I was looking forward for this serum to improve the discoloration in my skin from acne scars and dark areas in my face and neck. I used it consistently for a week, but got no result. My skin looks exactly the same as it did before I tried it. Maybe 1 week isn't enough and I have to use it for longer to see any results. I only used about 4 drops each time and it was surprisingly enough to cover my whole face and neck. That's a plus because it can last a long time that way. Even though you only need to use a small amount, it feels very watery. It's not "serumy" like what I'm used to. That sort of takes away from the fun as well as the nonexistent smell. I had high hopes for this Alpha-Arbutin 2 Discoloration Care Serum but it did not meet or exceed my expectations. This may have been my own fault for expecting it to be a miracle formula to cure my discoloration in my skin.However, after using this for 3 weeks I did notice some improvement and maybe after prolonged use it will be more effective.It’s easy to apply, absorbs nicely and has no noticeable scents that bothered me either. I did experience some slight stinging but I had some small wounds on my face from blemishes and ingrown eyebrow hairs so I assume that’s why.With that said, it did not irritate my skin or cause it to get red, inflamed or anything of that nature. To start I love the oval shaped serum head topper. It’s much easier to open and it’s different than all my other serums so it stands out in my skincare collection. This serum helped me so much with a recent post break out situation. After I had kinda popped all the pimples. I applied this serum and the next day I was actually shocked. I noticed that this serum is very thin and watery so I would recommend dropping a small amount on specific areas at a time and working it into the skin. It does have a terrible smell of almost onion and vinegar BUT this is only if you smell your hands. You literally cannot smell it while it is on your face. These must be the active ingredients so I don’t mind, just don’t smell your hands go straight to the sink and wash them.
