We needed a solution to our much too crowded kitchen cabinets. We purchased this Giantex Kitchen Island Cart Rolling Storage Trolley just before the holidays last year so we could store our baking pans, tins, and casserole dishes. The trolley offers four inner compartments that are roughly 14 inches deep by 17 inches wide by 12 inches high when the shelves are placed in the central position. This space was just about enough for us to place all of our baking tools. The wood top is 17 inches deep by 37 inches long and offers ample room to roll out dough or use as a buffet for serving our baked goods. The cart's wheels have kick locks so you can place the trolley just about anywhere in the kitchen or dining room and securely lock into place. I am giving this trolley four out of five stars because it is billed as a kitchen island and it is much too small for our kitchen. In a small kitchen it would probably be too big and in an average size kitchen it would probably also be too small. I think it serves best as a rolling buffet option during large family gatherings and an extra baking space during the holidays. Perhaps its best feature for us is that we have now organized our baking utensils and can keep them together in one space and roll them out during peak baking seasons.

The only negative point I would offer is that the drawer slides are rudimentary plastic runners. It would have been worth a few bucks more to have metal drawer rails; but the ones included are working fine and the drawers are carrying the weight of my utensils. Overall, this is a quality piece for the price.

Upon final assembly our doors did not line up. Here is why and how to avoid this. First off all the predrilled holes are spot-on, computer aided machining. Problem came attaching the back. these holes are not predrilled an we simply leaned into the screw-driver. Unknowing the cabinet was slightly skewed. So do this. Attach the hinges to the sides while they are flat on your work surface. Install the back panels into the dado of the top and secure with one screw in the upper left panel, and one in the lower right panel just to hold them in. Do not install casters yet as we have a tile floor and it's easier to square up with base spread over several tiles. Hang the doors. you can tug from corner to corner to perfectly align the doors. Then using a tiny bit to pilot drill the back panel lock in the remaining corners, assuring the doors remain aligned. Add a couple on screws down the middle, and continue back and forth until your done. One last note, glue in the pins for the shelf's, first time I removed my stand mixer one fell out. I think I will also use a slip sheet under that mixer to ease getting it out.
