I wanted an air purifier in order to reduce odors and dust in my home, and too improve it’s air quality. I believe the COWAY AIRMEGA 150, has done just that. This model is compact and unobtrusive, lightweight and portable, stylish, and uncomplicated to set-up. The purifier has good airflow, easy touch controls, a fairly long cord, and filters that are simple to put in. Additionally, it has filter change and intuitive air-quality indicators with a light that can be turned on or off. I love the auto mode which adjusts the speed of the machine according to the air quality. Moreover, the purifier probably won't disturb your sleep since it runs very quietly on all but the highest setting. The cute sage green color matches well with my home decor. I researched brands ahead of time and based upon research,Coway seemed like an excellent choice for a small space. My space is larger than an apartment but the rooms are on the smaller side,And some of the smaller rooms have furniture that leaves less room. The purifier does an amazing job of cleaning quickly, the auto feature is very useful so that I can let it adapt to the quality of the air it is scanning and detecting.Based upon being confident in this product I will be encouraged to keep using purifiers, and I’ve so far been very happy with this model and brand.

This is the first time I have ever used an air purifier. My review may be skewed a bit because I have nothing to compare it to. So, first impression the color is great I actually chose the green its like a soft mint green beautifully colored. The unit itself is not heavy nor bulky it is a perfect size for my master bedroom. The buttons are simple low, medium, high and auto. The Auto setting is good as it detects more particles it auto moves to the higher settings have then turns down once they have diminished. Not a good setting however when I sleep. I'm a Mom of and have that Mom radar so any loud noise I wake up. It's not that loud not a jet engine but louder that a celling fan on high and when it goes on and off at an given chance then it wakes me up. I just ... I just leave it at the low setting at night and you can't even hear it super duper quiet. I do have allergies and I think its working. I wake with less crust in my eye. I have had it for about 2 months now the filters look really easy to replace not a complicated at all which I like and there are three. So, far so good I'm looking to possibly getting one for the main living area but I need one of the bigger models.

The moment I turned my Coway Airmega 150 air purifier on, I noticed a huge difference in the air quality in my bedroom. This air purifier features three filters: pre-filter ( can be easily washed off), deodorization filter, and the green true HEPA filter. The pre-filter stops large dust particles incl. hair, deodorization filter traps odors, and green filter reduces airborne particles.Below are the things I like about this air purifier:1. It is very quiet ( when operates on 1 or 2 ); it gets louder once on the third speed.2. It is lightweight( i have it on the nightstand next to my bed)3. Powerful enough for a master bedroom4. Pre-filter is washable, deodorization filter has to be replaced every six months, and the green filter has to be replaced once ... The air-purifier has a sensor that adjusts the speed of the purifier according to the air quality6. Air quality indicator changes colors according to the quality of the air7. There is a filter replacement indicator that lights up when your filter needs replacementThe only thing that I disliked about this air purifier was the instructions booklet it came with. There were no details describing the colors of the air quality indicator. I had to go online to figure out what every color means. Also, the directions didn’t say that the air purifier goes to a very low-speed mode( when running in the auto mode) if air quality remains clean for a while.Overall, the Coway Airmega 150 air purifier is an excellent purifier for one room. It is way quieter than my old one!
So far I’ve been very disappointed with this air purifier. I first turned it on auto, and found zero difference in dust levels or kitchen odors from cooking. So I set it on level 2 and the difference truly is only marginal. It lives about 10 feet from my stove and does not at all remove cooking odors from the air. My coffee table, also about 10 feet away, continues to quickly accumulate a layer of dust although it’s slightly less thick than before. I would not buy one of these again. I do like how quiet it is, but I guess that’s pointless if it’s not cleaning the air very well.
It seems to be good overall.Design:First and foremost, no ionization. So no ozone to worry about. Second, this does have a carbon filter to help with smell, but luckily there's a micro filter AFTER the carbon filtration stage to minimize the risk of carbon particles floating around. Third, the air intake on this unit is on one side only. It might seem bad at first, but then you realize the other side without an intake can face the wall and won't waste suction power. Best used along walls - it would look weird if you just put it in the centre of a room.Settings:Very silent on setting 1 that you actually might hear a pin drop. My small condo does not absorb sound well, so I can say for sure it's quiet. It wont filter much at this setting but at least its ... Best used along walls - it would look weird if you just put it in the centre of a room.Settings:Very silent on setting 1 that you actually might hear a pin drop. My small condo does not absorb sound well, so I can say for sure it's quiet. It wont filter much at this setting but at least its running.Setting 2 is still relatively quiet, similar to background vent noises in a library. Filters a bit more than 1 but 1 isn't strong at all.Setting 3 (max) is as loud as having an actual fan in the room. Strongest circulation, and what I use when cooking. Pretty good at helping minimize smell along with your regular oven fans (if you maintain the carbon filter).Auto Setting: never tried it, probably never will. I'd rather keep it running than have it turn on only when it's sensors detect dust. If you want it to catch germs/viruses in the air, no sensor will detect that, so it's best to just let it run since it's fairly quiet on settings 1 and 2 anyway. I also live in an apartment/condo building so with hallway air circulating into my unit, it's best to leave it running. One quirk about picking settings is that it's always sequential: you have to cycle through speeds instead of just selecting one speed directly. It's ok going from 2-3 but annoying going from 2 to 1 since you have to go 2 3 auto 1. The chime sound when changing settings is cute though. Not too loud but enough to know you changed something.Nightlight:Don't expect it to light up your walkway: it's a quaint light blue nightlight that only serves as a beacon to find it in the dark. The blue light might mess with your cicadean rhythm, so in most cases, it's best to turn it off. FYI It's not a blue laser - it's a gentle soft blue light with a shade between baby blue and teal.Filter Maintenance and filter replacement:Instruction says to vacuum the outside of the intake every 2 weeks or so to minimize changing. Easy enough if you have a good duction vacuum with a cleaning brush. Haven't gotten around to changing filters yet, but prices so far appear to be comparable to other filters, if not slightly more expensive. But replacing it appears to be relatively easy after initially setting up the filter the first time.Portability:It's not really meant for portability but easy enough to move between rooms. It's almost exactly like bringing a box fan. It's not impossible, but don't let your child do it either. (Don't let your child carry this thing unless they're early teens and won't break it)Price:Always hoping it would be cheaper. It was more expensive than the other low end air purifiers out there but at least there's no controversy of false advertising (as of writing this review). You gotta pay for quality, I guess.Summary:Pretty good all around. Quiet. And seems to work. You'll probably need 2 of these to cover a 950 sq ft apartment unit. I do occasionally see some dust balls near the intake of the unit every couple of weeks so that's probably a sign that it's working.
This air purifier is small but mighty. We put it in the bathroom to help with the cat litter dust on the surfaces and the cat litter smell. It has done a fantastic job! We have had significantly less dust and zero cat litter smell since we started using it. My daughter used to cough from the dust every time she scooped the litter. She hasn't coughed a single time since we've had the Airmega 150. Solid product! You won't regret it. I have seen previous reviews where other people have had issues with the power button - we haven't had any.
Beyond my expectations! This Coway Airmega 150 air Purifier is sleek, quiet, and pretty. The sage green blends beautifully with my living room decor. It's not bulky and takes up little space. It covers 214 sq ft, so it can handle a nice size room. I have two extremely large Maine Coons cats and their hair is all over the place, not to mention dander and pollen as well. As soon as I turned it on, I could feel the difference in the air quality. It wasn't stifling. My cousin just had lung surgery, and I wanted to bring her over for a few hours, just to get out of her house since the surgery which was 3 weeks ago. I needed to clean the air for her since she's on oxygen tank wherever she goes. Well, this is perfect for her, so she doesn't breath in my kitties dander or ... MoreBeyond my expectations! I needed to clean the air for her since she's on oxygen tank wherever she goes. Well, this is perfect for her, so she doesn't breath in my kitties dander or any dust mites. With a soft touch it turns on, adjusts from low, medium, or high or you can use auto, which it works according to the air quality in your living space. It has a triple filtration which means it catches all forms of pollutants. It has the energy saving logo, which means it won't run up your electricity bill. I love that it's silent. I definitely have to get one for my bedroom. It has a reminder when to replace the hepa filter, and the regular filter is washable. Just make sure to let it dry completely before putting it back into the purifier. I definitely recommend this to friends and family and anyone who wants to breath fresh air. This is especially perfect during this pandemic era, which helps to clean the air in your house to avoid bacteria and viruses. That doesn't mean you can bring anyone and everyone into your living quarters. It helps protect you in your own house. I love it!
Beautifully designed air purifier. Looks great in our space. Automatic mode is what we mostly use, and we love the machine capabilities. Easy to setup, easy maintenance. Is a bit loud on full mode (when our air is dirty - gas stove or something has been running), but generally, the machine is very quiet and almost not noticeable.
I really love the look of this purifier. And I think it's a great deal. But, there's something wrong with the button build. Mine on/off button doesn't always respond to touch. Sometimes it just won't respond at all and in order to turn it off I have to unplug it. That makes me worry about the product in a few years.
