I bought 4 tubes, out of these 4 tubes 2 were defective right out of the box. They weren't even mountable to the rim they were that defective (pinched bulging near stem when you inflate). The other 2 made it onto my bike, however during my ride one punctured less than 20km into my ride on a clean flat road. When I took the tire off for a road side repair I found the puncture occurred on the bottom part near the stem. The rubber thickness seems inconsistent as some parts are thicker and thinner than others. I will never buy conti-tubes again horrible experience.

Some folks like this tube because it has a removable core. Me, not so much. Even with a snap-on pump, the core is more than happy to leak or remove itself when the pump hose is removed from the valve. That's okay if you're at home and have an appropriate tool and can tightennnn the core in good lighting and out of the rain, but otherwise it's a design flaw that means a long, long walk back to your base.

Great tubes. Well made, when inflated outside of a tire it inflated equally and evenly throughout the entire tube. Weight isn't quite what they advertise, a little heavier according to my scale. But still lighter and better quality than the regular tubes the shops carry. Running them inside a folding 23c Gatorskin, on a H+Son Archetype rim with only veloplugs for the nipple holes and nothing for the valve stem hole. Absolutely no problems! A little bit of baby powder on the tube helped with installation. Been happy for hundreds of miles! And they don't leak out air as fast as some lightweight tubes. Definitely worth it.

When I switched out the tires and tubes on my bike, I went for these Continental tubes. They perform well, doing a good job of holding air. Topping up the tires rarely requires adding more than 5 psi before each ride, on a daily riding schedule. They do seem expensive, but I got some perspective when I bought some generic tubes from another store (they were out of Continentals at the time). Cheaper tubes lose more air over time, and the ones I used had problems with their valve stems sticking. In contrast, the Continental valves are always reliable, pushing straight down and engaging as well as the first day, after months of riding. To me, being able to count on these tubes taking and holding air makes them my favourite.Surely there must be better tubes out ... To me, being able to count on these tubes taking and holding air makes them my favourite.Surely there must be better tubes out there, and one can get stuck with a defective set. For the money, though, these tubes are dependable, and more than sufficient in quality for my bike and riding.
These tubes are a bit heavier and bulkier than the 20-25 size but it has the advantage of properly filling up your 28 or 32 mm tire at lower pressure and being more reliable. With respect to the valve core coming unscrewed when pumping up, there's an easy fix for that: With a spoke nipple tool, or even an small adjustable wrench, tighten the core well so that it won't unscrew when using a screw on pump nozzle. I have a Lezyne pump with such a nozzle and the core never unscrews when it has been properly tightened.
most people give their inner tubes little thought. These are fine quality tubes. They feel light enough. I chose the 60mm valve stem length. I put these on v-section style rims and I had plenty of stem length. As with any thinner inner tube I would recommend a sturdy rim strip. I've had other light weight tubes fail by getting a hole at the spoke hole rim on the tube. Continental makes a great rim strip the resists bulging inward.
So far so great. Light weight yet butyl material making them resilient. The 42mm valves are perfect length. Good for any wheel up to about 30mm height. They hold air well. The ride feels really nice combined with my Continental GP 4000/ now 5000's tire. A over all really good product.
I use 60mm deep CF rims and with stem extenders for the original 40mm valve stems. Having to lock the Presta valve open and then fitting an extender often meant that the valve wouldn't seal a low pressure for fitting the tube. The 80mm. Presta valve stem has solved the problem, no more pinched tubes. The tube is super light and so far no punctures after a 100 miles. The one piece tube also makes it easier to store a spare in my saddle pack. Highly recommended.
Prior to buying this tube I've read a few bad reviews, but in the shop I didn't have too much of a choice, so I said I'll give it a go, giving the fact that I cycle to work on a daily basis.I knew Continental make rubbish car tyres, now I have the certainty it makes rubbish bike inner tubes too. This tube lasted me for 3 days. It simply started to lose air and when I took it off I've noticed that it had a minuscule rupture just opposite the valve. I do 22 miles/day commute to work, but 66 miles range for a top brand is embarrassing.I see a few 5 stars reviews from people who didn't use the product yet. Is anybody monitoring these reviews at Halfords? They just make the product seem to be what it's not.I definitely won't buy it again !!!!
This tube costs more than the cheaper MEC branded tube. So what's the difference? To begin, it has a removable valve core. This means that if you wanted to use tire sealant (as is often the case in Trialthons where time is critical) you could do so because you could remove the core and squirt in the sealant and then put the core back into inflate. This is not possible (or easy) on a tube where the core cannot be removed.Second, the tube is recommended for 25C tires. It means that it has the appropriate thickness for this tire, without being too heavy. Many cheaper brands are rated for 23C. A 23 C tube can be used with a 25C tire but it the rubber will be stretched out a little more, raising the risk of a flat. Finally, the 42mm core length means that it is just ...
