When the Columbia Powder Lite Insulated Jacket is part of your advanced layering system you can brave the coldest days in the backcountry or at your resort of choice. This jacket is built to be worn under a waterproof shell to provide you with the warmth you need to brave the high alpine, while also keeping you lightweight and comfortable. The Thermarator synthetic insulation provides this warmth while maintaining a bulk-free fit that keeps you moving. Meanwhile the Storm-Lite outer fabric enables you to drop the shell on sunny spring days, or while working hard on the skin track, by fighting off light precipitation and daily abuse.

I ordered the Powder Lite Jacket, size M, in Waterfall, which I found to be a very pretty bright teal. The fit is definitely funky. I'm 5'5", broad shoulders, 34D bust, muscular butt & arms, longer legs than torso, and regular arm length. The jacket was snug around the lower part of my butt, snug at the hips/waist, snug at the bust, fit great around my shoulders, and arm circumference was perfect, not tight. The arm length is definitely looooonnggg, haha. Pulled all the way down, the cuff went to my knuckles. If I sized up, the shoulders/arms would be too big.If you're long & narrow, this could be a great jacket for you! Sadly, mine is getting returned.

Beautiful color, loved the high collar! But this was the oddest fitting jacket! I sized up to XL per reviews. The jacket chest/hip area was plenty (too) roomy for a heavy sweater or sweatshirt. However, the armpits are cut so high you fee very restricted when wearing the layers. Stick with this coat if you only want to wear a tshirt underneath.

Color was vibrant, sleeves very long which I love. I’m 5’8, 135 lbs. got a medium. It zips up pretty snugly which is great for warmth but wouldn’t work as well with a very heavy sweater underneath.Has a metallic silver lining which surprised me. Not sure I’ll like the looks of that when the coat is open, but I bet it’s warmer. I wish it had a double top and bottom zipper but it only zips from the top. Then again it was pretty inexpensive on sale.

Good Quality, bought for orange color
2 November 2021

I am 5”11 with slender body. I weigh 145 and I bought size L and the sleeves are a little longer than my wrists which I like. I have longer legs than my torso so the jacket length is longer than my torso and covers my rear end about 1/4 so this jacket does not sit at waist, it’s longer then that. The design of this jacket is tapered at sides and more fitted and not boxy. The drawstrings enable you to make jacket contoured to your body size a bit more and also hold in heat. the inside of jacket is shiny and it looks cool!! A deep, large pocket on inside of each side of this jacket and one pocket each side on the outer part for your hands. No hood but I wear beanie hats anyway. The color is a deep orange (red/orange) whereas men’s harvest color is (golden/orange), my ... MoreI am 5”11 with slender body. We plan on wearing to football games where color is orange....none of these jacket colors match collegiate orange but they will work!

Great jacket
28 January 2024

Needed a light weight but warm jacket for camping. This one is great. I can wear it when it’s 50 or 30 and it is comfortable either way. I like the zip up pockets and the elastic on the cuffs. They aren’t tight- just closed enough to not let air in.

I ordered the Waterfall color in both a small and medium. I am usually a small in Columbia jackets. The small fits, but it is extremely tight and so I wouldn't be able to wear a big sweater underneath during the winter. The most I could wear under it would be a t-shirt. The medium fits my body a bit better, but the arms are very long. If the arms are fully extended, the length reaches the knuckles closest to my fingernails. If I pull the sleeves up to my wrists then I get a lot of bunched up fabric along my arms. The length of the jacket is a bit odd as well. It covers about half of my butt, and on me (I'm 5'5") this length isn't flattering because it makes the jacket appear like it's too big on me. Runs to small. The XXL is even small
1 December 2023

This coat is very pretty in the aqua color. But runs soo small. I usually wear a Large in any coat from any brand. I read the reviews and got a XL and it didn’t fit. So I returned it and got a XXL and that didn’t fit either and that was the largest size. I was very disappointed in how this brand sizes. I purchased a really cute coat in aqua color from Gap in a Large and it fit and it was roomy. Funny how this brand sizes for Women are very small but the men’s sizes are large in fit.

Warm and windproof
11 January 2024

I like to color, looks more elegant then expected. It kept me warm without being heavy. I have found it windproof which is a plus. Based on previous reviews, i bought a size up and it fits well. Can be worn with an extra jumper under it if needed.

Works Really Well
26 November 2023

The jacket is thin, so perfect for wearing under a coat, and light, but is also very warm due to its reflective lining- I wore it over a jumper in very cold, drizzly weather and it kept me toasty warm and dry.I'm normally a medium but had to swap it for a large as the medium was a little tight around my midriff.A few people have criticised the sleeve length but the sleeves are fine; if anything too long is better than too short!

tight

This jacket runs very very small. I am usually a medium and had to get a large. The medium was very tight on the chest and hips. The large is too long on the arms. I am petite and weigh 130 lbs and chest is 36D.The jacket is very cute, light, and keeps you warm. There is definitely something wrong with the sizing of these jackets.I will keep the large even though the sleeves are long. The large gives me enough room if I wanted to wear a sweater under the jacket.
