I wish you could buyvjust top part of blade house. I have packed this awesome trimmer , I have 3 and everyone is missing top of blade housing. When you pack they pop off and when you unpack, its gotten lost at the crop ! I wish cricut had option to buy top of blade as I have 3 cutters, 4 extra blades and no tops, I dropped one and it flew off, I swept but could never find it! Why if we can but blades can't you sell top of housing too. It's great cutter buy I don't want to invest in 4th one just to have same happen. Please answer if I can get top! Otherwise it just comes off too easy! I got friscar but prefer cricut. Buy have a lot invested for repeated issue.

Bought this to help me make straight cuts. Went with the Cricut brand because its Cricut- it should be good quality right? Well I was wrong. It constantly rips the paper. I have to hold it down tight to make sure the paper doesnt go flying and when I do, this is when the paper rips. But if I dont hold it, the paper will move. I ended up having to use scissors regardless. Sucks. Worse thing is that I can return to store due to return policy. Don’t recommend this.

I have used this trimmer ever since I started on my Cricut Journey 3 yrs. ago. I think that the blades are sharp and last a long time. I use my trimmer almost everyday. But my trimmer gets a real workout when I embark on my large scale gift projects. Making over 100++ give away gifts for members of my congregation. My trimmer takes a beating during those times and it never disappoints. Literally cutting hundreds of small pieces of cardstock and it pulls through everytime. Yes, you do eventually have to replace the blade, but it's far and few between. I have a Fiskar trimmer and it just does not hold up like the Cricut Trimmer. I have to change the Fiskar trimmer blade after about 40-50 cuts, but not the Cricut. I always recommend this trimmer to all of my friends ... I have just ordered another trimmer as a gift for a friend. The trimmer is accurate and easy to use. The blades are very sharp and cut through, it seems like everything. the only time I experienced a problem was with thin paper. By simply putting another layer under the thin paper i got a wonderful clean cut. The blades are reasonably priced and seem to last longer than any other blade. I use the scoring blade when I need 1/16 th inch score lines. I also like that the line is very fine. For anyone purchasing the trimmer, they may want to purchase the scoring blade , that comes with an extra cutting blade. This trimmer is also great for the beginner paper crafter, who perhaps has not yet invested in a scoring board.

My ONLY con is that I dropped it (and my house has floors that open to another dimension when you drop something) The housing for the blade popped off and it could be in Westeros, Dorn or even beyond the wall for all I know.(no my house isn’t messy, things seem to roll or bounce to the most oddest of places) Anyway I haven’t much luck finding a replacement housing, I may need to invest in a new one and figure a way to rig the other to be a scorer only cause it’s is easy to find replacement blades or the pack that comes with a scorer “blade”. Ordered my trimmer on December 21. Received it within a week & love it. Have been using it a lot. Last night I was using it and the pull-out ruler would not stay connected. Just falls off. Not sure what happened.Called customer support and reached someone in the Philippians who told me I had to tke a video of the item and send it in to them. Why a video? Never had an issue with my older one, it's the pits because I use it all the time and I gave my old Cricut to my grand-daughter. Wish I had kept the older one instead of the new one.
I just received this as a Christmas gift yesterday but I already love its features. Having a ruler with both inches and centimeters right on the trimmer makes cutting more precise and I don't even have to draw lines on my paper ahead of time! Very handy and keeps my paper clean of pencil marks. I use it for making greeting cards so the fact that it's both small and portable plus long enough for large sheets of paper is very helpful. It also has a slide-out ruler that can measure paper as long as 15 in. It cuts card stock like a wiz! The transparent acrylic ruler bar helps me to see what I'm cutting very clearly. I was happy to be able to swivel the bar up to clean out any bits of paper caught underneath. However, you must be careful not to cut yourself when doing so ... The best cutter out there, even if you don't have a Cricut. This trimmer/cutter is the same cost as the ones you will find in the normal stationary aisles. The biggest difference is that the Cricut cutter can accommodate larger sheets up to 12 inches (as thats what you need to cut their vinyl). With the extra couple inches you get with this cutter, you also get a swing out arm to help you measure horizontal to your cut, and to help align your media straight before cutting. At first I thought I was gonna go save a few bucks in the next aisle, instead it was less than a dime difference for so much extra bang!
I bought this trimmer today in store and it is so smooth and glides easily when trimming vinyl! after reading some reviews i was abit hesitant but after testing the trimmer i was so glad i bought it. I have tested heavy cardstock and it is pretty hard to cut through. overall this product is great for cricut crafters and even just for regular crafts. This trimmer will definitely make my cricut projects easier and faster!!
