Our innovative Match System optimizes engagement for any MTB clip-in system whether that’s Crankbrothers or SPD. It comes with Match shim and Crankbrothers cleat pre-installed in a neutral position so they are ready to ride with Crankbrothers pedals right out of the box. Match Box The ramped cleat box offers easy front and rear pedal entry and mud shedding. I originally purchased the green version of these shoes without the BOA. I had them out of the box for a few minutes and realized the tongue pull wasn't stitched. It took over a week to contact customer service and a few emails for a response. I was offered a replacement or a multitool as compensation. But a few hours go by, and I receive a second email offering an upgrade to these shoes for my inconvenience. So, I jumped on that offer. However, after opening them, it is evident these are a return. Definitely worn outside. They fit, and I need bike shoes. It is what it is I suppose.

The shoes arrived today and I just got back from my first ride in them. Couldn’t be any happier! The fit was perfect, clipping in and out of the pedals (SPD) was super smooth and riding in them was better than I ever imagined. A special thanks to Sebastien and Nick at Crank Brothers for their help. Best MTB shoes ever!

After picking up a new short travel bike to focus on more technical climbing, I wanted a light, but durable shoe to pair with my Time Speciale pedals. This shoe is nearly perfect. Great fit, lightweight (even at size 12), and comfortable. The BOA system is quick and convenient. There's even enough room for me to put in my own orthotics. Great job CB.

I originally purchased the green version of these shoes without the BOA. I had them out of the box for a few minutes and realized the tongue pull wasn't stitched. It took over a week to contact customer service and a few emails for a response. I was offered a replacement or a multitool as compensation. Fantastic shoe! Fit is a narrow to regular as far as width goes with zero hot spots even on hike-a-bikes. Sizing was spot on. Most comfortable Clipless shoe to date. Perfect balance of stiffness and pedal feel with excellent toe flex to walk or hike up technical sections. So far have held up to multiple seasons in Arizona’s South Mountain system and show no signs of breaking down.
I have gone back and forth with flats and clipless, but have been mostly flats for the last few years. I decided to try these because I have some Mallet E pedals that my old clipless shoes did not feel stable on. These shoes feel so secure and supported that I've gone back to riding clipless primarily.I have short but fairly wide feet, and these are incredibly comfortable. They also don't feel as bulky as other enduro style shoes. Although they don't seem too breathable, my feet don't get hot. The cuff does a good job of keeping our grit as well.I liked them so much on the Mallet E pedals on my enduro bike, I got some Mallet trail pedals for my trail bike. I'll give this an average rating for now and may update it in the spring when they'll get a real test. They are super cute. I mean, it's a men's shoe but it's cute so ladies buy it. (Guys don't be put off. Only women will see it as cute shoe.) I'm a size 10 women's and got the 8 men's. Fits well. Has this super cool twist to tighten mechanism that is really brilliant. They are replacing my traditional road bike clip shoes that were velcro. This tightening mechanism is way better. Now it came with the wrong clips for me (didn't see an option) so I have to get clips that work on my bike, which I haven't gotten yet. And it's sad because the clips that came with it are really petty too. I got them for a no clip E-bike ride I'm doing next week in Napa! Love these shoes. Crankbros nailed the design of their shoe line. I bought these based on my pair of the stamp Boa for flats. The stamp and mallet shoes are comfortable and very supportive. Not a grippy as some others, but all you need. Love the additional strap to make you feel locked in. Hate that no other brand uses these for flat shoes. For the mallet clipless, the boa system adds additional support for your whole foot so your getting the most out of your strokes, the shoe has toe structure to keep you from slamming a rock, but not over done so the shoe is light and comfortable for long rides or all day park laps. The boa is out of the way and has stayed solid even after crashes or bumping against trees etc. Amazing shoe at a now reasonable price compared to the ... MoreLove these shoes. Love this shoe. Nice snug fit, light weight, great sole for hike a bike, and a really nice closure/boa combination. I have been riding the Mallet E BOA for nearly 2 years and they are my favs. After spending a week in Pisgah with these, I think they just jumped to the top of my list. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up, will post again in a year. Looking for a comfortable shoe that works really well in all situations, don't hesitate on this purchase. Good job CB!
These are really tight on me. My work shoes, trainers, walking boots etc are all size eight and fit fine. These are more like a seven. Wore them for a short while to see if they bedded in but they didn’t. Unfortunately I now can’t send them back as they show slight signs of wear. My fault at the end of the day as I should have ordered three sizes for comparison, but I got cocky.Reason for 2 star review is that the website clearly statesTrue to fit but this is just not the case
The shoes are too narrow. Feet expand. I'm on my feet all day. Feet expand. I have older Pearl Izumi shoes with two straps and a ratchet buckle. They're not perfect but work. I would have to go from my 10.5 size to 11.5 Crank Brothers shoes. That's too much toe space. Get sizing right for the human foot or stick to pedals andbars.
