First off, it burns! Not in a horrible way, more like a super super strong mint burn. If you can get through that the Peroxyl mouthwash is amazing!!! It really does help with inflammation, canker sore’s, small cuts and even those roof of the mouth burns from when you eat something hot. It is a bit expensive, but since I don’t use it daily I feel it’s well worth the cost. I only use the Peroxyl mouthwash when needed and my normal mouthwash all other days. Also this is great if you have braces! My son has braces and he said it helps all the small little cuts that can come from the braces and even helps the pain from when they do an adjustment. I highly recommend the Colgate Peroxyl mouthwash, keep a bottle on hand - you will need it sooner or later!

I bought this on Amazon for a quick fix to the very bothersome canker sore in my mouth. At first use I felt relief. It didn’t burn or hurt. I used a Q Tip to dip into the solution and apply to the wound for about 2-3 minutes. Fast forward to now (the next day) and the pain is barely there! I can finally eat without the fear of biting on the damn thing. This mouth rinse speeds up the healing process by a lot.

I can definitely vouch for Peroxyl’s efficacy. Peroxyl is a minty oxygenating rinse that speeds gingival (gum) healing after deep dental cleanings, gum irritations from embedded popcorn kernels, etc., and keeps bacteria levels in check. This rinse has been around forever. This stuff packs a punch (but in a good way.) Some people complain the mint is strong but the product can be diluted and still provide healing gum relief. Swish a half cap twice a day for 1 to 2 minutes and whatever mouth issue you’re having will feel SO much better. DO NOT BE PUT OFF by the initial tingling/burning you may feel. PLEASE keep swishing. Once you spit you will feel so much relief!

I somehow managed to STAB MY GUM LINE with a sharp piece of flatbread pizza crust. It kept getting worse and more sore instead of getting better. Bought this stuff and it helped heal it very quickly. After a week of suffering and not going to the dentist because I'm stubborn, this pulled out any infection or bacteria and i never ended up having to be in a dentist chair.I no longer use this but will definitely buy it again if I do something else stupid like bite my tongue of randomly managed to stab my gum line with a pizza crust
I had a tonsillectomy in my forties. Developed Lingual tonsillitis a few yrs later. They are below back of the tongue. YT shows a bloody surgery. I decided to use warm salt water gargles 3-4 x daily, plus Peroxyl before bed. It worked. Let it bubble behind tongue. Seldom a sore throat now. Love this
This was recommended in an article I read on canker sores. Those that have them know how excrutiating they can be. I have found this helps to alleviate the pain somewhat but more importantly helps clear them up quicker. Added bonus it somewhat whitens your teeth. I have since bought a second bottle to keep on hand for when I have a flareup. If you suffer from canker sores as well give this a try and hopefully it will help yours as well.

Got two of the most horrible canker sores ever. I’m prone to them but these were the absolute worst. I tried everything, salt water rinses, hydrogen peroxide diluted with water, baking soda, and nothing worked. In fact I think everything made it more irritated. After a week of suffering I picked this up. Used it after every meal and before bed time and boom, woke up the next day after getting it to the canker sores healing. Definitely get this, I couldn’t be happier to have this nightmare be over.
After 5 days of use, my canker sore pain went from a 10 to a 2. Day 6 I feel no pain at all! I had a sore that was not healing for a week even with salt rinses and hydrogen peroxide/water rinses. It hurt so much that I couldn't eat from one side of my mouth and brushing my teeth hurt so bad. With this, my canker sore is almost fully healed! I had to use it 3-4 times a day for 6 days but definitely saved me a trip to the doctor. It does hurt a lot for 10 seconds the first few times but it cleared out the infection and inflammation with repeated use. In the bottle it recommends not using it for over 7 days, so I am glad it didn't take the full 7 to heal my sore.
Not only does this mouthwash work wonders on sores, but it tastes amazing too! I actually started using this over a year ago for a small sore I had randomly got on my tongue. It was in just the right spot that it made eating really difficult. The sore was gone within a couple of days, and now this mouthwash is the ONLY mouthwash I will use. I’ve always hated mouthwash because of the intense burn and taste it leaves. This stuff doesn’t burn your mouth at all, the taste is great, and it leaves your mouth feeling clean! I use it daily.
