I've owned several Contego travel mugs & love them. they're absolutely the best on the market for not leaking when knocked over but still being easy to open and drink from with one hand. In summer, they keep coffee fairly hot or cold for most of a day; obviously less in quite cold or hot weather, though coffee was still very warm in mine after a round of golf in 10°C yesterday. On the expensive side, but they last for years if cared for. My old one's been dropped, banged and abused for probably 10 yrs & is only being retired as backup because the rim is finally getting a little chipped. Great purchase when on sale.

I love these contingo autoseal bottles and travel mugs. But I just wanted to alert you to a problem my father had with a similar contingo autoseal water bottle. He had been continuously filling the bottles and not airing the cap and the cap was full of mould. This is common to all water bottles and is easily solved by taking the lid off and airing it overnight to refill the next morning. Run it through the dishwasher regularly (on the top rack). Fill it with a mixture of vinegar and hot water and leave that overnight on occasion (probably once a week would be ideal). If you have a fully stainless steel one stick it through the dishwasher at the same time as the top, but if yours is coloured, hand wash it in soapy water. If you have a fully stainless steel one stick it through the dishwasher at the same time as the top, but if yours is coloured, hand wash it in soapy water. Do this regularly - as often as possible - as mould is no good for anybody. While the problem is no doubt more prevalent with water bottles than coffee flasks, it could potentially be a problem for people who take the coffee flask to work and leave it sitting on the desk all day without rinsing it and then leaving the cap off for it to totally dry. But on the bright side, the autoseal drinking spout on these bottles is amazing. When you're ready to drink, press the button so the silicon seal inside releases and an ample supply of liquid will pour into your mouth. You can regulate the flow by how far you press the autoseal button in. I love these coffee flasks and they will keep your coffee warm, but don't expect it to keep your coffee boiling hot. They will gradually lose heat over time and if you start drinking your coffee or tea two or three hours after you feel that you will notice that it's not as warm as you may like. You can extend the time it will stay hot by filling the flask with hot water and pouring it back into your kettle and if you then immediately fill the flask with your coffee, it will stay much hotter for longer. But please note it will never stay hot for as long as a properly insulated thermos, but I properly insulated thermos does not have the benefit of the autoseal cap. It is a trade off and for me the benefit of the autoseal cap, far outways the downside. To be honest, most people will be using this to drink either immediately or in the next half hour on the commute to work and it's really not going to be a problem. When I have wanted to keep my coffee warm for an extended period I store it in my thermos flask and transfer it to this bottle for drinking - easy!

Finally a decent size travel mug that doesn't spill coffee everywhere!!. I was talked into buying a YETI travel mug from another Kitchen retailer as it was marketed as the "bees knees" and the packaging states that 'its over engineered". My brief to the salesman was simple - it had to be spill proof and a decent size mug as I am catching public transport to work.Got it home and filled it with water and the damn thing leaked like a sieve, through the magnet slider. Poor build in my opinion and the magnet slider should have had a seal at least built into it. So out of curiosity, I googled YETI fails and a you-tube video news story came up from November 2021 with 185,000 recall on the YETI mug due to hot liquid burns issue. Hah no surprises there.Took the YETI mug ... MoreFinally a decent size travel mug that doesn't spill coffee everywhere!!. I have the 14oz Contigo for about 2 years. The main reason for the purchase is the one hand use and reseals. I rinse the lid and body every morning and thoroughly clean with Dawn and drinking glass brush. In reality, it keeps my coffee hot for 1-1/2 hours and drops off after that. This is still my go to morning coffee. I have the Thermos brand too, and keeps the coffee hot for a little longer period. If my coffee starts to get warm, I through it in the microwave, using a mug designed for microwave use. I highly recommend this Contigo Travel Mug
Contigo Travel Mug is one of the best coffee (or hot beverage) mugs I have used. Besides keeping your drinks hot (or cold), it also is easy to clean and lockable to prevent spills. The lid is easily cleanable, it has a release latch inside the lid that lets you easily clean all the surfaces so there is no dirty build up after use. It has lock button on the lid, so that you can be sure you won't have any leaks.
This water bottle is fabulous. Keeps ice for hours, easy to drink from, doesn’t leak. The pop-out mechanism in the lid makes washing simple and there are no hard to get to places or silly straws where bacteria can lurk. We just keep buying them for ourselves and for gifts as there is nothing better on the market.
Great product. Works as advertised. Button started leaking after ten months. With something with many moving parts, something is bound to ware out. But this product is certainly worth buying—if you actually received it! But not from this particular sponsored seller, 24 Hour Warehouse. But too bad this "2 pack" turned out to be a "1 pack." Contacted the seller, 24 Hour Warehouse, about it. But the seller, 24 Hour Warehouse, kept wanting more and more info. After several attempts to get the seller, 24 Hour Warehouse, to send me the other mug that I paid for, I quit bothering, because it seemed obvious the seller, 24 Hour warehouse, was giving me the run around. And I got tired of wasting my time and effort on this particular sponsored seller, 24 Hour Warehouse. I ... MoreGreat product. Works as advertised. Button started leaking after ten months. And I got tired of wasting my time and effort on this particular sponsored seller, 24 Hour Warehouse. I will just make sure I never buy anything from this particular sponsored seller, 24 Hour Warehouse, ever again. In fact, after this, I try to avoid buying anything from a sponsored seller unless I really want the particular product—meanwhile being aware that I may be risking losing my money, like I did with this particular sponsored seller, 24 Hour Warehouse. When shopping on Walmart.com, I try to make sure I am buying things that are "sold and shipped by Walmart.com." Because it is always easy and fast to get snafus straightened out with Walmart.com.
I am hopeless with travel flasks and mugs. I’m always spilling them, they leak, or I lose the lid/cap. This is truely leak-proof, I can even ‘lock it’ to safe guard further so I can safely throw in my gym bag. Keeps liquid hot/cold enough, comfortable to drink from and hold. I can even put in the dishwasher. The only flask I will use.
I have tried all the others - they leaked, they didn't keep things cold or warm, they were uncomfortable in my hand or didn't fit in my cup holders. Contigos are SO different! I ride horses on the trails in the hot summer and when I come back to my hot truck my drink still has ice in it! It never leaks, regardless if I drop it on the floor and it rolls around while I drive. My Contigo cup, always beside me, reminds me to keep hydrated. I LOVE my Contigos! There is no other cup like it.
This was my favorite mug for avoiding spills, I used it daily until 1 day I spilled my drink on my bed. I thought maybe I closed it wrong. Nope, turns out e sipping opening wasn't even all the way closed even though its supposed to automatically close. I soaked it and used every cleaning solution I could think of with a straw cleaner to get deep in there but there was nothing stuck in the springs, they just suddenly corroded. No way for me to replace it so I had to throw the cup away. So sad. Now I know not to get a cup woth such intricate parts. It was perfect if only it lasted.
