Absolutely incredible case overall. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Build quality is excellent and my build (5900X + 3070ti) runs almost silent because the airflow is so good that fans rarely have to ramp up. + Excellent build quality + Really, really good airflow. Seriously, it's in the name. My CPU's AIO and GPU fans only leave 0db mode when gaming or rendering, otherwise the PC is nearly completely silent + Looks gorgeous (subjective - check YouTube reviews to see for yourself) + Decently configurable + Great cable management, with multiple channels preinstalled and velcro straps in the box + Fits a lot of hardware - a fully modular PSU, two 3.5" drives, a 2.5" drive and a 2.5" fan/ARGB hub, 10 fans in my current config... plenty of space - Could've done ... MoreAbsolutely incredible case overall. I couldn't fit my Arctic 360 AIO on the top since it was blocking the motherboard heatsinks. The LFii 360 is known to be exceptionally thick, to be fair, but for such a massive case I would've hoped it would fit. I fit it in the front panel without issues, anyway - Could've done with off-centre fan mounting points on the top. This would've fixed the issue I had with my AIO and motherboard blocking each other. I've seen offset mounts on Lian Li cases before, so it's definitely possible for bigger cases. Small but annoying oversight from Corsair

I really liked the look and functionality of the 4000D, so the 5000D seemed like the logical choice. There are several upgrades in the 5000D vs. the 4000D. I like the additional space, especially the height as its far easier to manage cables with more clearance at the top of the case. The top mount for AIO placement is great as I wanted to do a push / pull configuration and this design works perfectly and looks great. There's plenty of RAM clearance as well. Having owned a 4000D, I knew the airflow would be very good and the 5000D has handled my overclocked i5-1600k well with load temps in the high 40's to low 50's. However my overclocked rtx 3080 has been running warmer and I think that's due in part to the extra distance between the front fans and the GPU. Speaking of fans, for a case at this price it's dissapointing to receive only two non RGB fans. I would have preferred no fans at a reduced price instead. I ended up using the two included fans pull fans on my AIO and they are quiet and efficient. I love the idea of using the side of the case to mount more fans, but for now I have kept the sheild in place which does a nice job hiding cables. Cable management in the back of the case is much improved over the 4000D with more channels to use the enclosed cable ties. And since I'm bad at cable management, the addition of a hinged door to hide my rat's nest of cables is excellent. I just wish the tempered glass side panel was hinged as well. The case construction is of good quality just like all the other Corsair products I own, I just wish the feet would have been a hair taller to promote more air flow from the bottom of the case. A couple other nit picking items. The hard drive cage was incredibly difficult to remove as the back screw was tough to access and had been tighetned far too much. And I wish the vertical gpu mount was not positioned so close to the glass as its virtually impossible to maintain a decent thermal in the vertical position. All in all im pretty satisfied with the case and it looks terrific! I do wish it was a bit less expensive but I like the look and quality of Corsair products so paying a bit more is worth it to me.

The 5000D Airflow is a durable case with terrific cooling and room to work, but there are several areas that are too small to fit cables through without bending them at precarious angles. In particular, the "shield" area that separates the back and front of the case is too small for comfort and ease of use. Especially with rigid power cables. You can technically remove it, but that throws aesthetics out the window and this is a glass-window case. Have a spinning disk hard drive? The area where those are housed is tiny and shares real estate with the PSU housing area. The PSU area is small (and tough to access) even without a spinning disk. With one, there's a chance it won't even fit. That area ends up being a rat's nest unless you have nothing but small custom ... MoreThe 5000D Airflow is a durable case with terrific cooling and room to work, but there are several areas that are too small to fit cables through without bending them at precarious angles. Easy First Build
14 March 2022

My wife said it was bigger than she expected, which is the first time I've heard that from her. She's right--this is definitely the biggest PC I've ever owned by a long shot. I don't necessarily think it's abnormal for a DIY desktop PC build in 2022, though, and the size is great for cooling. It also made my first PC build really easy, as I didn't have to fit my definitely very large hands into too many tight spaces. I have the black model, and it looks a lot different than the white version all of the internet reviewers have. That's not necessarily a bad thing; it's just quite dark on the inside when the panel is on and you can really only see your RGB on the inside even if you have it facing a light. Basically, ASRock wasted their time putting a logo on my graphics card. Or I need to just get RGB light strips if I want to be like the cool kids and display LEGO minifigures in my case. Overall the case is very aesthetically pleasing, though--it looks clean and can be customized in all sorts of ways if that's something you're into. There's a ton of room in the case for accessories and bling of all sorts, while the outside is big, black, and ready for business. Temperatures in this case are crazy low with my current hardware (5900x, 6600-XT); I plan to replace my graphics card with something hotter and faster when prices start dropping, so we'll see if anything goes above 70 degrees then. Nothing is now. I also only put fans on the front and top, leaving the exhaust fan on the back. I contemplated putting some on the side panel next to the motherboard just to fill all of the holes, but I'm glad I didn't because that would have basically been a wasted $60 as far as I'm concerned. The 7 fans I have keep things very cool and are probably already overkill.

Good Looking case with great airflow
28 September 2022

I bought this after my previous case started to show it's age with a failing power switch and some missing screws...The 5000D is a good looking case, with a solid build quality. It has mounting points for 3 120mm fans at the top the front and the side and even has a mounting for a single fan above the motherboard IO.There are lots of mesh panels so airflow can get to all of these fans and keep the components cool.I only had 2 issues with the case1. It says it accommodates 2 x 360mm radiators. This is true, but only just. The 12v CPU power connector on the motherboard is very tight, and keeping the cable away from the radiator fans was tough.2. Great Case, but a bit pricey.

I upgraded to the 5000D after finding out that the 4000D (also ordered from BB) was too small for my build. Overall, the case is great, very spacious. Being able to take the top cover off made building a lot easier. It was very convenient that Best Buy had this case is stock as I needed immediately; otherwise my build would have gotten delayed. The store I went to allowed me to exchange. Two downsides though, hence the 4 stars:1. It only comes with 2 fans. which for a case called "airflow" it would have been nice to have maybe 2 more fans at least.2. There's too many extra panels that I didn't end up using, like the backside comes with an internal hinge panel to cover up the cable management; another panel that covers up how cables are routed; there's also two ... MoreI upgraded to the 5000D after finding out that the 4000D (also ordered from BB) was too small for my build. There's too many extra panels that I didn't end up using, like the backside comes with an internal hinge panel to cover up the cable management; another panel that covers up how cables are routed; there's also two styles of PSU shrouds for the bottom front. All these seem unnecessary, which adds to the cost. Without them, the price point could have been lower in the $100 - $120 range.

Great case with a couple of minor issues

It really is a top quality case and was actually a pleasure to build with - it just has two drawbacks but they might not apply to you. The one most annoying to me is that there isn't enough clearance above the motherboard to top-mount a chunky AIO cooler like the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360. Well you can, but only in pull configuration but that is awkward to do with that cooler and less effective cooling-wise. I found this surprising given that the case is all about airflow and therefore designed for people who have cooling as a top priority. You can top-mount other 360 AIOs in push configuration though and I have successfully done it with the Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE 360. The second drawback is that, depending on your case configuration, there either isn't enough space to install the drive rack because of the space taken up by the PSU, or it's installable but very fiddly to do so. It's not impossible though, so do look at YouTube reviews to see if this will affect your build or not. I enjoyed building with this case and, the above caveats aside, I would heartily recommend it.

Not 5 stars! but why?

Corsair have made a decent case here however, for the price tag it seems a little low quality in many places. Where any of the fans are installed the material is aluminium and looks great but, it is super thin and bends very easily. I have had to hand tighten the screws and apply low pressure because of this. Also, we all love the satisfaction of peeling the wrap off of the glass but, the inside one just tears and rips, making it a nightmare for those of us with no nails! The case is extra roomy, and wire management is a dream, but the rubber grommets where the wires pass from front to back are terrible! Mine just kept popping off and getting them back on was a nightmare, I have left the bottom one off because i cant reach it as it is behind my GPU. Would I but it again, probably not no. I would look elsewhere to a manufacturer who delivers great quality with ease.

Roomy, Good looking, Quality Feel

Built a new computer in this case using a full size ATX mother board, RTX 3080, and an AIO liquid cooler for the cpu. The dual fan radiator fits well at the top of the case. Over all airflow seems good, but I might get an additional fan or two to increase airflow. That will be simple since there is a lot of places to add fans, or additional radiators.Definitely the best experience I have had with cable management when working on a computer. Good built in cable management, but there was a plate to the right of the motherboard that I know can come off to assist in routing, but couldn’t quite figure out how to get it off. Wasn’t hard to work around it and cables look great after completion.Little details on the case all feel great. There are filters on the front, top, and I think bottom that stay on with magnets that also have a little pull tab. Case screws are self retaining so you don’t have to worry about loosing them. Everything is painted well. Again, feels and looks high end.I would recommend this case to someone who:1. has some extra room to spare (since it is quite large)2. Wants to get maximum cooling on their pc with either fans or liquid or both3. Wants an easy routing experience4. Wants a great looking case.

Thought out case, Excellent Airflow

This case is the best case I have purchased ever since I've gotten into PC building. Well thought out design. Good cable management is hard if you use all fan slots like me plus 4 drives, each requiring 2 cables already (picture in images). But that's to be expected. Still thought out when it comes to cable management. Comes with at least a dozen velcro straps and even a 90° USB 3.0 motherboard connector. You can take out all side with ease and even modify the case to e.g. fit more drives etc.One downside is the HDD storage. I have to disconnect all my PSU cables in order to get the HDD's out again as they're crammed in the PSU channel. But as I will probably try to stick with SSD's in the future anyways this won't be a problem. One thing I was reluctant about as ... MoreThis case is the best case I have purchased ever since I've gotten into PC building. But as I will probably try to stick with SSD's in the future anyways this won't be a problem. One thing I was reluctant about as well is that it's the first case I got that doesn't have a CD/DVD drive slot. But as external drive readers exist I didn't care in the end.I mainly bought this case because after long consideration it seemed the best choice for good airflow. I don't want a waterbuild anymore as they're just too high maintenance. My previous case was absolute trash at aircooling (Thermaltake Tower 900) as it was mainly built for watercooling but said it should work fine with aircooling.I have 2x 140mm and 4x 120mm sucking air in now and 4x 120mm pushing air out. This creates an overpressure in the case which results in less dust buildup yet still sufficient airflow to get the hot air out.My previous temperatures of the GPU (RTX 3080Ti) and CPU (i7 8700k) compared to now are the following:GPU Stress Temperature Before: 89°C -> Now: 68°CCPU Stress Temperature Before: 82°C -> Now: 65°CI am quite literally getting close to watercooling level temperatures with an exclusively aircooled build.I recommend this product 100%
