1 Stars but 5+ stars with the right batch. Back in 2016 I bought a bottle and 2 sprays would like over 12 hours. EASY. Anywhere I went people would walk up to me and tell me how good I smelled. Even married women would say hey I'm not hitting on you but you smell amazing. Fast forward to 2021 era and I spray 5 sprays and my girlfriend cant even smell it on me 2 hours later. Do some google reviews, the batches are SUPER inconsistent. Recommendation is to get a sample from the store and check the batch number from the bottle it comes from. Try it out and then make sure that you buy a bottle with that specific batch number. My large 8 oz bottle is a complete waste.

The scent is amazing and one of the best around however the consistency of the batches makes purchasing this very risky. I’ve been wearing Aventus for many years now and the most recent bottle I’ve purchased fades within 30 minutes whereas the older bottles would last all night. If the other Creed fragrances have this issue as well I’ll have to find a new Go-To as spending $450+ on a bottle just to find out it fades super quick is unacceptable. Batch #L4221N01 is the batch I’m having issues with. #CM4219P21 was amazing.I’ll note that the Millesime Imperial and Love In White that I purchased for my wife have a very long staying power. The issues appear to be most common with Aventus and a quick Google search with confirm that.

A lot of people seem to be confused about the “inconsistency” of this fragrance so let me clear the air on the matter. In the same way that most prestigious bakeries have a starter dough that they’ve had for many, many years and use in their creations, the same is true for Creed Aventus. Each year a new batch is made, using the previous batch as the starter so naturally you will not be getting the same fragrance profile as a previous year. It’s one of the reasons the price is so high, because you’re paying for a century old batch.I preferred the stronger pineapple notes from 5+ years ago; I purchased a bottle in2022 that smells completely different from the other bottle. Still recommend the product!

I have been wearing Aventus since 2010. Although I am disappointed in the performance, I still enjoy the scent. For the price, the quality is simply not there. I am assuming that the new company will bring back the 120ML bottle and lower the price since there are many Aventus clones that project and last longer than the original. I enjoy layering Aventus with BR 540, Tuscan Leather, Virgin Island Water, and Dior Homme Eau De Parfum. I have literally had people run me down in stores asking me what I am wearing when I layer these fragrances. When I wear Aventus by itself, I receive compliments, but not nearly the compliments I get when I layer. With that said, Aventus is still a quality fragrance, but not nearly what is once was. In fact it has quite a different character altogether. Don't get me wrong it's still a pleasant scent, unfortunately this batch has the staying power of a shooting star. Woosh and it's gone! It barely lasts 30mins, and it is completely undetectable within the hour. I think this is a fragrance house that might just be relying on its past reputational laurels to sell, at best, an inconsistent and at worst an inferior product now. Given the premium price of this you should be able to rely on its quality but I just cannot recommend anyone to buy this. The quality thereafter and further drydown is just not there and it has to be these latest batches at fault.John Lewis customer service assures me the item is genuine and I respect that and 100% believe it is. As per the title, do not cast any suspicions toward John Lewis. The problem here lies with Creed. Search your LOT numbers online from your order and you'll likely find similar complaints from other buyers in the fragrance world.Any long time buyers take note of this before you buy.. I;'m writing this review in January 2020 and won't be buying Aventus from here, or anywhere until further reading of online reviews suggest the batches are back to their best. A little goes a long way that's what I love. Heads simply turn when i walk into a stale meeting room, restaurant or bar. Completely freshens up the room and non offensive.I only ever use two pumps on my neck and it lasts a good 9/10 hours. It's a stylish brand and very on trend right now.The bottle is very masculine and not too fluffy.Small and petite which is good for travel purposes.I was always advised if you buy cheap you buy twice. There is nothing to dislike.This is a premium quality product with a great fragrance range which will be around for a very long time.

It is with great sadness, I write this review. I have worn Adventus for many years. I remember my first bottle was 190$ for a small bottle. I have faithfully and loyally purchased this over and over the past years. My last bottle was a larger one, it went bad and I did not use it all. I just purchased a small bottle and this is definitely not what Creed Adventus used to be. It smells horrible and nothing like it use to. it does not have staying power and it use to stay on my clothes until I washed them. 335$ for something that is now horrible and a hassle to return. I think this may be the last time I give them a try after what I had hoped would be a lifetime relationship.
I bought this for my son as a christmas present . He loves it . Luxury in a bottle.The smell lasts all day from applying in the morning taking him through to the evening.Its just a little bit different and a distinct subtle aroma.The packaging makes it feel very special too.A special present.My friend loves it too and although Creed have perfumes she enjoys this fragrance in particular.
