In the Pacific Northwest it’s crucial to have waterproof coverage and the feet are certainly no exception. Which is why I was super excited to test the new Run Star Legacy Chelsea CX.From quick glance it provides a chic and classy look while modern technology is infused all throughout the shoe. The cushioned sole is incredibly supportive, comfortable and fits true to size. I have struggled with boots that are too stiff or too bouncy but this shoe is a perfect balance.With that said, the one detractor has to be the zipper - just trying to zip it up is somewhat of a struggle. It sticks and requires some force to zip up. Here’s to hoping it loosens somewhat over time. Other than that, this shoe is perfect!

I purchased these in black and white at my regular true to size fit. The shoes are gorgeous but the zipper on both pairs is of poor quality and am very saddened they did work out. I kept the black pair because I've been able to zip those with a little struggling. The white pair unfortunately broke the zipper immediately upon trying them on. I thought perhaps they were faulty and ordered a 2nd pair. Immediately upon trying to 2nd pair I purchased, the zipper on the opposite foot broke immediately just like the 1st pair. Like everyone else in the reviews say, the center of the show near the ankle is too tight. I like Converse shoes a lot and I am sad to say I was disappointed in their approach to reach for something new. Upon unboxing the shoes, I was immediately taken back by how huge the shoe was, which it was mostly the sole. Maybe I’m not stylish enough or into the modern clothing trends, but this shoe felt a bit like I should take a walk on the moon… the feel of the fabric was nice though and for being so large it wasn’t very heavy, like I expected. However, trying them on I had difficulty. I needed to size up to truly enjoy the shoe because my arch caused trouble when zippering it and the ankles are so tight, and I have pretty small ankles. It was comfortable on the sole from all of the cushioning, like walking on pillows! I’d probably always wear socks with these but could throw them on bare feet if running out quickly. Speaking of quick, the zipper is awesome. It was a little sticky at the start but after a couple wears it slid up and down very easily. I love the height on the platform. Goes great with wide leg jeans and midi or maxi dresses.I have wide feet but these felt great. The sole is extra cushy as well - no problem standing for long periods of time. The Run Star Legacy Chelsea CX Hightops are a great addition to your shoe line up. The material is soft yet durable feeling. I love the support around the ankle, and can’t wait to continue wearing these this fall.My only negative is that the zipper feels rough when sliding it up and down. This indicates it should be strong and durable, but I do worry about it snagging or getting out of alignment. This would make the shoes unwearable.Overall, I recommend these and think they put off a great image without seemingly trying too hard. They will be perfect in the cooler weather, and will keep your feet dry and comfortable. Definitely check these out!

These are truly one of the most innovative sneakers I’ve seen in a very long time. They’re very sturdy and heavy in a good way. You can tell they’ll last a long while. One thing I don’t like is the stretchy area around the ankle (where the logo is) gets creased and wrinkled with 1 use. So they won’t look as “fresh” after first wearing them but it’s ok I guess. They do run slightly smaller than my true 8.5 women’s size. They fit me best with very thin socks, not regular socks. But a 9 would have been best. Get a half size bigger. The zipper in the middle is legit heavy metal which looks and feels amazing but I did struggle putting them on at first since the zipper was very stiff going up and down. I received this pair for my honest review.
