Corsair stepped up the RGB scale. I'm not just talking about the usual RGB ring. The fact they included LEDs in the back on the base. I saw these back mid November on NewEgg and purchased 12 140mm on 11/16/2019. I do own 12 of the LLs in 120mm but these QLs hit the spot. The overall construction and design of these fans are great. These fans are made of solid plastic composite and are very sturdy. The rubber pads seem to be better than the LLs i have. The LLs rubber pads tend to pop off if the fan was tightened to tight. But the positioning of the QLs seems to be holding well and keeping any type of vibration at a zero. Lets talk about the back of the QL fan. Corsair really stepped up a notch in the RGB game. It is not boring. RGB can now be seen as if the fans were facing you. For all the RGB fan people out there, these are the fans to have. With great colors all around, it is hard not to pass these up. Plus the motor/fan blade supports are symmetrical. (If you own Thermaltake's Riing Trio, you'll know what im talking about, sry TT) But it gets better. They have their logo on the front and back. Metal mind you. Very very premium. The back logo seems more detailed than the front. You can feel the grooves made as you circle it with your finger tip. Caution though, the edge feels sharp so don't rub too hard on it. Just caress it. Bottom line, these fans perform. They are great quality with stunning colors and the iCue software helps bring them to life. As with every high quality case fan, these are not cheap. But if $$$ isn't a factor and you wanna replace your aging decrepit fans, go for the QLs. Even if these are out of your reach, the LL series are just the same only without the special treatment of their logo plus the rear RGB ring. Highly highly recommended if your goal for 2020 to build a new pc, get the QL series.

I love Corsair fans! I've never had a bad one or LED's go out. These QL designs with the outer rings really pop inside a case. Especially if you have multiple in the front of a big case. Other advantage is these are double sided! If your using as intake or exhaust - you get the inner and outer ring RGB.Con - Price, they do cost a lot compared to other fans in the market. However these do come with the adapter for the rgb.

If your searching to dress up your system while receiving very quiet cooling this is the way my friends. The RGB is brilliant with amazing side illumination to light up your tower and be ready for show. One major draw back though...the price, so if budget is your forte currently and air cooling your rig is to be the path taking and only need two well these are just way to steep for what other options you could take. But if looking to drop your wallet because well you can then let me just say an all liquid cooled system knocking around 10 of these fans like I have just done for a gentleman be ready to stop those in their tracks that aren't even interested in computers...from a long ways away. Enjoy there just beautiful and silent and my personal new favorite.

Aesthetically the fans are great. The airflow leaves a little to be desired at only 50.2 CFM other are better and cheaper. However to integration with iCUE and my other corsair products was the main reason for going with these fans in particular. I don't have a significant need for performance because my overclocking is moderate so to performance trade-off was acceptable for the seamless integration with my generally corsair build.
Bought this to replace a non RGB rear case fan that came with the case, at first just didn’t have the RGB working because I didn’t have a big enough fan hub, so I went from a 3-1 to a 5-1. All good, except Corsair doesn’t use a standard 3 pin RGB power connector. After doing some googling it is very clear that Corsair fans need to be used with their own Corsair controllers/hubs. This is fine, but it’s not advertised anywhere on this site. I blame Corsair not PCCG, but still, DO NOT buy a Corsair fan unless you’re already using corsair fans with their hubs. Lesson learned the hard way haha.
Quiet for 140mm. Aesthetically pleasing. iCue has SEVERAL options for their ARGB customization. Try to stay with QL series or ARGB lighting may be slightly different between fans, but the internal and external perimeters are customizable. Also, front and back lighting can be customized differently. Wish these had come in 3 packs.
This LED thing can get quite addictive for the bored PC builder working from home. I recently built new desktops for myself and my son and used Fractal Design cases for both (a Define 6 and a 7). Mine was an Intel build and my son's an AMD. Both have Asus mobos with Corsair AIO LED cooling. Corsair have an Asus plugin to control the motherboard lighting and GPU lighting if you have an ASUS GPU card. The Corsair iCUE software controls everything really well, including these fans, of which we now have about 6 or 7 between us. When they replaced the standard Fractal fans, which were already quiet, these were quieter and I can barely hear anything from my son's PC when it is on. I upgraded his GPU so I could have his Asus 2070S, but his new AMD GPU is an MSI, so the LED ... MoreThis LED thing can get quite addictive for the bored PC builder working from home. I upgraded his GPU so I could have his Asus 2070S, but his new AMD GPU is an MSI, so the LED on that is not in sync with the fans, mobo and cooler. Mine is though ;-) I think we have 5 or 6 140mm fans and 1 120mm one and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for both quietness and appearance. You may need the hub and a USB header on your motherboard if you are going to use a few of these in sync.
This is my first Corsair RGB fan. Unfortunately, not so good for me. I was hoping to use it with my ASUS ARGB header, and I still will. I just have had to purchase a conversion able as I don't own nor intend to own the Corsair FAN/RGB controller. This closed eco system is a rip off really. Great if you intend to go all our Corsair but I wish to mix and match various components that Corsair don't support, such as my Team Group memory and an UpHere GPU support with ARGB. Now I am moving to CoolMaster MF Halo fans. They work as good, if not better then these Corsair fans. They even support ARGB Gen 2, so now the Corsair eco system has no RGB advantage.
I tend to lean more toward the understated in my PC builds, and thus generally go with Noctua or be quiet! fans since their performance (and silence) is much more important to me than a lot of visual flash. However, I saw NZXT's Z-series AIOs with their customizable LCD pump heads, and knew I wanted to build a glass paneled rig to show that off. So, purchased a Lian Li O11 Dynamic, then decided with all that internal visibility, I might as well just make this newest PC a showcase PC and started hunting for fans worth showing off.I chose the QL120s primarily because they have RGB lighting on both the intake and exhaust sides, and knowing I'd be mounting them with the backs showing on two sides of the case, that was important to me. I also liked the idea of consolidating as much of the RGB and fan control under one manufacturer's ecosystem as possible, so these fans, coupled with some Corsair LED strips and the Commander Pro hub made a lot of sense.I was hesitant that these fans would be significantly louder than the Noctua and be quiet! fans I've always used in the past, and sure, when you crank them up to their highest RPM settings, it sounds like a small jet engine is sitting next to me. But just in my use instance - where I have three mounted on the top as exhaust, three mounted on the bottom as intake and three mounted on the side as intake on the AIO (more on that in a second), I keep them spinning around 50% of their capacity (so about 600 RPM) and they're virtually silent, all while keeping my CPU and GPU at temperatures in the mid-50s even under heavy load.Regarding the QL120s as an AIO fan - I've seen other tests and reviews knocking their performance in this use case, but I have three mounted on a 360mm radiator in a pull configuration, and they've done a better job of cooling than the stock fans from NZXT - and at a lower RPM. I pretty much leave them set at 550 RPM (so again, virtually silent), and my GPU has yet to sniff 60 degrees under load, and generally sits in low 40s otherwise. Also as I'd mentioned before, one of my primary considerations for purchasing these was the ability to control everything using Corsair's software via the Commander Pro (although you could also do it using the included Lighting Node Core and USB headers on your motherboard, but I wanted to consolidate wiring as much as possible), and though this isn't a review of the CP, I did just want to say that both it and Corsair's iCue software worked as advertised for me. There's a bit of a learning curve in iCue especially, but once you figure that part out, it's fairly easy to get these fans to do just about anything you could ever want them to do.So, in short, yes, these fans are expensive, but if you're looking for the best RGB eye candy on the market right now, they're worth it both for their looks and performance.
