It's my first time using and purchasing these markers. I have heard great things about Copic markers, and give it a try, since they're on sale, however, most of the markers came to me semi dry. The light colors were especially more dry than the darker colors. Will be going to BLICK by me to exchange or see if they have the refills. Not a good first impression to a new customer for Copic markers.

I love my Copic markers. I have utilized many permanent and watercolor markers, but I find these the best. They are easy to use, easy to blend, come in a plethora of colors. I like the fact that I can refill (less waste in the landfill) and I can replace the tips as well. These are always my go-to coloring markers for everything. I find that I use them in many times while creating scrapbook pages, cards and art.

These are the best markers I've ever used! I'm an amateur colorist. I color in Sachin Sachdeva's "Butterfly Colour by Number" to destress. I switched to Copic when I couldn't get Prismacolor double ended art markers any more. In addition to all their other good qualities they are comfortable to hold. The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't cap them on the other side while drawing.

Best alcohol marker

Goes on smooth, blends very well, blender marker does not dilute it as quickly so you can really get different tints in, nor does the pigment clump and puddle when trying to blend. The colors are true to what you see, goes on tone darker, but stays that way. Steaks alittle depending on what color you are using, but can easily be fixed with the blending marker. It’s worth the money. Don’t practice with less quality markers, trust me it’s a waste of time and more money in the long run.

Copics are worth the cost
16 May 2024

Copic markers are worth the money. I’ve tried several other brands like Ohuhu, Artist’s Loft, and Master’s Touch, and while all the markers I’ve tried are decent quality, you cannot get the same blending with other markers. Other markers still leave a visible line between shades or lift the ink that was previous placed. Copic you get a seamless blend unlike any other. The brush nib surpasses any bullet nib on other brands for blending and covering large areas.

Cracked Caps
13 March 2021

Purchased all 358 Copic Sketches later to find, through massive ink evaporation and wasted refills, over a dozen of them had cracks in the caps. I did not mistreat the markers at all, as I treasure them and take such good care. I'm certain they came this way, either as a manufacturer defect and damage in storage and shipping. When there's a crack in the cap ink will evaporate sometimes at a rate of over a gram a month--this is an exorbitant amount of the equally overpriced ink refill, and with 358 markers it was easy to lose track of which ones I was constantly refilling, only to lose all the ink, not to art but to air! I even took to taping the seal between the marker and body because I thought the ink loss was simply due to the fact the crack made the cap loose by compromising the pressure by extending its diameter only to find the alcohol still escaped because the cracks extend into the inner chamber of the cap which itself communicates with the outside as the color code cap inside the top of the cap does not seal airtight. The proneness to cracking, inconsistent fit, and color code cap within the cap not being connected makes the Copic Sketch cap--the critical protector of all that premium ink, which should be flawless for the criticalness of its necessary function and the marker's price--a weak link that can lead to catastrophic ink loss and a money pit. I also assume that evaporating all the alcohol while leaving all the pigment inside after multiple refillings will cause its own damage to the integrity of the tone. And clearly Copic should sell replacement caps, as well as Super Brush nibs in reasonably priced bulk arrangements, as buying premium-priced markers that just evanesce all the premium-priced ink refill and need premium-priced nibs, which work out to cost per Super Brush almost half the price of a Copic Sketch marker--for felt!--only to have to replace said premium-priced marker because it came with a crack in the first place is mmaaddnneessss!!!

Great Markers!
19 May 2023

I purchased this to use with my manga and anime style drawings as I had heard many good things about Copic Sketch Markers. Especially the fact that they are refillable. I chose Sketching Grays as one of my starting sets because I wanted a way to add shadows and tones to my work, as well as to use the microliter for outlining. These markers did not disappoint! The dual tips allow for a wide range of line options and the colors lay down and blend beautifully. There is bleed through on cardstock, which I expected based on previous research, but I am going to primarily use them on Bristol Smooth paper going forward.I recommend these markers. Since they are refillable, I will be buying the refills rather than these exact markers again, however I will buy more Copic ... MoreI purchased this to use with my manga and anime style drawings as I had heard many good things about Copic Sketch Markers. Highly recommend this set of markers.

This purchase of Copic Sketch Markers was a gift to my daughter. She creates amazing drawings with both pencils and markers. She needed a quality set of markers. The two tips on each marker allow for optional ways to create pictures. I just knew after reading other customers reviews that my daughter would churn out outstanding artwork. She adapted to these markers instantly. I would get the set of 36 markers and add new colors individually.

My favorite markers
24 May 2023

I love Copic markers because they blend so effortlessly and really give me a nice finish to all my work. I mainly use them to color stamped images, although I do use them on original artwork and occasionally in mixed media. I have had issues lately with the Copics I received from Blick, which is very unusual, but they immediately made it right and replaced the markers that were completely dried out on arrival. I had given away my entire collection and had to buy quite a few markers at a time, so perhaps it was just bad luck that a number of markers were duds given the number I ordered. I will continue to use Blick and to buy Copics. I know they are expensive, but they are refillable and I find they usually last a good long while before I need to refill them. Returned
4 January 2023

I finally decided to 'invest' in a few Copic markers for a project. Of the colors I purchased, some were dry - - 2 were bone dry. They are kept under lock and key, and the associate who was waiting on me had to wait until I was finished choosing. Although she did NOT prod me to conclude, I felt obligated to hurry through my choices and therefore did not test them. I cannot truly fault the markers or Michaels... they just do not sell enough of them in the store evidently. I know they are 'refillable' but why would anyone start with a purchase that needs refilling and would require purchasing ink? My advice: TEST THEM BEFORE PURCHASING! I have to say Michaels readily allowed me to return them the next day without question.
