Contigo Ashland Chill 2.0 Autospout Bottle 709ml Stainless Steel

I absolutely love this water bottle, it has been my go too for quite some time now. The look of it is sleek, and the grip on it is perfect, won’t slip out of your hands, and is a great size that will fit in your cup holder. It keeps your drink cold for HOURS, atleast 6-7 hours with adding ice. I love the push top that makes the straw pop up, which is a silicone material. The only complaint I have is when you do click the straw up, it will sometimes squirt water out that’s been left over. Other than that, I love it. Easy to clean and overall will last you a long time.

(Rewarded Review) Doesn’t Last

Bought Two of these bottles. The one I use (daily) looked great but only lasted 6 months. Small trouble at first getting the straw placed correctly, no big issue. Then I started getting air sucking through the straw. I put up with this. Like many say it’s noisy when sucking. The continuously opening and closing the mouth piece seems to cause small cracks in the part that bends inside. Then the break gets big enough that all you get is air. I still use the bottle but I had to push the straw up the mouthpiece past the break. I can no longer close the lid so it’s open all the time, not what I like. Now with the straw up so far I cannot get all the water out, that leaves an inch or water in the bottle. BEST Water Bottle EVER!!

After having this water bottle I have been spoiled!! I’ve tried others before and after this one and I can say that I prefer this one to any other, 100%!!Definitely worth the money and once you use it, you’ll never want to be without it!! Mine goes everywhere with me!! LOL

Beware of sipping apparatus…

Bought this because I had purchased a Contigo Water Bottle in the past but had misplaced it. Initially, I really liked the fact that the straw attached to the sipping apparatus made refreshing oneself especially simple. It was only after refilling the bottle, opening it, and having it splash — not squirt, but splash water no fewer than 6 feet across the room, soaking everything and everyone in its wake, that I quickly decided that this was NOT the water bottle for me.

Doesn't seem to be up to par for Contigo.

Unfortunately, this item was defective. Could not suck up water. The problem was in the spout area. Tested it without the straw, holding my finger against the opening. I could still suck up air, meaning there is a hole/crack somewhere in the spout. There is a warranty on the item, but it was easier to just return it to the store. Return process was easy. Just disappointed because I love Contigo products.

Favorite water bottle!

I absolutely love Contigo water bottles and coffee mugs and have used them for years. I recently purchased this as some of my water bottles needed replaced and we were taking a road trip to the beach. Just as all my previous Contigo purchases, this did not leak at all and the spout is easy to open and close. I threw this in my beach tote in the morning with some ice and my bag stayed completely dry. No leaks and no sweating occurred due to the temperature difference. It stayed cold for hours and I would still have ice when we returned to our condo. It fit perfectly in my cup holder in the car. It is also resilient as my 4 year old has already dropped it a few times and the seal still functions perfectly. The only potential downside is that the bottle itself is a bit taller than most standard water bottles and I have to store on its side in the cabinet when clean versus standing up, but I gladly accept this so I can have 24 ounces of insulated, cold water, without sweating. (The included photo shows this bottle next to a normal size, for reference. Note that with the lid on, it is the same height, but the bottle itself is taller.) Moral of the story, this is my new favorite water bottle. It keeps things cold, does not leak or sweat, fits in a standard cup holder, and I love the color!

Great idea, flawed design

I was so excited at the features of this container that I bought before starting my new job... But it's been hard to use at work. First of all, when i press the release to flip the top up, it usually sprays my drink at me and anyone in close proximity. I have to hold the spout and let it slowly come up. Next, the straw does not reach the bottom so it is next to impossible to drink the bottom of the drink without taking the lid off. Lastly, it will make one of two loud noises when the drink gets below about 1/4 full. Either it will be a loud whistle or a loud gargling while it tries to draw up the end of the liquid. I work close to others and these problems make it hard to use.

Poor suction

I used this bottle for about 14 months before the autospout technology failed. There was no suction and when I checked the lid, the pop-up straw was broken. It's not fixable and there are no replacement parts. I can't return it to the store because I've traveled overseas and I no longer have the receipt. I like the brand though and had this bottle dedicated for cold water and ice so no chance of coming into contact with heat. It's such a shame it can only be used now with both hands instead of one.

This water bottle is per-fect

Practical loop to carry the bottle with one finger. Locked mechanism to protect the mouth piece - if the bottle falls on the beach, no sand touches it. Push-button to flip up the mouth piece. Plus, it's a thermos, what more can I say? Kept a hot drink warm for 10 hours (I'm not getting paid for this review but I've looked a long time for a water bottle that fits my needs).

great buy

This was exactly what I was looking for. I like the design, the color, easy to hold, drink from the spout, and it's leak proof. The ice and water stay cold for hours. It's also easy to clean the straw come out. I would recommend this item to anyone.
