Coros Performance Optimization Device (Pod) 2
Pod 2, from the brand Coros, is a lightweight and water-resistant sensor thatprovides hyper-accurate running data from your foot or your body movements. It connects to your Coros watch to provide real-time metrics, post-runinsights and an analysis of your running technique, so that you have the best informationduring and after your run. Pod 2 solves the most common problems with GPS watch technology, including datalag, weak signal and indoor inaccuracy. By tracking your foot movement, Pod 2improves accuracy and pace sensitivity to precisely track your performance in any situation. Interval training sessions are more effective with instant pace data, but GPS signals can suffer from a delay of up to 10 seconds. Pod 2 transmits accurate pace data from your foot, so that your watch's pace alert feature can help you stay precisely within your target pace zone. GPS technology does not work for treadmill workouts, and no watch can accurately record pace and distance on a treadmill on its own. Pod 2 solves this problem by automatically calibrating to measure your stride and transmitting accurate treadmill running data directly to your watch. Effort Pace is a metric unique to Coros that quantifies the effort you exert when running on hilly terrain. Pod 2 makes Effort Pace even more accurate and responsive than GPS by providing instant data to your watch. Are you a ground runner or an aerial runner? Attached to your belt, Pod 2 will help you find out by performing a simple and quick running technique test. The test results are designed to help you improve your technique and allow you to run more efficiently. Thanks to automatic button-free operation and secure attachment options on laces or on the belt, you can be sure that Pod 2 will perform until the end of your runs, even the most extreme ones.

Excellent accurate measurement, the battery and charge are perfect . I’d recommend for those runners that want to improve the pace and have a better data of the training
I already had the first Coros Pod. The version two is even more accurate. Don’t forget to check battery 🔋 level before you start a run 🏃♂️
I bought this device initially to verify the accuracy of the run data my treadmill generates and more accurately measure my actual pace. It does that brilliantly, but what it also does is give me so many insights into my actual running form (left/right balance, cadence, stride length to height ratio) and really completes the Coros platform for the most intelligent way to really understand your training progression. Highly recommend. Tried the 'Stryd' before this one, and the platform is far too complex and data heavy... Coros have found the right balance with this foot pod... not dumbed down in the least, but not amped up so high you'd need a degree in statistical data analysis to benefit from it. Targeted and purpose-built. Love it. The folks at Sherpa got it to me ... This little guy is actually pretty neat little piece of tech to accompany your Coros watch. If you’re like me and annoyed when you’re doing forms of intervals and you speed up and glance at your watch to see how fast your going, and it hasn’t even begun to change yet from your slower pace you just came out of! This alleviates that, and changes in speed/pace are almost instant which is really nice. I haven’t used it on a treadmill yet, but I would imagine it would be far more accurate than measuring from the wrist, so I’m excited to try that out. The battery life claims seem to be pretty spot on, and it’s nice they provide two clips for the sensor for your shoe so you can just keep it on shoes you wear normally for runs. The battery life claims seem to be pretty spot on, and it’s nice they provide two clips for the sensor for your shoe so you can just keep it on shoes you wear normally for runs. I also like that it actually measures and tracks the temp as your running which is helpful during the hot summer months. My only wish is that it would’ve been a bit cheaper. It should be like $69.99 or $79.99, because even with the pod 2, Coros is still lagging behind feature and overall experience wise to Garmin. The only thing they’ve got a firm strangle hold on at being the best at is battery life, and I’ve actually found their All Systems GPS setting to be even more accurate on known distance courses than I’ve gotten with my Forerunner 965 on Dual Band Frequency mode, so that’s actually kind of nice. I’ll take battery life and accuracy to be more important than some other features they won’t really offer right now. They definitely need to step up their mapping game, but I think they’ll get there!
