Crocs Men's LiteRide 360 Pacer Sneakers, Light Grey/Slate Grey, 8

I bought these shoes randomly while out and about. I was interested as they looked like regular everyday shoes aside from the "flashy" and obvious Crocs. Also a bit seller was the minimal logo.I've been wearing the shoes for a week while out and about as well as to work (office job). The shoes look like everyday sneakers! The holes on top allow lots of airflow but are small enough so others will not know if you're wearing socks or no, even if your socks are white or other contrasting color. The heel is very comfortable as well as the toes. But moving your toes reminds you of the little nimbles sticking up along the inside of the shoe. Very comfortable when walking but odd when you're remaining still simply moving your toes inside the shoe. The shoe is almost entirely rubber/plastic, including the shoelace eyes. The only fabric components are the tongue of the shoe and opening of the shoe. The shoe doesn't squeak when walking. Even better, when exposed to water, the sloshing sound is very minimal. I'm currently wearing my shoes with no show socks as my office is fairly cool, but they work just as well bare foot

I bought the Crocs LiteRide 360 Pacers based on a New York Times WireCutter recommendation. Big mistake! They're good looking shoes and worked fine when I wore them on the plane to a Mexican beach with socks. But then I used them without socks to walk to the beach. As purchasers have noted here and elsewhere, they literally create severe gashes on either side of your Achilles tendon. The problem becomes worse if sand gets into the shoes, and it will. There's a serious design flaw here. I still have scabs and scars a week and a half later. They're much cheaper now. I assume because consumers are being hurt by these shoes. These shoes should be taken off the market.

Decided to try these because they were on deep discount. I'm glad they did. They fit my feet perfectly. Normal Crocs are comfortable but very wide. They don't support my feet/ankles well. They are fine around the house but not great for extended standing and several other activities I do. These shoes, however, are great. They support my feet. They are a little narrow but I only notice this when I first put them on. Once I start moving, I just forget about them. They are that comfortable to me. They might not be for everyone but they are great for me.
