Alright girlies, listen up! I’m gonna give you the tea on this product! I was very reluctant to try it based on everybody’s reviews, they’re just all over the place. I have afro-curly (hair typing is stupid but type 4 for your reference). I bought this product specifically for my trip to Atlanta & Savannah Georgia, USA (iykyk). It’s important that you already have a hair care product system for blowouts/silk presses, if you don’t have that then you’re already going about it wrong. Do your own research to create or buy a line that works for you. After using my line, I went in with Dry Bar’s Liquid Glass Moisture-Rich Miracle Smoothing Sealant, theeeeeen I spray in the Color Wow Dream Coat all over. Think you sprayed enough? Nope, spray again. Enough now? Just a touch more! So yes I use two different anti-humidity sealants to ensure my fro is maintained. It lasted throughout my trip, though I sweated my roots out from playing with my nephew but one pass with flat iron and I was good. Overall, I really like this product and if used correctly, you can have your silk press or blow out even longer than usual.

Very very disappointed. After spending years looking for something that would prevent my natural African American hair from reverting to frizz I thought I finally found it. I saw a man with very curly hair demonstrate how amazing this product is. The water literally rolled off his hair. But for some reason no matter what nothing works for me. I went to 3 different sephoras to find it because it was sold out... Hoping this would help me feel confident in this humidity but instead I am so sad. Disappointed and honestly feeling completely defeated. It says it's for curly and coily hair but it doesn't not work at all on coily African American hair. Please save your $35. There is nothing glass like or smooth about my hair, I flat ironed the hair in air conditioning and as soon as I open the door, window or go in The bathroom behind someone after a shower my hair literally just shrivles back up. I've been carrying my flat iron to work each day to retouch it once I get there even though I flat ironed it in the morning before leaving for work. The bottle says it's supposed to last days I don't even get 30 minutes. Very sad and a waste. I washed the hair, sectioned it towel dried, saturated with the product used a barrel brush to blow out any flat ironed my hair on 370°. This does not work at all I still have to walk with a flat iron every day.

I’ve used it once just the way I would with the original to see if it gave better results. Sadly not. It left my hair tacky and with a feeling of something not ‘washed out’. My tresses tangled and felt poorly conditioned. Now this does state it is for coily/ more difficult to straighten hair. My hair is naturally wavy and gets super frizzy left to it’s own devices so I thought maybe this would actually work. Not so and it’s just a bit overpriced too.
