Cra-Z-Art Retro Magna Doodle, Magnetic Drawing Toy

This item was wet when I received it. The box was completely warped and coming apart. It looks like an old item that was in storage. It was in a plastic bag, but the plastic bag was not securely closed or the bag wasn’t waterproof. Now I have to go thur the trouble of returning. I joined this plan to avoid going into the stores. AUGH!

Broke in less than 2 months

We got this for our 2 year old at the end of September 2021. We're now in November 2021 and it has already broken. It no longer erases the board. Not even a whole 2 months and we can't use it anymore. My husband took off the back to try and fix it but the thing to slide and the thing that erases have broken apart. My 2 year old loved it and still tries to use it, but she can't as there's no clean board to draw on. I'm so disappointed. I wish I could give 5 stars because my daughter loves it, but the fact it broke so quickly is just not okay.

Can't go wrong with this one!

My toddler loves this toy. He draws pictures and uses the stamps all the time. We also use it for educational stuff like phonics and math. He got it for Christmas last year and is still playing with it almost a year later. My only issue is one of the stamps fell apart and neither stamp stays in place on the board for storage. They’re easy to lose.

Cheap quality

Bought this for my 2 year old and she and my 3 year and of enjoy playing with it, but I have to say the quality of the toy is kind of bad. The plastic and construction feel cheap. It’s lightweight, but the drawing area easily buckles when you push down to draw. It also doesn’t draw very dark. We have 2 mini versions (different brand) that we got as party favors and those draw a lot better than this one.

Fantastic, Fun Toy/Educational Aid

Thought about getting our autistic grandson an etch-a-sketch. We were afraid having to use the knobs might become frustrating. Then I saw the Magna Doodle! Being able to use a stylus was an absolute blessing. He can draw, write his alphabet, write numbers, do anything he wishes! This toy will be an absolutely amazing gift for any little guy!

Kids Love It

Our family has been playing with the Magnadoodle for a couple of weeks and both my five and two year olds love it. We leave it out and the kids always gravitate toward it. I like that it's mess free and easy to transport. Once it sat in our hot car for an hour and was not effected at all. It's nice and large, and I like that the pen is attached with a string; unfortunately we have already lost both of the shape stamps, but we have figured out we can use some number magnets we have to create math problems on the board. I docked a star because the shape stamps are somewhat small and feel cheap, and the board actually dips and waves a little bit. This doesn't impact our use of it though.

Nostalgia!

If you want to bring back the toys of your childhood for your children, this is a great place to start! This toy is very nostalgic, and brings back great memories from childhood. It is a great size, bigger than a lot of comparable products on the market. It seems to be made decently, it isn’t flimsy or light, it seems pretty solid. It works well, but not as great as I remember. Then pen works great, and the erase function works well, but when it comes to the stamps, they don’t work as well. It could be that they don’t have as strong of magnets as they should. I was also disappointed that the stamps are much smaller than I remember. These are maybe in between the size of a dime and a nickel. Not the same, but still a good toy

I bought a Magna Doodle for our nearly 2-year-old granddaughter because our now 23-year-old had one when she was little. It was one of her favorite toys. I remember what the old one was like, so I would rate this new one 3 stars; however, our granddaughter would probably give it 5 stars. She loves it. The new one just seems cheaply made. The eraser slide is difficult to operate. The MD comes with 2 little stamps that are definitely a choking hazard. We only let our GD play with them under close supervision. Otherwise, they are kept high on the refrigerator since they are magnetic. The stylus is less of an issue because it is tethered to the board. There is a picture on the box of a MD board mounted next to a telephone as if to be used to take messages. Vintage look but very cheaply made

Giving a 2-star rating for quality. We’ve used various models of Magna Doodles for years and replaced our old ones Christmas 2021 with these cute retro versions because of how the screens on our old ones had degraded with age. These Magna Doodles are not solid. The blue plastic is a hollow shell, and within the first week, someone stepped on one and the circle magnet holders snapped in, so they can’t hold the magnets any longer. The pen on the second was the next thing to snap. We taped it. Now, undoubtedly after some vigorous play, the red eraser slide is broken on one, so it does not erase anymore. They lasted us 6 months, vs the several years we got out of our last set. These look vintage but have a very cheap quality.

confused!... shrinkflation?

purchased the $17.00! toy at my local walmart. I didn't know i was investing in magnetic choking hazards.the little magnet shapes... why are they JUST big enough to fit in and get lodged in a little ones esophagus? when i was little, the magnet shapes were too big to put in your mouth, let alone accidently swallow.... 🤔had to throw away half the toy...
