This watch, and the free web app Training Hub, has pretty much changed my exercise life. I've been working with physical therapy to address a knee condition that's been preventing me from returning to running, and I've been able to map their diagnoses and therapy into workouts and a training plan on Training Hub.My tendency to overstride has resulted in working on increasing my cadence, for which I use the onboard metronome, as well as training steps that measure high-low limits in real time. Training Hub tracks and works my training load increase incrementally, taking into account my age, weight, and my response (via heart rate and other factors), and warns me that I might be overdoing it.As a person who's habitually overextended himself in the past and found ... It's been a game changer for me.I won't say that figuring out the watch has been the easiest journey. There is _a lot_ of data to understand. I don't fully comprehend all of it. But knowledge reveals itself over time with review of their online manuals and reflecting on the data captured into Training Hub. I have read elsewhere that Garmin is more for lifestyle and Coros is more for serious athletics, and I believe it. Neither is the wrong approach, but Coros is the right approach for me.

I recently bought a new Coros Pace 2 watch. I love everything about it- easy to learn how to use, does everything I want, and incredibly light on the wrist. I imagine the Pace 3 is even better. The only issue I had was that I couldn’t charge it. I followed all the instructions and troubleshooting to no avail. I contacted customer service and they fixed the problem immediately. They were so friendly to interact with and they sent me a new charging cord which arrived in two days. Problem solved. Also- the unboxing and presentation of the Coros product is just like opening a new Apple product. So easy to get going right away and you already can feel you’ve bought a quality product from a company that cares about high standards and customer experience. Kudos to Coros! ... I love this watch! It is very good at what it does: accurate GPS sport tracking! I mostly use it for running, but also hiking, snow sports, and strength training. I like that it is very straight forward and simple in operation and data presentation. Battery life is great, and build quality is very good for the price. The screen is fantastic in direct sunlight, and also very good in the dark (with the backlight) but some of the watch faces can be hard to read in medium light settings. The phone app is simple to use and presents data well. The web app is even better, but also not necessary to get a ton out of the watch. The watch does not have a lot of smartwatch features other than text and phone notifications, which was appealing to me because I wanted something ... MoreI love this watch! I'll be more specific at a later date - I've been meaning to dig into this thing after having owned since launch and previously using the Coros Pace2 for the half year prior. The metrics it provides and organization of data is first-rate. Some of it is far more rudimentary than Garmin but that's often a good thing. Often though I come across glaring holes in the system, problems with training load, problems with HR monitoring (the, watch is great, battery second to none, but the HR monitor is horrible even by standards of most every other wrist-based type, which isn't great) and problems addressing any of the issues I come across with workarounds... They're usually not possible. Workouts can't be edited after the fact. It doesn't take much to tank a day's worth of ... They're usually not possible. Workouts can't be edited after the fact. It doesn't take much to tank a day's worth of metrics, and in turn an entire week's worth. And that's if everything is working properly... It often isn't (even by admission from Coros). Fixes come slowly and often break something else that was working properly. Just peruse the Coros reddit sub and you'll find all the issues. After nearly a year in the system I'm almost ready to go back to Garmin. Part of me adores this watch and part of me frequently wants to crush it under my heel on the ground each time it has me spending more time messing with it than focusing on training.
My first Smartish Watch. It has a lot of features but the menu requires a steep learning curve and is not well explained in the manual. As noted in other reviews the heart rate monitor during exercise, indoor bike in my case, seems a little inaccurate, at times fluctuating radically without relation to exertion. At rest or in general throughout daily activities it seems very accurate. The silicon band is fiddley but once secured fits well and is comfortable for 24/7 wear. The charging port on the watch requires some pressure to securely connect to the cable. I would buy this product again.
This watch is a no frills version of Garmin. It doesn't tell you when you're stressed, or that your heart rate is too high, it just lets you get on with fitness tracking. I'm a long time Garmin customer and I only switched because the lack of features on the lower end Garmins really annoyed me, and so did the syncing to iphone with their watches.Ok my review -Pros:-Lightweight and VERY comfortable. Fits my tiny wrists perfectly and doesn't look ridiculous-Amazing battery life-Enough activity profiles to keep me happy-Rugged look-You can turn the touchscreen feature off completely-I can add training programs to the watch, including a hangboard one for rock climbing-Coros is REALLY responsive to feature requests and there are frequent firmware ... The icons look really dated.-Doesn't have wellness tracking or health monitoring, but I knew this coming into the purchase-No weather displayed on the watch face but I think they're working on it-Can't customize most of the data on the watch face-Not an AMOLED display despite what you see online, but no biggie-Wish I could mark myself as sick or not feeling so I can track those days when I'm not working out
I have three big problems with the COROS Pace watches. First of all, their fitness metrics are highly inaccurate. When questing their customer support about the metrics, I have learned that this is a known issue they have been working on for a long time. They have been promising to address the issue for many, many months but have not been able to fix the issue. Updates have been created and pulled because of quality problems.Second, my Pace watch lasted 2 years and three months and then the battery died. The watch is completely unusable 3 months after the warrantry expired.Lastly, when contacting COROS about the watch dying only 2.25 years old, they did not seem concerned that the watch did not last very long. So this seems to be pretty normal for them. They have ... MoreI have three big problems with the COROS Pace watches. First of all, their fitness metrics are highly inaccurate. Why buy another one when the first one did not last.I was so excited about my COROS watch when I got it two years ago but it's only been one disappointment after another.
I don't have a Pace 3 but I have a new Pace 2. It is significantly lighter than the original one. I love the silicone textured band. The band is quite secure as it is designed better to hook into two loops. It is even noninvasive to wear at night to record the sleep. I did so for two nights without discomfort. The menu system has changed as well by adding more exercises such as jump rope. I like that. The coros support team was just amazing as to how they take their products seriously. When I had an issue with my original one, they took action very quickly to resolve the situation. I just love the reliability of both the watch and the company!
Great for tracking runs, hikes, bike rides, swims, etc. battery lasts a really long time. I have no problems with the charger cord other than not being able to find it since I only need it once a week or so. I used to have the pace 2 which died after 3 years- I was hoping to get 5-6 years out of it but I felt 3 was at the lowest end of ok so when coros offered an out of warranty discount on the pace 3 I didn’t hesitate. It has a simple clean interface, new features being added regularly, has a lot of configurability if you’re willing to figure it out but not necessarily out of the box. It’s very lightweight and comfortable. I got the red one and it is a very bright red-in retrospect I probably would have preferred the black but it’s still fun. I pair it with a polar ... I pair it with a polar chest strap heart rate monitor and I get very good results. Have had mixed buggy behavior with the green laser wrist sensor so I gave up on it. Overall I’m very happy with this combo at this price. To get comparable features from another maker would cost about double - and you’d have to like the user interface. But if accurate heart rate is important to you make sure you budget an extra $50 for a Bluetooth chest strap.
I’ve had these for 6 weeks now and I’m never looking back. I’ve tried Apple Watch just for the convenience of it pairing to my phone, but hate the lack of features and how often it does. Garmin felt frustrating and glamorous- nothing has updated in years. Coros is SO GOOD! Touchscreen that you can turn off. Find my phone. Gps is phenomenal. App is so easy to use and lots of info. I’m at 30% right now and that’s after not charging over a week, big 6hr hike yesterday and gym workouts every single day.The only drawback is sometimes when I rest or pause on a hike or run - it seems my hr gets stuck in a lower zone. I know my body and I know my hr has increased but sometimes it’s stuck for up to 5-10mins. Eventually fixes itself!
