Great product. Cooks like a champion. The griddle is very thin though so if temperature change occurs (when I pour beer on my onions - do it, it's so good) the griddle bends and contorts. Also, it is difficult to have a small flame. But overall it's a great addition to the camping kit.

I purchased this on sale for approx $220. I believe this is an okay price for this Burner. I would have been EXTREMELY upset had i have purchased this for full price ($399). I believe it is one of the better burners on the market however the lid does not stay shut when trying to carry the burner. It just pops open and everything falls out. I took my original purchase back to be replaced however the replacement also does the same thing. I have had to put a rope around the burner when it is shut to ensure it does not pop open when I am carrying it.I did a lot of research before purchasing and this one appeared to be one of the best. I guess they just don't make them like they used to.

Mine broke to easily, If you twist the threaded gas connection just slightly too much while attaching the rather long bottle attachment (lots of leverage) The tiny fragile gas tube inside the unit will snap clean off, Mine did after only a few uses. Very disappointing that the connection can rotate at all, it should be notched or "D" shaped so it can't rotate. I tried to resolder it but it failed again. $240 going to scrap heap, Not Happy Coleman.

After 3 months of use I am really disappointed in this product. I wanted the largest possible portable bbq that I could use on my balcony, picnics & camping.Positives:- Large size with 3 burners that can reach high heat.Negatives:- The hot plate deformed badly over about 10 usages even though I used low heat every time. I had to throw it out.- The control knob stickers fell off straight away. Had to restick them a couple of times to make sure they aligned correctly for correct power measurement.- The modular mechanisms do not pack in well. The hose, gas connection & greese collector.- The hot plate does not pack inside like other cookers & must be kept separate.- You cannot get a good cast iron replacement plate that fits well. The replacement plates work better on the dual burners. In retrospect I should have just got the dual burner.
We’ve had this stove for 2.5 years and the burners both rusted out from the bottom. I never loved it to be fair. I found it very hard to regulate heat down, it was annoying to clean because the silver material on the bottom stained immediately, the middle burner couldn’t be removed I don’t think. The stand the pots rest on rusted pretty much instantly. The middle burner only worked for a brief amount of time and even poking the holes didn’t get it working again. The ignition stopped working reliably fairly quickly. We adopted to all these challenges and now the burners rusted out and they won’t cover under the 5 year warranty. Reasoning is oil build up. Oil does not cause rust if anything it prevents it. Don’t offer 5year warranty if you will just find excuses.
After a lot of research, I chose this product based on the "Eventemp" An issue with these types of Stoves is not being able to get your temp settings right depending on what your cooking.Surprisingly, for Coleman, this product is cheaply made and it shows... The gas regulation from the knobs are uneven and impossible to set to get an "Eventemp" Given this and that the main burner (middle) being larger than the other 2, the center of the hot plate is Always to hot, regardless of settings! Cooks meat ok but if your trying to do bacon and eggs, I hope you like them VERY well done... a cheap Butane stove cooks better.. Complete waste of my time and money.
While the construction seems very solid and this stove is great for boiling big pots of water, it is generally useless for anything else because the flame control is so touchy - it's either very-high, high, or off. YouTube videos show older models that you could take the valve knobs off, pull out the stems, clean them, then have a wide range of very-low to very-high. With this model, the handle assembly prevents access to make that basic repair. As others report, the girdle doesn't store properly. Please post how to get at the valves to do the simple cleaning or do you really need to take the entire thing apart?
Fine if all you want is to heat stuff up fast, otherwise, not so good. Quality of build is shoddy - the latch doesn't hold it shut, the igniter is unreliable (sometimes works, sometimes doesn't), and the flame adjustment is a combination of squishy (as in you adjust it down and it springs back to a higher setting) and too high. The label fell off one of the knobs on mine right out of the box. Coleman, who did this to you? You used to be such a great brand.
Terrible product, I returned it after one weekend camping. Where do I start.Nothing looks or feels like quality. The knobs are all a bit crooked straight out of the box. The button to open it & keep it closed will not last very long. The lid for a battery to power the igniter fits poorly & the thread to crew it on is misaligned & has no option cross other than cross threading the first time you do it up.I guess if the battery goes flat & you don’t have a spare you can’t light it without another source. A manual piezo is much better in that regard.Chews the gas if using the canisters which I did. Would work out expensive for a week. The burner adjustment is the worst part of all. Has a horrible feel, you try to turn down lower but it either goes out or keeps ... MoreTerrible product, I returned it after one weekend camping. Has a horrible feel, you try to turn down lower but it either goes out or keeps bouncing back to the minimum setting which is way too high. You can’t turn down the heat enough not to burn everything on the plate. Then when you’re finished with the plate & need to boil water you have to wait until it cools to remove it as it has no handles. On the other hand I could not get water to boil is slight wind no matter which way I faced the stove. All in all I was very disappointed considering the fairly good reviews out there. Poor design & even worse build quality. You will be throwing it away in a few years. But maybe that’s what they want?People can’t know any better. I guess I’ve been spoilt with a 40 year old Primus good design & quality. I have struggled to get decent spare parts for it and retired it.Looks like I’m better off trying again to find parts or someone to do some work on it.
Not sure what happened here. Coleman used to be something you could count on, at least in their stoves. I had a two burner self igniting prior that worked great for many years. I ordered this one in anticipation of a camping trip with my two boys. It arrived and despite the grill seeming to be a simpler (easier for cleaning?) design, there was only one hole for the edge of the grill to seat, the other three edges just sort of swung loose, the welding on the metal for the grill was misaligned so it did not sit flush with the stove, but tipped up and down once the one peg was in the "anchor hole". The little thumb screw to open the battery compartment for the self ignition was completely stripped and did not open in the manner described. We never could get it to open. ... MoreNot sure what happened here. Coleman used to be something you could count on, at least in their stoves. MY old self ignition stove has an intrinsic spark, never needed a battery?! I was really disappointed in the quality and for the cost had to return it. It was not anything worth trying to work with. I was excited to have the triple burner option. Basically it's much bigger in size, the same two burners on either end, and a middle one squeezed in. Looking at it I don't think there is any way to get three pots cooking at the same time, but does allow for a bigger pan to be used with a smaller one. I was not happy with this product for my needs and what I had anticipated by the description given.
