Heads up it says made to vegan standards but there are eggs not in bold in the ingredients. It’s absolutely delicious as a stew in slow cooker with veg suet dumplings. Best dinner ive had in years.

I cooked this exactly as per the instructions. I was expecting a yummy unctuous thick rich gravy with nice soft carrots and what I got was a thin watery gravy with rock hard carrots. I would advise boiling the sauce when you add the carrots for at least 10-15 minutes to thicken the gravy and soften the carrots. Then add the frozen peas before baking in the oven.

I don't buy many ready made items as cook mainly from scratch. I received this to review, so thought i would give it a try. Tastes natural and takes the fuss out of cooking a mid week meal when i am busy but still need a warming winter dish. Will buy again.

I received this free in exchange for a review. It's very convenient and simple to use but can't beat homemade. I use this with some lamb mince and it tasted ok, seems a pity it has palm fat in the ingredients though. Would buy for convenience when I'm in a hurry.
I was sent this product for reviewing by Ocado. Usually I would not use a packet mix for cooking, but I tried it for a review. It?s definitely tasting of packet mix with that slight artificial twang. But if your not a confident cook, this will be a good enough shortcut. It seasons the meat and veg well and creates a nice thick sauce for the potatoes to sit on.
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I usually make cottage pie from scratch but thought I?d give this a go. Yes it?s easy to use but I wouldn?t call it spectacular taste-wise. It includes Palm ?fat? in the ingredients but it mentions nothing about whether it?s reliably sourced hence the low rating, and therefore I won?t be adding it to my weekly shop.
I sometimes use this for cottage pie, and sometimes just to flavour mince to have with baby potatoes, baked potatoes, or on a bread role. Excellent flavour enhancer, and I always make sure that i am well stocked up on these. We love it.
I was sent this product by Ocado to review. Id say, if youre really really busy sometimes...or all the time...then this would be very handy to have in your cupboard BUT, if you look at the ingredients, you could probably do the same thing with a stock cube and some flour A tip from my daughter is to sprinkle a stock cube, OR this cottage pie mix, onto your roast potatoes about 15 mins before the end of their cooking time. Savoury goodness.....
I am reordering this as it made a very tasty rich cottage pie. having noted other reviews I chopped the added carrots into smaller pieces, let them cook in the meat on the hob for a while to slightly soften and then added the Coleman mix, topped with mashed potato and into the oven. No complaints from us!
