I just received these pair of sunglasses in the mail and they are by far my favorite pair of Costa’s. I have 4 pairs of Costa’s and the Aransas fits perfect for my face. I would compare the fit to the Rincon which I also have but there just a little tighter by ears but still are comfortable. If your looking at the Aransas for your fishing glasses they should work but they do let in a lot light on the side so sight fishing might be tougher but that’s why I have my Permits. I really bought these because I liked the story behind the Sunglasses since I do live near the Texas coast and I’m always in Aransas Pass and Port Aransas.

I have a longer narrow face and wanted sonething classic but with a deeper lens. These are both classic yet interesting and cooler then a wayfarer. I own both the sea kelp and ocean tort- i have to say the grey/green lens are the best ive tried- they work well in bright and low sun situations without making things look too dark which most lenses in this combo do. quality is really great and the acetate allows you to adjust to ur face! buy a pair-

Of all the brands I have tried, such as Fox, Oakley, Bolle, Ray Ban, the best lens, durability and frame so far has been that of Costas Del Mar. Once you put on some Costas and see the colors of the polarized lens you don't want to go back to other brands. The last polarized Ray ban I bought lasted a year(cost $160), bubbles came out of the lens and all the dark tint came out, the same happens with Oakley(cost me $100) and Fox (cost me $100) sunglasses. Not to mention that the frame of the Oakleys is not made to be on the beach like Costas. A comfortable glasses, you hardly feel that you have them on. my first Costas the model Tuna Alley is 8 years old with me , That particular model today has an improved frame, to which I bought that after 3 years of use in salt ... MoreOf all the brands I have tried, such as Fox, Oakley, Bolle, Ray Ban, the best lens, durability and frame so far has been that of Costas Del Mar. With the Costas guarantee they replaced the frame within a new one and until now 5 years later they are still intact. Now the Aransas would be my third Costas, this model in particular the colors of the frame and finish without mentioning the lens which is the best thing it has makes them elegant glasses for the daily use or beach.

Gorgeous color play in the frame when the light hits it with subtle sea green hues. The copper lens is my favorite Costa lens option and gives everything a mellow cool vibe. The frames are too big for me, so I will be exchanging for another ocean tortoise frame option from Costa off this site. I normally wear the medium narrow frames the best in Costa, so I was on the fence whether these would fit. I would definitely keep if my face wasn't so narrow.
I am a woman and these fit pretty well on me. They are absolutely beautiful and looking through the lenses is amazing. My only complaint is the nose area. I wish they had put nose pads on them. The weight of the glass lenses puts a lot of pressure on the bridge of my nose and they are heavy after a while. They slide down when I bend over as well but I am going to see if my optician can adjust them for me. I can't wait to try these out when I can un-winterize my boat and get back out to fishing with my husband!
Frame color and lens clarity are awesome. Slight negative is that there is not much curvature to the lenses. Sunlight at times can enter from the sides.
I’ve had these glasses for about two weeks now and absolutely love them. Living in Miami surrounded by people with high end designer sun glasses the Aransas set themselves apart from the rest. Which makes a lot of people who I pass on the street do a double take. I own two other pairs of Costa sun glasses for inshore and offshore fishing performance/protection. The Aransas are apart of my everyday attire. They fit comfortably and also snug despite not having any rubber nose or ear pieces. The hinges are the right tightness. Just an overall a great piece of eyewear. If you’re looking for versatile sunglasses that you can enjoy while out boating with your friends to going in town for a Sunday funday these will most certainly add a timeless look to your attire.
$99 on cyber Monday was a great deal. I own another pair of Costa and they also have the 580 glass lenses but with blue mirror. I prefer those because they are thick on the sides and more contoured so no light creeps in. I will wear these more for fashion than function. Some glare off the lenses from light coming from sides and behind. So I won't drive or fish with these, but ill wear them casually.
I recently purchased a pair of Shiny Kelp frame Aransas. I had prescription lenses placed in them and love the clarity of the RX lens. The frame just slightly darker than it appears on the website. I pondered over the decision to get the Aransas almost a year before buying them and purchased some Slack Tide’s ( also RX) prior to the Aransas purchase. I love the Aransas and have received several compliments about them. I highly recommend them.
I purchased these and fell in love with these lenses! I ultimately returned them because I looked like a dork in them and didn’t realize the face of the lenses were not tinted when I ordered them. Well made quality glasses!More about the lenses though, everything appeared bright and crisp. That being said, they weren’t bright in a way that hurt your eyes. amazing!
