Hands down the absolute best TROPICAL SUMMER FRAGRANCE!!! Close your eyes get your lungs filled with this elixir scent and you are instantly on a white-sand beach caressed by turquoise waters under a balmy wind. Take a sip of your piña colada and feel the gentle sun warming you up and drying that fresh cool island water. Opens up with a citric blast then it goes into a sweet rummy coconut note. It is clean and fresh, screams good times.

This fragrance opens with a beautiful combination of lime, coconut, and a slight bit of mandarin orange. The opening is very uplifting and reminiscent of a warm summer day. The lime and coconut last for almost the entire fragrance, but are accompanied by a fresh ginger, ylang-ylang, and some florals a few minutes in. My favorite part of the fragrance settles in around 20 minutes in when the musk and rum start to come into play. Although there is rum, this fragrance never comes off heavy or boozy, which I think is very appropriate for this particular blend. There is also a bit of sugar cane to add sweetness. The performance on this fragrance is good for what you’d expect from a fresh tropical fragrance at about 5 to 6 hours on skin. Virgin Island Water by Creed is the best coconut fragrance I have ever tried. I have tried a lot of colognes that claim to have a coconut note, but most of them are too weak and barely noticeable. Virgin Island Water, on the other hand, has a strong and authentic coconut scent that is truly delicious. SOTD: VIRGIN ISLAND WATER by CREED. This is by far one of my favorite summer fragrances, it’s Summer Vaca in a bottle. Inspired by a sailing trip near Ginger Island in the Caribbean, this perfume celebrates the tropical splendor and exotic scents carried by the Trade Winds of Sir Francis Drake Channel. Notes: it opens with a citrusy cocktail of white bergamot, Jamaican lime, Sicilian mandarin, and coconut. The heart includes Indian jasmine, and sweet hibiscus, exotic ylang-ylang, and cold, spicy ginger. The base includes sugar cane, musk, and white rum.. Hot summer day, drink in hand, this is an easy choice.

As you can see with the blue cap, I happen to own a very rare vintage bottle of this. This is a masterpiece summer fragrance. As the title suggests, it is a very realistic coconut, whereas the citrus and ginger help bring it some freshness and zing. The lime, sugary notes and rum give it a very sweet/sugar cane mojito type of smell. Put that with the fresh coconut mentions before and you can already see how this is a masterpiece for hot summer heat, tropical travel and beachsides. The heat really does bring out the best of this and I find it changes quite a bit during the day in these conditions. I do wish the fragrance was longer lasting though. Don't be afraid to be generous with the trigger, as this is a very friendly fragrance that is not likely to offend anyone.

Creed VIW

One of the best 5 minute fragrances you will ever smell. For the price, it should last at least 6 hours. I have tried non scented moisturizer to use before applying VIW and it just does not last. On a side note, if you apply Aventus wait five minutes and layer it with VIW, you will get an amazing scent that lasts a few hours. Come on Creed figure it out…….

I test Creed Virgin Island Water every time I am in the store (Newport Beach, CA Fashion Island) because I love it's initial "vacation"...however, as so many like myself experience, "it falls off and for that price no way be a buyer"...So, one would think Creed would pay attention to this?!!! Amph up this juice! Please! please because it is such a beautiful one and I would buy it!So a week ago, while in the store, picking up an online order I'd made. Leaving the store I noticed the FULL FRESH bottle of Creed VIW...and once again I spritzed it on...WOW! something's changed and for the better! Richer, stronger, and much improved.Have learned to let things settle and in hurry for happy hour we left for our favorite Bandera's. Really Lovely!

I was pleasantly surprised with this fragrance. It smells so good and didn't change when tested on me versus a paper card. I feel like it smells the same when first sprayed and after dry down which I really like! It's very tropical, coconut, and lime. It's a lovely fragrance on it's own or it's also fun to layer with other scents. I like that it stays fresh, light, and close to the skin so it's not too overpowering where people can smell you coming before seeing you.If you're unsure, I'd reach out to Kalle one of the virtual Creed specialists for help. She made different suggestions, helped me try out different scents, and figure out which one to go with.

Overtime as it dries down, you’re enveloped by a coconut essence which is smoothen by other ingredients such as ylang-ylang and Indian Jasmine.Personally, from using 4-5 sprays on the skin, this doesn’t last long (approx. 3-6 hours). However, keep in mind your skin type may allow the fragrance to latch on longer or even shorter than what I experienced. I experimented with vaseline and the fragrance remained fresher and longer for about 1-2 hours, so you could try this to see if the longevity improves for you.Projection is not too great, even during the initial 1-2 hours. Whilst you can find a fragrance thats popular, sophisticated, and high performance, its a lot harder to find one that you thoroughly enjoy from start to finish because it brings back some special memories that only you would know (and maybe those whom you shared those memories with). So for me its a very nostalgic and sentimental scent. There are other limey and coconut like fragrance in the market, but none I’ve found is more to my liking than VIW.Conclusion~ VIW is a tropical fragrance that has really nice lime and coconut notes. Obviously perfect for summertime. Scent doesn’t seem sweet nor musky, so it works as a unisex fragrance. I can see this works for young and middle aged groups, both new and experienced to fragrances. Longevity and projection isn’t great compared to others like Aventus or Green Irish Tweed, but if you love it like I do, go for it. Just be mindful of the price.
