Colavita Premium Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 17 Fluid Ounce comes in a glass bottle. It is first cold pressed and 100% certified Italian. The olive oil that I normally use comes in a plastic bottle, is first cold pressed, and makes no claim about being 100% Italian. Comparing the two there really isn't much of a difference in taste. My dad noticed no difference, I thought Colavita was stronger, and my mom thought our regular brand was stronger. So really, I will save my money and keep buying my regular olive oil. This premium 100% Italian oil would be good is you are a label snob or if you keep the bottle on display. I keep mine in a cabinet, so I don't need anything fancy-looking as long as it tastes good. Love it! I love extra virgin olive oil and like using it as a replacement of butter or Mayo. Colavitas premium selection has been awarded with the quality seal from the North American Olive Oil Association due to its purity and quality, but Im sure also because of its taste. This olive oil is imported to the United States from Italy but also contains oil from olives of neighboring countries. The price for this size bottle is from $7 , however there are different sizes available. I would totally recommend it as the flavor profile is so nice and subtle and wont take away from other ingredients.

Best evoo

This evoo has a great, slightly fruity nutty flavor. We used it first to make pizza - delish!! Then we made blueberry muffins and I must say I have never had such a delicious muffin in my life! I did a little research and found that Business Insider has named Colavita Premium Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil the best extra virgin olive oil to cook with. It can also help improve cholesterol levels and prevent insulin resistance, which is a precursor to diabetes. It's also a wonderful moisturizer. It's certified 100% pure Italian, so you know this is the real deal. I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion and I will definitely buy this and recommend to friends and family.

Colavita Extra Virgin Oiive Pil

I got this Olive oil from a free sample program.What I loved about Colavita it was light and had a smooth consistency taste. I felt it was top quality olive oil. The taste was light and has a nice aroma. I used it for cooking and on appetizers. I also used it for dipping garlic bread in it. This is the best olive oil I have ever had. It comes in a beautiful bottle and design.I would highly recommend Colavita to my family and friend. Comparing this item to others I have had in the past I give Colavita 10 stars and this will be my next purchase for extra Virgin olive oil. This I feel is the best you can get for cooking and dipping. I will be purchasing this really soon.

Great product at a great price

At this price don't expect it to be wholly from Italy. In fact the bottles I have bought recently have all contained a blend of oil from Greece and Portugal. It's still guaranteed 100% extra virgin olive oil so, if you like the flavor and density it's a good product.We have no problems with it. It has a consistent quality and flavor, and that's the main thing. The price is also important but, I suppose, if you are an olive oil snob you might insist on expensive Italian oil. Just don't be alarmed to discover that the eastern Mediterranean countries (today's Iran, Greece etc) were using Olive Oil thousands of years before Rome even existed.

I love to cook and I love to cook fresh, modern and healthy recipes for my family. I love to prepare meals that they love to eat. One of my favorite ingredients is extra virgin olive oil. So many ways to use

Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a good quality olive oil. The Premium Selection variety is first cold pressed, so it adds a wonderful flavor to so many dishes. My favorite way to use this olive oil is on roasted vegetables. For cauliflower and broccoli I use it plain as it already has a nice peppery flavor. For other vegetables I like to add fresh or dried herbs -- carrots with herbes de provence and potatoes with dill are a couple of examples. I received the olive oil as part of a free sample program, and I am so glad I did. I will be buying it regularly as I use a lot of olive oil for air frying, sauces, sauteing, in salad dressings, baking, etc.

This is the best overall Italian EVOO ever!

Colavita Fruttato Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the best find ever. We use it for everything from cooking to sandwiches and dipping to salads. It has that nice robust olive taste without being bitter. It has a slight smooth peppery note - not spicy. This is not a blend from oils from different countries. It is 100% Italian olive Oil ! We buy it in a pack of 6 and store it in a cool basement. Trust me you will go through it. This also makes a great holiday gift as well. Toss it in a basket with some italian breadsticks and a checkered dish towel and Voila! Great product from a trusted company.

You get what you pay for!

olive oil has always been one of those things that I always bought the store brand of. I just couldn't picture one oil being better than the other. I was wrong. When I compared the store brand (I already had in my cupboard) to Colavita, the differences were immediate. The Colavita had a much darker color and when I tasted them separately, the Colavita had a milder, more pleasant flavor. It made for a wonderful dip for my garlic Naan, as well as a marinade for some grilled chicken. probably going to use it to make a dressing next. They also scored big points with me for using a glass bottle (that won't be around for a few million years after I've used it.)
