very happy with it. I tried it myself and like it too. It is not drying and leaves my face feeling clean, soft and smooth. My husband was worried the charcoal colour would stain his white face cloth but it loses most of it's colour when lathered and rinses away well. I think this will be keeper.

Mix & Match

I use the oily skin face wash and alternate with this charcoal cleanser so as to keep my skin on its toes. I do this as after using other brand's products for a while they seem to become less effective. And so far so good: oiliness is reduced and skin generally improved after following the 3-step cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise routine. Just be careful to thoroughly rinse after using this charcoal face wash - more so if using in the shower and you don't have a mirror to hand - especially if you have light-coloured flannels/face cloths and/or towels as it literally is a black gel.

So glad I switched

I was advised to buy this charcoal face wash by the Clinique consultant. As they didn't have any of the regular face wash in stock at my local Boots store. I wasn't sure at first as I've used the regular strength face wash for years and the soap before that. But I'm so glad I did, it's fantastic. Easily the best face wash I've ever used from Clinique. My skin glows after using it and it feels so clean, but not stripped or dry. I hope Clinique are going to keep this in the line up of men's products as it's my new favourite and I will definitely buy this charcoal face wash again.

Truly Perfect

Me:I get razor bumps/folliculitis when I shave and blemishes all over. When I follow the 3-step properly I have zero blemishes on my forehead or nose. They are so finely ground this gel feels as smooth and silky as anything youÕve ever tried. It lathers well and turns into a white foam. ItÕs kind of cool to watch Ð how DOES it go from black to white?? When it washes off it feels as though you skin is perfect Ð like silicone rubber. Because Clinique products are unscented this doesnÕt have a Ôsmell.Õ But what it does have is so fresh and clean. I use a Clarisonic brush with this and because this isnÕt an exfoliator, it can be used twice daily if you want. My pores have disappeared as the charcoal draws out all the gunk from everywhere on your face. A previous reviewer claimed it didnÕt control oil. But itÕs the follow up products that aid in oil control. I use the oil-control exfoliating tonic and the oil-control mattifying moisturizer. At about lunch time IÕll have a little shine around my nose, but nothing IÕm ever concerned about.Verdict:Although IÕm always open to trying new products, I have doubts than any product will rival this for a long time. ItÕs difficult for me to explain how much I truly love this product. You owe it yourself to try this product.
