I’ve not bought black clothing from CR before (I don’t wear the colour), but I was surprised at how many loose threads were in this shirt. Caught in the side seams, the collar and along the yoke, I’ve never experienced this before. A lot of colour came out in the first wash too, so the first wear it wasn’t black-black. Finally, a normal ironing (like all CR shirts in my wardrobe) made the fabric slightly shiny.
Middle of the road shirt that most brands produce. Price is super high for what it is (and where it's made). MUJI and Uniqlo oxfords are similar if not better quality for 2/3 the cost.
Material is thin. Fit is boxy. No good for skinny people.
Looks great on my husband. The perfect smart casual shirt that is a greatnall rounder.
I own several Oxfords from CR and I’m sorry to say that the quality of this one, compared with my others, is significantly diminished. When I compared this one to my navy shirt of the same style, the navy is just so much better. The fabric on this black one is thin and feels cheap in comparison. The stitching is of poor quality as well, and I’ve already had to cut several loose threads. Sorry CR but this one is a disappointment. I’m not sure what you’ve done differently here, but please go back to producing the really high quality Oxfords I’ve bought in the past.
This feels like my new favourite shirt - and it's only the first day I'm wearing it. Good sizing, good styling and cut. Would definitely buy more.
Really great shirt, so good I've purchased it in both the navy and black. Looks stylish with the CR stretch chino shorts or dark jeans and RMW boots...........versatile threads and perfect light cool fabric for summer. Well one CR I'll be giving these shirts some serious wear time over the Christmas.
