Crayola 12 Twistables Crayons

$6.00

(2,041 reviews)

Crayola Twistables Crayons are a great option for kids who love to draw. These crayons have brilliant colours and a smoother laydown than traditional crayons. They require no sharpening or peeling of paper label, resulting in less mess. The 6mm thick strong Non-Toxic leads are protected in the plastic barrel, meaning there is little or no waste and the crayon can be used to the very end. The crayons are soft enough to blend yet hard enough to resist wear, making them perfect for young artists. They are also safe and Non-Toxic, suitable for children aged 4 and above. The pack includes 12 crayons in a variety of colours, making them ideal for classroom use or for kids to use at home.

These are GREAT crayons for traveling, to toss in a backpack or diaper bag, or if you have kiddos who push a little too hard and have trouble with “breaking” crayons…because they are extra durable! However, if you have a kiddo who loves to color and is a little particular about staying in the lines, these might not be for you. They twist so they stay sharp! But…”sharp” is really fairly rounded/blunt/dull. So! If you love a good strong point, this crayon is not for you. But! If you’re just looking for a strong, beautiful, true to color, long lasting crayon and you know that it’s ok to color outside the lines- then give these a go! They’re pretty great! #crayloatwistables

They’re like a mix of a colored pencil and a crayon. Not too hard and not too soft. I like these the most for children or beginners as they’re hard to break require zero sharpening you just twist them up as you go. These are usually my go too I highly recommend trying these before purchasing pencils or crayons.

A great product. I really liked it.

Being that as it may, I used this product about two weeks ago and was very pleased with it so I let my kids use it (under my supervision of course) to see if it was "kid proof" needless to say it was. Which was a real surprise to me because I was kinda worried about the hard plastic body of the twistable hurting the kids hands (It was kinda hard for me to hold on to it but I chalked it up to being because my hands were bigger than a child's. Now I didn't give this product a ten because I didn't really like that even if you reused them there would be left over residue from the last crayon so sometimes the colors mixed together a little bit. It was a big disappointment when my yellow sun had a very large streak of blue in the middle. I also noticed that as time goes on they get a little harder to twist so buyer beware of that. Overall however it was a really good product and serves its purpose. The children I watch also really enjoyed it (their ages are: eight, four, ten and two).Env: development

Crayola Twistables Crayons

Env: developmentThe most amazing product for young kids who love to color and draw! This past year my 4 year old was entering PreK and the teachers asked us to send in a package of Twistables. I had never even heard of these before and wondered why wouldn't they want young kids to use regular crayons. Well first of all these are virtually unbreakable! They never need to be sharpened, and there is no messy wrappers for the kids to peel off. Again, I wanted to know why the teachers preferred these over crayons. My son's teacher said these help the child learn to hold the crayon the proper way, not in their fist like so many do with crayons. I was absolutely astounded how quickly he learned to hold this the right way and how his coloring and writing skills improved. ... MoreEnv: developmentThe most amazing product for young kids who love to color and draw! Excellent pencil crayons, sturdy, with good colours.
14 August 2019

These crayons are very good, easy to use and with good colours and quality pigmentation. The pencil bits that roll up are thick enough that they would not easily break, too. Crayola always have quality items, I find. They have plastic barrels which makes them sturdy to take out with you in a bag, plus I think because the pencil lead bit is so wide, they would last a lot longer than normal wooden pencils. I suppose this does mean you can't get the accuracy or fine detail you could get with normal, sharpenable, pencils, but this doesn't exactly matter to my toddler.

Great crayons & fab value

Great crayons, the pigment is lovely and they’re really nice to use. We have a couple of packets and take one in a backpack for when we’re out with a colouring book for some entertainment anywhere we go. The colours are lovely. I would and will be buying more as Christmas presents

Twistables...To use or not to use...I think not

Env: developmentTwistables sound great right, they come with an eraser on the ends of the crayon right, and you're like sweet if you make a mistake you can erase it! But noooo! Think again, you make a mistake and try to use their erasers, they smudge hardcore. They leave giant black marks across your paper or whatever you're drawing/colouring on. It's ridiculous. They crayons smudge a lot too, they leave excess shavings on your paper. Myself personally, I wouldn't buy it, I got them as a gift from a friend in school as a Christmas secret Santa thing. I used them and they were pretty horrible. I hated them, mostly because I couldn't use the eraser, they left scraps everywhere and it was a complete and utter mess. If you expose more of the lead than you want it ... MoreEnv: developmentTwistables sound great right, they come with an eraser on the ends of the crayon right, and you're like sweet if you make a mistake you can erase it! If you expose more of the lead than you want it could break off, and it's pretty much useless after it breaks off. I thought they were a waste of money and time. For me, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Too hard to write or draw with. I'll stick with normal coloured pencils any day of the week!Env: development
