The tire was ordered with Wheel and Sprocket and arrived just a few days after placing order, For years, I have used the Continental Contact Plus tires on my hybrid bicycle. As I primarily ride on bike paths and local streets, they have decent tread, provide good traction, and good flat protection. I estimate I typically ride them 3000 miles maybe more before replacing them and have had very few flats thru the years. I recommend the tire and Wheel and Sprocket Inc.

This 622-37 or 700c-35 is a solid feeling tire. I had issues with a lighter-weight tire and road bumps being harsh and occasional flats so I figured I'd try this one--even though the negative reviews said they had lots of problems installing. it has extra thickness on the main tread area and absorbs shock well.It is a tight fitting tire compared to some others I have tried, but if you take a look at the video another person posted this technique works without tools.Start with tube in the tire but only inflated enough so tube is not flaccid.Put both sides of tire into rim at valve and pinch beads together and tuck in all the way around.Near the last portion pull one bead over the rim--do this before you get to far--and ensure tire is tucked in.Check beads ... The last bead will slip over rim, and it's done.No tools needed, and being it's tight it sets itself into place quite well.

These were the third set of tires I tried on my bike, and I can't say enough how superior they are to the others. These are very fast on paved surfaces and packed gravel, handle water very well, feel "light", and do an excellent job taking up road shock: Very comfortable ride! Uncanny, really.High puncture resistance and reflective bands were essential to me. These tires are safety rated very high, but they are a nimble feeling and riding tire. What I didn't expect was how well they climb. It's like I shed a few pounds from my bike. Really makes the bike a delight on moderate inclines. Bought 2 Continental Contact Plus 24" for the back of my Vintage Trike e-conversion as the ones I had on there kept popping out of the rims. These fit snugly and stay in the vintage "hooked" rims. Plus the E-50 rating gives me confidence they will handle the speed of e-triking. It's important to note these are Directional tyres! Make sure you install correctly for the intended installation. Shipping took some time, coming from Amsterdam to Chicago to Tennessee, but they made it through customs, etc. just fine. Now to put some miles on them and see how they hold up!
Delivery was quick, on time and with no issues. The tyres are absolutely fantastic. The ride feels really smooth with low resistance. Further, I just know by the quality of the tyre that punctures are not going to be an issue this Autumn/Winter.I have more confidence in these tyres riding in the wet and so far I’ve not been let down when it comes to grip on the road and cobbles.I needed some support fitting the tyre, in the form of hands to hold the already seated part of the tyre, which would pop off if not, but as expected when you see how bullet proof they are.
I’m no expert on tyres , all I know is my factory fitted tyres lasted less than 2000 miles, at around 1500 miles I started getting punctures , on closer inspection the tyre was delaminating so time to change , during covid I managed to get some advice from a local specialist cycle shop who advised the continental contact plus tyres . I bought these at full price and never looked back , they were brilliant . I did over 3500 miles on these and although plenty of life left in them I decided to change before the weather changed , I bought this set from Tredz and saved some money as well . They arrived within 48 hrs and it took me an hour to fit the pair , happy days ,
This tyre is currently discounted and is excellent value for what is a very durable tyre. Whilst the Schwable Mondial folding tyre is superior and probably still the best on the market, it comes with a hefty price tag and is not available in sizes smaller than 35mm.The Continental Contact Plus Reflective 700c Tyre is therefore certainly worth considering.
Bought these for winter commuting on Vancouver island and couldn’t be happier. Easy rolling and decently fast on paved roads, very grippy on dry and wet roads, even wet painted lines. No issues with breaking confidence. Have had to do some hard breaking to avoid vehicles entering the road way and these have stopped me quickly. Ridden in light snow with decent results. Haven’t let down yet. I found mounting the 700x36 tires a piece of cake on my rims. I’ll be buying another pair after these go which won’t be for a while.
I wish I had read the reviews. I tried installing a 700X28C on a Surly Steamroller rim. It was far too tight but I figured I was using a 32 tube and was probably pushing too much rubber inside the tire. Exchanged for a 700X32 and put a 28-32 tub inside. Two broken leavers, three clamps and two punctured tubes later and I give up. It may be a good tire but you have to get it on the rim first. And god help you if you flat somewhere other than near a bike garage. MEC should not carry this tire. I noticed this Conti is made in India. Perhaps that factory is manufacturing with a different standard than the European tires? Even experienced bike mechanics would not be happy with this fit.
I put a pair of these on my wife's Trek Verve +2 to replace the stock tires when they wore out. She likes these tires a lot so I got them to replace the stock tires on my Verve +3. Way better than the stock tires. Roll better, better traction and more confident nimble handing. The bike felt too heavy and nervous on the stock tires. Not with these. Run these about 5 pounds lower than previous tires at 35 psi. At 40 psi the ride was a bit harsh. I always have good luck with Conti tires.
