Cover girl is one of my favorite Drugstore beauty brands, normally it good quality products affordable prices. I wanted to love this Foundation but I ended up feeling kind of "meh" about it. I bought the color that appeared to match my skin the best (L3) but ended up being to a little too light. So, I saved it to use during the winter months. I would say that it provides light coverage, but blends alright. It's possible to build up the coverage to almost medium. I feel like it doesn't really cover any impurities like redness, or an uneven skintone. I have a couple dark spots from horomones a little scar on my cheek that looks like a little cut (a horizontal line) that this foundation doesn't conceal at all. If your looking for a foundation with light coverage then I would definitely suggest this to you. But if you need/want med-full I definitely don't suggest this. Some things that I do like about this foundation is the packaging, and the pump that makes application a little easier than a foundation that doesn't have one. Though I probably wouldn't buy this again, I still use it one days that I feel like doing a quick look with light coverage. I also wanted to mention that it doesn't last the whole day for me, I can apply this in the morning (when using a primer, powder setting spray) and a couple hours later it starts to separate look blotchy on me. Another issue I have with it, is that it's too drying, I even made sure to use a moisturizing primer (I always do my skin care routine including moisturizer, before applying this.) With all these con's and very little pro's I just can't give this foundation a good rating, so 2 stars is appropriate. (Though this foundation wasn't a good match for my difficult skin, doesn't mean it wouldn't be good enough for others as we all know sometimes a product will suck for one person be amazing for another)

I will start by saying I typically use professional quality foundation. I went to a local Lawton’s as I was desperate for a foundation. I believe I spent 13 dollars and some change on TRUblend in the shade L1, the new “Ivory” packaging/name. The cosmetologist told me it was “so good” and insisted I get this foundation, and helped me find the perfect shade. I couldn’t believe how well it matched my skin tone, I was blown away. I made my purchase and got home excited to do my makeup! I applied it with my beauty blender (barely damp) and will say the shade is exact. But it is the worst, wateriest foundation I have used thus far. With only a few light touches with my blender across my cheek it transformed into a mess. Every single tiny red vein and minuscule sun spot was still clearly visible on my skin, although it did make my skin appear very flat with an absence of colour. Like I hadn’t seen sun, used moisturizer, or slept in days. Do you remember Francis from Fairly Odd Parents? ...yeah. It will also crease in every telescopic winkle you could find on yourself within the time it takes you to blink. After 20 minutes, you will find yourself with caked creases and your bare skin shining through. I’ve tried to use it many times with different primers, no primer, settings sprays and powders, it is just a bad formula. You can’t actually use this foundation. If Covergirl could recreate it with a tougher body, I think this could be a decent foundation. I also really like that they have new darker shades their old ones looked muddy, but I’m willing to bet the quality is just as bad for those shades as well. You are better off using nothing than TRUblend foundation.

Better pressed powder than the high-end brands
28 January 2022

i've been wearing this since high school in the 70s/early 80s, and I keep coming back to it no matter how many high-end brands of pressed powder I've spent loads of money on over the years. This one is simply my favorite. It gives me the nice matte finish that I love and provides more of this desirable matte coverage than "better" brands. For everyday wear I use a concealer, blush, and this powder. This has been my routine for decades - I'm 59 now and this powder still works for me. My skin is a real combination of dry, normal, and oily, and I don't have a problem with this powder settling in my lines and wrinkles, or looking chalky or patchy. And yes, it has a distinct smell. Have used this makeup for years!
8 February 2023

Covergirl Clean Powder Makeup has been my "go to" concealer...it goes on light and smooth, unless you want a heavier base, youd just put more on pad. I tend to sweat from my face when its warm indoors or outside or when Im excited about going somewhere but I feel like my makeup stays on relatively well! A touch up after a few hours is always good, so I take it with me everywhere! My color is Creamy Beige and about a year ago or more, it was a very difficult color to find in stock at most stores i shop at online. So I hope CoverGirl doesn't take it off the line of colors! I also think the color you see online is pretty accurate to the actual color of makeup when you receive it. I would recommend buying this powder makeup. Worth every penny!!

I love this product

I have under eye bags. This product is great! You don't need to shake the bottle to mix it! You only need a tiny amount to cover your face and maybe the neck. It covers everything, all the uneven places and skin decolorations flaws etc...I love this product! Most products are like cover! They don't cover not much even if you put a ton of layers!

Shades Not The Same Between Different Lines
3 April 2022

First off I will say the formula itself is great, my problem is with the color. I have been using warm beige (M20) in the Trublend Matte Made line forever but they stopped selling that shade in stores! I saw they had warm beige (L7) in this hydration line so assumed it was the same, since it's the same color name, and probably just a different color code because of the number of shades available in this line. They are not the same! In my photo my usual M20 is on the right, the L7 on the left, both called warm beige but you can see this one has a more yellow undertone instead of pink. They look pretty identical in the bottle but definitely not the same so buyer beware, you can't go between lines based on the color name I guess. Please put my regular shade back in stores!

Sheer perfection!
24 March 2023

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect foundations for my normal to dry mature skin. This foundation came highly recommended by Julie Page Morgan on TikTok. I can see why that is.The foundation has no detectable scent. It is lightweight, hydrating, and blurs pores and texture. It feels like I’m wearing nothing at all. It also sets down after application which eliminates the need for powder—yet another plus. And all this for less than $10? Absolutely astounding!

Very skin like look
28 July 2022

I love this foundation. Started using it about a month ago and it looks so skin-like, the most skin like than other foundations I’ve used. It has a slight dewy finish, which I love. I‘ve been applying it with my fingers and sometimes there are lines that I have to blend in better, I may try a beauty blender. Perfect shade too but I may try a bit lighter in the winter. Cons-no spf but maybe that’s why it looks so good.

Worst Foundation Ever!!
27 April 2022

I bought this foundation while I was out picking up my prescriptions at a local Walgreens as I was completely out of foundation. It was my fault for not reading the “natural finish” labeled on the package. However, when I went to use the foundation, it instantly turned to a water-like substance. The longer the foundation stayed on my face, the worse the “hydration” became. I have naturally red skin and the foundation just rejected the red parts of my face. As I tried blending it with a damp beauty blender, the foundation completely came off. The foundation is super unblendable. I tried using a foundation brush to reduce the amount of absorption; however, it just created massive streaks and eventually rubbed ALL of the foundation off. I also had to use so much product just to try and build some coverage. Safe to say I WILL NEVER purchase this EVER AGAIN!!
