Was about to spend $100 on a "known brand" when i saw this. Attached to my 14.4V Cordless drill and started cutting corrugated Colourbond in situ to make cleaning the gutters easier and it was like a hot knife through butter! One of those (rare) jobs that was easier than i thought it would be.

I don't normally write reviews, but wanted to help out others who may be on the fence about how to cut a hole in their corrugated (colourbond) roof.I was not sure about the product, I'd previously been looking at the other drill attachment nibbler from Bunnings (more expensive) and was about to push the button when somebody posted a negative review. So I decided to give this one a go as it was cheap and had a few good reviews.Attached to a battery powered drill it did a great job of cutting a hole for a new flue pipe I had to install. Really happy I didn't hire a professional tool for the job or spend more money. Mates and others online made me doubt these drill attachments but, for what I needed to do, it was the perfect choice.

Used on corrugated zincalume. Takes a few cuts to get the knack. NOTE: produces small, and sharp circular shards. Be VERY careful. Wear protective gear, and clean under cutting area thoroughly. Ideally have paper or cardboard matting to catch, wrap and dispose.

Really great tool for doing shapes but after extended use the nibbler heats up and the discharge area jams. You can clear with a thin screw driver but the more you use it the more it jams up and eventually it will seize. Then you can swap to the other side and the same thing will happen. I find it cant cope cutting rusty corrigated iron.
Good reliable tool. I used it with a cordless drill which was a bit slower but there were no problems with overheating nor jamming. Cut corrogated iron and sheet metal easily. Good value for money for a small job.
Partner bought this for me to complete my corrugated iron horse shelters (Id been going to go back with an angle grinder later to cut the sloped tops). Man, I wish I'd got it way before. It is noisy. It is a bit wobbly (but thats the operator, not the tool). The trick is that it needs to be at a 90angle to the top of the surface at all times. So for corrugations, your angle needs to alter in line with the sheet. The only thing I would prefer, is that the cutting end was a fraction longer; it does tend to be a bit awkward following the corrugations as it brings the drill component too close. But, if you pop a timber under the centre of your iron sheet so it has an overall curve, you can usually flex it enough to allow your tool to cut. Im not sure how it will go on the sharper shapes of corrugation profiles. Ive completed 2 shelters now on the original cutting bit (hope I can remember where I put the spare when I need it). As mentioned on another review, it leaves sharp little crescent slivers; I use the back of my ute as the work bench and my cuttings land on a sacrificial tarp beneath. I'd be better off getting a soft solid rubber mat for future jobs.
I could not keep it in a straight line. It wobbles too much. Seems to be unbalanced, maybe I grabbed a dud. Wasn’t impressed at all. Comes with two cutter blades, the first one only lasted 30cm. I imagine if you really want a proper nibbler your going to have to pay around $400-$550 for a dedicated tool.
Bought the Craftright nibbler attachment to cut a quantity of fencing iron sheetsIt took a while to get a system in place to cut accurately. Did a lot of lengthy cuts, no problem. Got better with each sheet. Trimmed up rough patches with tin snips. Better result for me than angle grinder
It works well for flat sheet metal, or for cutting along the length of Colorbond sheets (parallel to the ribs). However, it couldn't cut ACROSS the ribs of Colorbond sheets - which is the main reason why I bought it. I ended up using an angle grinder instead.This problem could probably be overcome if only it was able to cut by moving the tool across (left to right). As it is, the tool will only cut by pushing it forwards, and because the length of tool + drill is quite long, you can't get the angle required to "climb up" the ribs (without making a messy cut or bending the ribs).Anyway, I'll keep it in the shed and it may come in handy one day for easier jobs.
Brilliant little tool! I'm using it to cut irregular shapes out of 1mm copper sheet. Just make sure you have a wide container underneath the job to collect the cuttings, as they're razor sharp and imbed themselves into everything they contact...including your feet...ouch!
