Cute but hard for kids to use.

Cute design, but a kid cannot roll this up and get it tied all back together. There are strings that (as other commenters have also stated) are not long enough to get around this bag’s bulkiness. And good luck getting it back into the bag it comes in ever again after you unroll it the first time. Also the zipper is difficult to use if you unzip it all the way as there is no stopper, so I can imagine that being an issue for kids too. I think I will be returning for something that is more kid-friendly, as I got this for my child to take with him to sleepovers. For the price, I expected better.

Cute, soft bag!

I really like this bag. Here are a few things I would have found helpful to know: It is polyester inside and out. The fabric is silky and soft kind of like the inside lining of a jacket. There is not special fabric around the face/edges as advertised. It is the same fabric as the rest of the bag. It is soft and silky though. There is no special closing system. Just very short laces to tie. It will never fit back in the bag it came in. It took a ton of tugging and pulling to originally get it out. It’s never gonna fit back in. With all that said, I really like this bag. I like it enough that even if I end up needing to buy a different bag for it or extending the tie laces, I’m ok with that.

The main reason I bought this was for the Glow in the Dark feature. But nothing glows. Even opened it up and let it “charge” in the sun. Nope still nothing. I even looked up reviews on numerous sites trying to figure out what us supposed to hlow since the product does not hsve even one photo snywhere showing it glowing. All reviews I read complain of it not glowing. If I knew that ahead of time I would have purchased a different coleman sleeping bag.Other than that it’s not a bad sleeping bag for a kid. I had no problem folding it back up correctly and I liked the ties versus the elastic bands that are never that strong anyways. And I got in the bag no harder than putting a pillow in a pillow case. Used it more as padding to lay on with a separate light blanket. looks like it would be easy to wash in a regular size washing machine and I’m sure dries up easy. Just wish the main features advertised for it weren’t a big fat disappointment to a 5 year old lie.

Good lightweight bag
11 November 2022

There are a LOT of lower reviews about putting the bag back into it's carrying case- but I have to say it is not that difficult for an adult, but I can imagine would be impossible for a kid to do it themselves. The trick is to just roll it very tightly (like a towel) and it slips right into the case. The material is a lightweight polyester, so I would recommend using it on top of a sheet/ some other cover as it looks a little too flimsy to withstand direct ground contact. Not sure about how well it would do in the 50 degree rated weather, but I don't think it's being positioned as a heavy duty sleeping bag, so I would advise the kids to bundle up too. Overall, have been pleased with the purchase- hoping to at least get 8-10 uses from it without wear and tear.

Needs improvement, impssible to pack
31 August 2022

I bought this sleeping bag because it was available and fairly inexpensive while we were staying in a hotel room. The zipper glides easily and it has a nice pocket for a flashlight or cellphone. My child was plenty warm since we were indoors. Sadly, Coleman missed the mark on making it possible to repack or roll this ever again. If you plan to buy this and camp, get a garbage bag to stuff it in for the trip home. It will never fit in the stuff sack again and the tie straps are so short they’d barely tie a toddler’s shoes. Coleman could have splurged the extra 50 cents it would have cost them to make either of these features usable.

Nice basic sleeping bag!
1 August 2022

This bag is polyester inside and out, but it’s a soft/silky polyester that feels nice. I don’t know why they say there is special, soft fabric near the face. It is the same fabric as the rest of the bag. It is silky and soft though. The plow zipper is great. The strings to tie it up are definitely short. Not any sort of special system. Just some thin shoestrings to tie. It’s definitely irritating that they aren’t longer. Don’t count on putting the sleeping bag back in the sack it comes in. There is no way. When we first took it out of the sack it took a lot of work just to get it out because it was so darn tight. There is no way it’s going back in. I’m ok with that though. I will either store it without the bag or I will get a bigger bag. The polyester fabric inside ... MoreThis bag is polyester inside and out, but it’s a soft/silky polyester that feels nice. Not great for kids
14 January 2023

This bag is impossible for kids to roll and store on their own. The material is silky and it slips out from your hands making it nearly impossible to roll tight enough to fit back into the bag even for an adult. So, the idea of tying it without it unrolling is unimaginable. Not to mention that if you did give up and ditch the storage bag and just tie it that you would still need at a third hand because the strings are so short. Anyone who claims that this bag fits ‘easily’ back into its storage bag must be a witch. I also strongly dislike that the storage bag is a separate item from the sleeping bag. Having the storage bag sewn to the bottom of a sleeping bag should be standard practice – especially for a child’s item. Having the storage bag as a separate item pretty much ensures it will get lost or thrown out especially since the bag is so impossible to fit back into it. Just more fabric waste to the landfill. I have immediate sympathy for anyone hosting a sleepover where children bring this sleeping bag. I expected better from this brand.

Perfect for a sleep over
14 August 2022

We needed a sleeping bag for a slumber party. This was perfect! The price was descent, and offered curbside pick up. I washed on gentle cycle (top load washer), and dried on low heat. The bag came out soft and fluffy. I wasn't able to tie the straps because the bag fluffed too much, and I was afraid of causing the bag to rip if I tried to tie them. I just folded it up nice and carried it. Color is bright pink and a deep bright purple color. The material is the same on the entire bag.

Does this do what a sleeping bag should do? Yes. BUT.. There is no way on God’s green earth that you can get this sleeping bag back into the bag it came in. None. No way. What’s the point of having a compact sleeping bag that you can easily lug around if you can’t get it to become a compact sleeping bag you can lug around after you’ve used it once??? Side note on sizing: I bought two of these for my two kids under 10. But that’s the limit. My older one is 4.8” and the sleeping bag fit him okay. But it wouldn’t fit him next year. So keep that in mind. It’s best suited for kids under 10 for sure. I returned both sleeping bags. I really wanted to love and keep them. But they’re useless if I can efficiently pack and carry them. Stuff - not roll - into stuff sack
14 July 2023

It’s been a good bag for my kids for a dozen or so one or two night Colorado camping trips the past 4 years. The younger one has a hard time staying inside but just uses it like a blanket. The older sleeps inside it. For all the reviews about storing it, please look up how to use a stuff sack. You literally just shove the thing in the bag, no rolling, etc. You just push until it’s all in there, then pull the drawstring at the top of the sack to keep it all in. It takes seconds and doesn’t look wrinkly when you pull it out the next time.
